Very Disappointing
When we rent from VRBO, we expect a quality level similar to a hotel and to feel safe. The owner of this property maintains this property to a poor level of quality and defends the low level. I had to step on the king mattress to reach the ceiling fan cord to change the speed, the mattress crinkled under my feel like bubble wrap. All of the mattresses were bottom level quality. The towels were ratty and old. Not like the white towels shown in the photo. There was mold on the shower curtain which the owner said they replaced after we left. We did not feel safe in the unit. The sliding glass door did not have a security bar, some windows had broken locks, and window blinds were broken and a styrofoam sheet was placed between the blinds and the window to stop outsiders from seeing in. There was open food left in the cabinet from previous guest which we disposed of. The main gate to the community was broken (per the owner due to the hurricane) and we were not made aware of this situation. I had checked with the owner prior to arrival to make sure the property was not impacted by Hurricane Milton and he said there were no issues. Several people were freely walking onto the property for a very loud party. We stayed in the unit about 30 min and decided to leave at 11 pm and pivoted to a Marriott Vacation club property. Please be warned about this rental.
