Pool Table, Ping Pong, Pet Friendly, Fantastic Location
We love coming up with our family and friends and think you will too. The floor plan is great for multiple families or groups with 6 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and 2 living spaces. The upstairs has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. One is a ensuite. The downstairs is the same but one of the bedrooms is a bunk room with 4 beds. If you need an extra beds, you'll find a pull out couch in the downstairs and there is a trundle bed if you need a place for another child. You'll find a hot tub on the deck next to the screened-in porch and a pool table and ping pong table downstairs. We have seating inside for 16 as well as dining for 8 more on the deck and porch.
In the winter months, we would strongly recommend 4-wheel drive vehicles for the secondary roads and for our driveway, which is steep. We have snow shovels there and suggest bringing snow melt if the forecast calls for snow or sleet. You will need to use those tools should there be weather!
We welcome up to 2 dogs and there is a pet fee.
I am always happy to answer questions. It is sometimes difficult to navigate all your choices! I rent on VRBO for my family vacations too so I understand the need to make sure you it is right for your group.

Location was great. Close to Boone, Blowing Rock and Ski Areas. The property worked out great. With 15 people there was room to spread out and not feel cramped. We had space to be together to play games and have family meals together.
Four Seasons is comfortable and well-stocked. The separate living room downstairs was great for some kid/adult separation. Ping pong and pool tables and the hot tub are fun to keep everyone entertained.
Our yearly, 2 night mountain trip 2025. Our friend group loves the Boone, Blowing Rock area so we look for a spot in that area... The house was close to the attractions we wanted to visit on that Saturday. Very fortunate that the weather was mild because the road/ driveway to the house is extremely steep. The house itself had positives and negatives. Positives- easy check in, 6 bedrooms , comfortable beds, nice fireplace, large covered, screened in deck. Negatives - musty smell, cobwebs throughout and cold downstairs.
We stayed and played comfortably for four days. Our host was available for every question large and small. We felt fortunate that the weather allowed us to travel the steep driveway. We were rewarded after the climb with good parking very near doors at both levels of the house The kitchen was well supplied with everything our family needed. I feel that the online descriptions are accurate and helped us prepare for our stay
Weekend snowboarding trip with the family. The house had lots of room. Was a little difficult to get to. 100% new four wheel drive to get up the driveway with the ice (which we had and it was still difficult). Hot tub was a nice feature but it wasn’t warm enough on night one to go in. Took a very long time to heat up. Bottom floor was very cold. Had to sleep with multiple blankets downstairs upstairs heated well with the fireplace. Would probably be very nice in the summer time.
This is the 20th year of our annual trip to the mountains to get a Christmas tree.
First time staying here.
The driveway is a little steep however it's a nice place and we enjoyed it.
Board games food and shopping trips.
We had 5 couples and the size of the house was perfect! There was one other room that would sleep 4 children comfortably. The back porch was where we spent most of our conversation time. The dining room table was a perfect size to share meals. The kitchen was well equipped and big enough to handle several cooks. The pool table, ping pong table and hot tub were great amenities too. We even spread our yoga mats out downstairs and all 10 of us did a yoga session one morning. The owner was very responsive to any questions. Great experience!
We hosted 9 family members from different states to celebrate over football games. The house accomodated our needs well. Liked the rec room especially.
This house is wonderfully located between Boone and Blowing Rock. It had plenty of dishes and cooking tinsels for our group of 10 to enjoy many meals together. We had an issue with the water pump and our host was very responsive and got repairmen there within hours.

August Family Weekend
The location and size was perfect for our group of 8 adults and 7 kids. The driveway is steep but was not an issue for us (we're from West Virginia and used to hills). The fire pit was not accessible by my elderly mother. Some of the outdoor furniture was badly damaged/aged. A ladder was sitting on the hot tub deck. The house was very dirty. Dirty towel, underwear and cigarette butt under one of the beds. The couch under the cushions was nasty. Rodent poop on the bunk beds and in the pull out couch downstairs. The host was very responsive and helpful with questions/communication.
Enjoyed our week long stay. Property was as described. Overall the house was clean-baseboards and light fixtures needed a bit of dusting. Lower level had a bit of a musty smell. Beds were great. Kitchen was small but functional. Plenty of space to spread out. Kids enjoyed the game room. Adults enjoyed the screened in porch. The drive way was a bit tricky but after getting up it the first time we knew better how to navigate it. The drive into town was about 5 minutes on a winding mountain road and we saw a family of deer several different times. Owner was great to work with and replied quickly when I had a couple of questions. Would definitely consider staying again.
We found the property to be just as it was listed. It was clean and well stocked for all our cooking needs. Just a few minutes into town. Driveway is a little tricky going up the side of the mountain and we had 5 cars so we maxed out the parking spaces. Only negative is there were many light bulbs out and one area was the stairs going down stairs. We had an older group and they could not see the steps. Almost all the fan lights had bulbs out but were too high for us to put a new ones in. We would go back.
Our stay was great! The house is designed in such a way that the 15 of us were able to be in a number of different places in the house!!! Lots of space and privacy upstairs and downstairs! The patios were huge and the hot tub was an added plus! The house was very close to many shopping places. We had a great time! Thinking about making this house a traditional trip to the mountains!
This property is located in a prime area. Very close to popular attractions in Boone and Blowing Rock. Very clean and well maintained. Very cozy yet very specious. We definitely look forward to renting again!
Bo
We LOVED this cabin. It was big and roomy and comfy. There were 5 couples and we had plenty of room to spread out or all congregate by the TV. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate for us to enjoy the nice porch. While we did not cook a big meal, the kitchen was stocked with plenty of dishes and anything we might have needed. The hosts were prompt when contacted about anything before or during our trip and very pleasant. We would absolutely rent this cabin again.
Just a note. Us big kids came to the Tweetsie Christmas Train. If you haven't been, we highly recommend it. Old or young. The lights were beautiful. Although a little soggy out but we didn't let it ruin a great time.

About the host
Hosted by Hunter Buxton
We rented places in the mountains of North Carolina for years and years until we were able to buy a place of our own. We loved sharing the beauty and activities this area offers with our three children. If you would like recommendations for secret swimming holes, great near-by hikes or restaurants, let us know and we will tell you what we have learned.
Why they chose this property
We chose this house because it was big enough to hold lots of friends and family and we could not ask for a better location. The pavement ends right by our drive. Going left out of the drive and you can take a lovely walk with the dog -- it's a very short and gorgeous drive to the parkway, fishing , hiking , etc. If you go right out of the drive, you are 5-10 minutes from either Boone or Blowing Rock and all the amenities of those areas. We have a view from the screened porch and are surrounded by trees.
What makes this property unique
I've tried to make the house feel distinctive and added lots to do like pool, ping pong and games. My favorite part is the large screended in porch.
