What could have been a cute little cabin in a convenient location turned out to be a sadly neglected property. It was filthy and had several safety and maintenance issues.
Absolutely the worst experience we have had with cabin rentals in North Carolina- the pictures online are not even close to the furniture they threw in this cabin.. TV would not work at all, no tv in bedroom as we were informed, sinks wouldn’t drain, and the only response we received was continua’s emails of “check the tv remotes”, so. We left after ZERO response and booked another EXCELLENT cabin!!
We had a wonderful time and this was a great little property. There were a few minor issues though: The faucet in the kitchen had only hot water and leaked from the cold water side. The towels had a really bad smell when you started to dry with them so we used beach towels we had brought from home. There was a huge broken branch from the tree that had fallen and was hanging on the porch railing. We had to shove it back to even be able to sit on the porch. Overall we would stay here again as it was a good location and a quiet area.
I enjoyed most of our stay, only a few issues. Property photos are not recent. The fireplace was not working - pilot light would not turn on. Price was really high for us having to put our garbage in our vehicle when we checked-out of the property. Take wood if you want to use the firepit.
Property was nice and very close to Bryson City and the Casino. Inside was clean but there ashes on the deck were someone had been smoking and bird poop was on the front stoop and all over the deck so getting in and out of the hot tub took some maneuvering as not to step in poop. We checked in fairly early so I am confident the cleaners just did not clean it up. Pulling into the driveway though is a safety hazard. There is no identifying marker to show where the driveway is. When we pulled in it was raining and leaves were covering everything. We almost drove off the embankment and straight into the front yard so just a sign or a reflector would have helped. But all that aside nice place.
