Pictures do not do this place justice!! It is so beautiful and it was so nice to stay out of the city. If you have kids they will absolute enjoy the pool and outdoor area. We were initially concerned about no kitchen however the way they have it set up makes it so practice and useable! The home was so nice, very clean and the supply closet was a great little bonus for the little things u may forget to bring! The homeowner was very friendly and responsive and it was nice to have such a relaxing peaceful place to stay!
We had a fantastic stay at Jennifer’s place! From the moment we arrived, it was clear how much she cares about making her guests feel welcome and comfortable. She greeted us with a thoughtful bottle of local wine and made it clear she was available for anything we needed—big or small. The home was a perfect jumping-off point for exploring Crater Lake National Park and the surrounding area. The nearby town made for a great morning coffee stop, and coming back to such a peaceful retreat each night was a treat. Both bedrooms open onto a long back patio with views of the beautiful 20-acre property. The pool area was a standout—we loved floating in the saltwater after a day of hiking. The outdoor Bluetooth speakers were a fun bonus for relaxing with music under the stars. There’s no full kitchen, but the space is well-equipped with a hot plate, microwave, fridge, and an impressive stock of snacks, coffee, tea, condiments, and more. One thing to note is that the bathroom uses a natural waste-only system, so paper goes in a bin rather than being flushed—not a big deal, just something to be aware of.Jennifer provided incredibly clear directions, which made navigating to the remote location a breeze. We also appreciated the small touches like board games, plenty of USB charging ports, and cozy outdoor seating. We only wish we had more time to soak it all in!
The home is clean, comfortable, and spacious. The bedrooms are a great size, beds are comfortable and rooms are private. Very easy access private drive up. Peaceful backyard view and a few steps to the salt water pool and hot tub. Fishing, hunting, or just relaxing we will stay again...
I can’t say enough about what a wonderful hostess Jennifer is. She is one of those people who take hospitality seriously, and she went out of her way on numerous occasions to be helpful and kind, often without our asking. It was wonderful!!!
The pool is the highlight of the property and it is quite lovely. The air conditioning was much appreciated too, as it was 110 degrees while we were there. There were all sorts of thoughtful amenities around the house, which our kids particularly enjoyed.

About the host
Hosted by Jennifer Gates
My husband Scott and I have been married almost 40 years. We have lived and traveled in many places. We love to experience new things and meet new people. Life is as full as you make it! After spending 30 years in the Tahoe area we decided to return to our roots and settled into our beautiful rural estate and small community. Being back and close to family and friends is our priority now. We love to share our beautiful place with people who love the outdoors and are wanting a place to rest, recharge and explore our beautiful surroundings.
Why they chose this property
Eagle Point and Shady Cove are prime locations to enjoy the Majestic Crater Lake National Park and the famous beautiful Rogue River. Our location gives you a great base camp to explore Southern Oregon, from the ocean to the mountains.
What makes this property unique
Skyfall Landing Estate is our home but we’ve chosen to use part of our 3500sqft home as a guest residence. With private entry and parking our guests can enjoy 1500sqft of tranquility as well as private use of our beautiful saltwater pool. The entire property is on 20 wooded private acres. The Rogue River is located across the main street with public access within a mile of our Estate. With game cameras on the back end of the property we’re pleased to see a healthy habitat that includes Elk, Deer, very shy bears, and some occasional cougars. ALL wildlife are very adept at staying hidden and have never been a nuisance or danger to us or guests.
