The Anna Maria Escape located at 725 North Shore Drive in Anna Maria city is just that - a peaceful, relaxed place to get away from it all. You can stroll on the beach for miles in either direction! It’s a perfect Anna Maria Island vacation home! This spacious and charming two bedroom, two bath Gulf front home has been recently updated and is decorated in bright, festive colors. The Anna Maria Escape features a 50” TV in the living room. A 36” TV is in the master bedroom while the guest bedroom has a 35" TV.

The home has a single car garage, full size washer and dryer and a large eat in kitchen.
Step right onto the beach from the private and tropical patio is perfect for relaxing, surrounded by native Florida plants. Enjoy cooking dinner on the grill.

The Anna Maria Escape sleeps six with two queen size beds and one sofa beds in the large living room. Small pets are allowed with a $150.00 non-refundable pet fee per pet.

Escape in Paradise

Family Vacation 2024

Reviewer Comments: Island Vacation Properties did their best to make this an enjoyable trip for us, HOWEVER, to refer to Anna Maria Escape as a Motel 6 of VRBO’s would almost be an insult to Motel 6. The first morning I reported that we had no hot water and the air conditioning wasn’t cooling well (Sunday June 30). Within an hour or two, IVP had a maintenance guy at the house. He didn’t know how to properly adjust the water heater temp so I ended up doing that myself. He also didn’t know anything about air conditioning other than having a laser thermometer. I’ll stop and say I have owned an air conditioning and electrical contracting company for the past 25 years. He put in a service request for a local hvac company to come out the next day. They can and did nothing so I reported again the next day, and then two days after that I reported again. I sweated myself to sleep every single night for 7 nights straight and that is very hard to enjoy. The owner of the property really needs to invest a little money in the property. At about $900 per night, this property is GROSSLY OVERPRICED! You’re only paying for the location and I’m pretty sure a Motel 6 on the beach in Hawaii is not $900/night. On top of all of that, the two bathrooms are so small one person can barely maneuver inside. If you’re a big person you can forget it. All in all, there are much better properties available for the money. I would definitely recommend steering clear of Anna Maria Escape until they decide to invest a little money into some much needed improvements.

Island Retreat-Not far from home

Beds were extremely comfortable. Front porch was were we spent time waving to the passersby. The back porch was very private with plenty of furniture and afternoon shade. Great view of the beach with a short walk to a very almost private beach. Nice shells. Clear water and many sea creatures. We felt like we were in a far away island. See you next year. Thanks

Quintessential Old Florida

The home is well maintained and has a well stocked kitchen along with plenty of coolers and beach toys. The inside is comfortable with a laid back charm. With its age come a few issues with the size and electrical in the bathrooms. One bath has been renovated nicely but is still small and has no electrical outlets. The other is very small and has not been renovated. The rest of the house is in great shape and being on the beach makes any small inconveniences worth while. We love this place!

My stay at the Anna Maria Escape

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, I was satisfied with my experience in this rental. There were some issues with the ceiling fans in one of the bedrooms. I also had issues with the faucet in the kitchen, but both were taken care of promptly. Originally I was supposed to be in a beachfront condo, but when it became clear that some ongoing work would not be completed in time for my arrival, I was offered this rental as a replacement. I think I would have been happier in the condo, and probably would not choose this rental again.

Nice Place on AMI

The property looks and feels like "old Florida", which is usually a good thing to most. It is a short drive to restaurants and other activities, and the access to the beach is great as it's just a short walk. It is also surrounded by many beautiful homes up and down the road.

We had a great time. Location was the best! The only issue was the second bathroom. It was not by the bedrooms it was by the garage behind the kitchen. No ventilation and super tiny. My husband couldn’t use it that’s how small it was. I wish on the rental description that would have been more clear. Other than that all was great!!!

