The most perfect mountain getaway

We had such a wonderful time at Jay and Amy’s rental! They thought of everything, the attention to detail and cleanliness of the home was perfection. It made the ideal stay while visiting extended family in Woodland Park! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Great place!

We loved everything about the property. It was clean, easy to find and spacious enough for the 6 of us. The location was quiet (although we did expect it to be a bit more remote). We loved the deck and tried to use it as much as possible. Woodland Park itself is a short walk with lots to do. I highly recommend the property.

Anne’s Memorial

Enjoyed our stay. The lodge was clean and well maintained. Hosts were very easy to reach and helpful. Loved the tv and surround sound! Awesome back yard for the dog (even though last minute events caused us not too bring our dog). Great place to. Rent !

Perfect location for a getaway!

Excellent home for our family to stay! Hosts provided everything and more.. including grills, games, kitchen snacks, toiletries, and more. The location was perfect to go to Colorado Springs for our activities and you can even walk to the main town area. Check out the Donut Mill! There is a wal mart close by as well. We saw plenty of deer and enjoyed the Mountain Views. Wonderful!

Family vacation

Overall, a very good stay. Clean, quick responses from owner as needed. Some things were different than we expected, for example-no central A/C, and one bedroom changed from 2 single beds to bunk beds between the time when we booked and when we got to the property. Quiet neighborhood, easy to get around town.

Great location and a great place to stay

We loved our stay here. The neighborhood was very quiet, and the house was very close to Highway 24. All the activities we did were just minutes, if not right off of 24. We were close to Garden of the Gods, Red Rock Canyon, the Cliff Dwellings, Pikes Peak, Santa's Workshop and the Wolf Sanctuary. When we showed up there were fresh coffee beans in a grinder and both a drip and french press coffee maker. All the appliances we needed were supplied as well as the dishes, we do not eat out much. We would definitely stay here again.

Best VRBO Ever

Got in late but next morning there was fresh ground coffee, even half/half in fridge. Loft bed so comfy! Loads of amenities, great neighborhood close to many stores and restaurants. Hosts welcoming and attentive. An excellent base for all kinds of recreation close at hand. I highly recommend Tackle Mountain Lodge.

Quaint rustic cabin in quiet neighborhood

Older cabin, but was clean, cozy and comfortable. Hosts were easy to communicate with. The layout is a little funky in that the dog door entry is through one of the bedrooms, but that is minor. Hosts have thought of most everything in outfitting the place. Unfortunately, we had to cut our trip short due to weather so we only stayed 2 nights.

Perfect getaway for Woodland Park!

My family and I loved our stay here! The location was perfect for us, just right down the road from downtown Woodland Park (and yet tucked away from the traffic). The neighborhood was nice and quiet, and we saw deer come right by the house several times! The stay itself was roomy and provided everything we needed. Jay and Amy made sure we had all the bathroom necessities in case anything was forgotten (soap, shampoo, conditioner, and towels to name a few). We had a fully stocked kitchen which included an oven, spices, and all the cookware we could ever need. The beds were soft and comfortable. The added amenities of the bow and arrows, the bicycles, cornhole, and lots of games to play were a really nice touch! Highly recommend this stay for a group of family or friends!
