About this property

Cozy Cabin on Roan Mountain with a view and WIFI

Beautifully renovated cabin located on Roan Mountain with a view from the balcony & second bedroom. Able to sleep 4 adults with two queen beds and two full bathrooms or 6 people utilizing the pull out sofa. One bathroom is private, attached to the master, and the other has dual entrance with the second bedroom and the hallway. The second bedroom however has the best view of the mountain out the large sliding doors which leads out onto the balcony. The kitchen is fully outfitted with everything you would need to cook whenever you don't feel like going to the base of the mountain to the multiple local restaurants. A cozy sunken living room has the pull out couch to accommodate more family members. We've outfitted the living room with a tv, DVD player, a small collection of movies, and some family games. Though we don’t have cable, the DVD player allows you to stream from your Netflix or Amazon account. Down the stairs is the den where you will find the washer and dryer with allergy friendly detergent. The stairs has a retractable baby gate at the top (please use caution still as there is a small gap). You can access the fire pit easiest from downstairs. S'mores fan? It's a great place to relax with the family in the evening and still have a great view of the landscape. Be sure to check out the windows during your stay. We've seen a little fawn resting in the grass, as well as goats grazing, a chipmunk, and many birds darting around the trees. The cabin is my favorite place to relax with a good book, or tell days gone by stories with my family. At the top of the mountain you'll find the Appalachian trail and the renowned Rhododendron Gardens (best in bloom the month of June) or Beech Mountain for some skiing and sledding. Along the mountain are many trails and a historic homestead. Roan Mountain is located within about 30 minutes of Elizabethton, Johnson City and on the border of North Carolina's Elk Park. There's a little something for everyone in the family. Antiquing, city night life, hiking, skiing, and exploring the great outdoors, or relaxing indoors and out at the cabin. I think this part of Tennessee will become a favorite vacation spot year after year for you and your family.

This property is beautiful! The views are amazing and the property is meticulously maintained. Communicating with Nicolette was easy and she was very respponsive. The cabin is nicely outfitted with everything that you need. I highly reccommend booking this wondeful cabin.

We chose this cabin because it was close to Bristol but also in a quiet location that felt very out of town. Lovely cabin and comfortable for my husband and 2 of our children.

Great Cabin!

This is a great little cabin to stay in for any length of time in the Roan Mtn area. Everything you need is there and the host is very responsive. Very clean with lots of new furnishings. Nice view from the deck and very peaceful in the evenings and mornings with outdoor table to enjoy the view in comfort. Would absolutely stay here again.

Nice little cabin

Cabin was nice and clean in a beautiful area. Might want to get cable TV at some point but we got the Apps working no big deal. My wife and I enjoyed our stay. The price was right also.

Fantastic property

What a wonderful place. My husband (60's) and I had a wonderful time and Cannot wait to return. The views are breathtaking, and the local fair was Great! Such a nice place with nice people to boot! The Host was on point at every turn. Comfortable beads, living space and well equipped kitchen.

Quiet Cabin in the Mountain

What a beautiful place to stay! The host was prompt and professional answering any questions. Everything for a quiet getaway is there, complete with the deer wandering through the yard looking at you! The view from the deck is amazing! At night, you feel you can almost touch the stars!

Cabin was nicely decorated and located next to many gorgeous hiking trails. It does not have A/C. Also, it did have a power outage for 4 1/2 hours while we were there so we lost wifi, water and power. Fortunately, the owners made an adjustment to our fee to compensate us.

Couldn't ask for anything better

Everything was great. The beds were not very comfortable but that was the only negative. I appreciate the extras like having the kitchen fully stocked with tools and having extra towels and blankets. Perfect location for hiking on Roan Mountain.