Disappointing

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My experience overall was disappointing. The house in the pictures was way better looking than the reality of the house I stayed in. Let's start with the outside. The pictures show an unobstructed view of the sand and water from the kitchen and dining and master bedroom. Unfortunately, it is completely overgrown except for a 4-foot-wide path to the beach. On the left side most of the landscaping is dead probably from Ian and vver cleared out. Most of the widows do not fully seal so AC runs constantly trying to keep the house cool. The temp was set to 74. There are cables from cable TV running everywhere, most are not hooked up and are just hanging off the walls. Garbage and recycling are not separated so the recycling bin is half full of trash stuck to the inside of the container. Inside and outside there was at least 7 light bulbs that were burned out the I personally installed. There were bare and broken light fixtures, garage and most closets had broken or damaged junk in them. a total of four hangars. Old wires laying about including telephone wires. Most of the dishes were dirty. I washed just about everything over the week. The main bath had been renovated which was a plus however the other bath which is really a 3/4 bath (shower) only it was unusable (there was a water leak and large portions of the wall was coming off) and the commode space is like the size of a jet airplane toilet. It also stunk of sewage. Overall for just under $5k I expected a whole lot more. On the positive side the staff were very helpful in getting the propane for the new grill replaced and providing some light bulbs. They were kind and courteous.

Wonderful Time

One of the main issues was the second bathroom - the shower was unusable with the hole in the wall. Looked like it was just hobbled together. The other bathroom needs a new shower rod. It came down every time we tried to arrange the shower curtain. Other than the bathrooms, the place was very pleasant. Could use a bit of updating.

The staff was helpful when our code to enter did not work properly, even though it was a holiday weekend.

Cozy, clean and right on the beach!

We loved walking out the back on a beautiful sandy path right to the ocean. The privacy was welcoming too. So happy we were able to bring our small fur babies, but you would never know dog friendly due to the cleaning and fresh smells! The ease of checking in and out was perfect along with very sincere property managers, Island Vacation Properties. New cooking utensils, backing/cooking pans/sheets would be nice along with updated bathrooms. Thank you for a great beach vacation!

Birthday Getaway

This home was exactly what I had hoped it would be. A bit of still quaint Anna Maria Island with its classic beach vibe. The homes spacious living and gathering area complete with outdoor patio was the perfect venue to celebrate my birthday with family and friends. It’s a short stroll to the beachfront for sunrise and sunset walks. The homes quiet north shore location is a sweet spot for a low key getaway yet is within easy walking or biking distance to some great restaurants. I would not hesitate to return.

Great AMI place

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Can’t beat direct beach front on AMI and this home’s location is superior. The beach directly in front of the home was mostly empty the whole week we were there and the walk to Bean Point is super close. Booking, in instructions and out instructions all easy and clear. House was clean and fairly well appointed but outside furniture could use some updating as the table has only 2 working chairs. Supplies from management were enough for us (family of 4) but if you have 6 be aware you may need more trash bags and dishwasher detergent. Overall great space that worked well for us!

Reviewer Comments: Let me begin with the pros: the location is prime if you are truly looking to spend every second on the beach and you have littles. It was perfect for us to be able to “go home” midday to nap/feed kids lunch/snacks/bathroom etc. I’ve vacation on this island most of my life and my family and I just prefer the north shore!The cons: the property itself is showing it’s wear. It’s an older style property and there were several maintenance issues that needs to be addressed. Window mechanisms, windowsills and kitchen items all broken. For the price I feel like I just expected a clean, well kept property and this was not it. The management company however I will say was exceptional- even sent a cleaning crew over mid vacation to reclean the property! Just very dusty, hair in the bed, cockroach on the floor, etc. just not the cleanliness standard I would have expected for what we spent for a week vacation. Overall the location is everything so if you have lower standards for your house then this is it! But speaking from experience- there are other, better kept properties in the same price range.

Great Beach House

We absolutely fell in love with Anna Maria Island on this vacation. This is a great house right on the beach! We enjoyed watching all the wildlife around the house from rabbits to lizards and tortoises. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. We did wish we could see the ocean a little more from the back deck. However, it’s just a short walk from the back deck to be right on the beach (which is always our main goal on a beach vacation with three children). Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely book this house again.
