Lovely House

We absolutely loved our stay in this house. It is beautifully maintained, comfortable and we immediately felt at home. The beds were super comfortable, the kitchen was great and it was the perfect house to host friends for cocktails. I highly recommend this property!

Great home for active family

Comfortable and nicely updated home in a great neighborhood, blocks from downtown and Smith College. Every aspect of stay went smoothly. Less than a mile to grocery store and ymca, dozens of restaurants and running trails. Also enjoyed short drives to Amherst and basketball hall of fame in Springfield.

Very comfortable stay in a convenient location!

My family of four and I had a wonderful stay in Northampton over Memorial Day weekend. Christopher was an excellent host -- installed AC units in advance of the 90+ degree weather, and even left us flowers and a box of chocolates! Couldn't have asked for a more comfortable or convenient place to stay. Thanks very much!! Amy

Beautiful home in charming neighborhood

This is an immaculate home in a charming neighborhood within easy walking distance of Smith College and downtown Northampton. Our family stayed for a long weekend and everyone enjoyed the house, especially the attractive kitchen, dining and living areas. We made several meals and the kitchen had everything we needed. This home is warmly and beautifully decorated but there is no clutter. I highly recommend this rental and we hope to stay again.

Comfortable property with attentive but unobtrusive manager.

Comfortable and well equipped property. Nice touches on arrival with chocolates and flowers. Kitchen had all things needed and quite a few bits and bobs that otherwise you might find yourself having to buy during a stay. Quiet street, walkable to town centre shops and restaurants in Northampton. Northampton is an interesting if a little quirky mixture , it made for a good base to explore the area. I’d suggest the town needs to do something re it’s homeless / beggars -as it seems to be a bit of a magnet given its liberal image - but that’s no doubt just an unfortunate illustration of wider social problems.

A+ . Christopher is great.

The house was clean, well appointed, very comfortable, the kitchen was stocked with all necessary utensils, cookware and dishes. We loved the grill, and outdoor seating in both the front and back porch complete with ambient lighting. The location is ideal and it is a nice neighborhood of other charming homes.

Great home in lovely neighborhood. Nice for a family gathering

We had a lovely time at Christopher's lovely NoHo home. Our daughter got married and we hosted a day-after wedding brunch at the home. We had guests from Massachusetts, Wisconsin, Ohio, Illinois and Germany. They loved the backyard with water feature as well as the beautiful front porch. This is a great home that is comfortable and a wonderful place to enjoy family and friends!

Wonderful family vacation for Smith Reunion

This was our 2nd stay at Christopher’s wonderful home. We enjoyed 10 wonderful days (and beautiful weather) in and around Northampton. My son also enjoyed his 2nd birthday here, especially the rocking chairs on the porch. The house has everything you need and superbly equipped. Christopher is a warm and gracious host and we will be back next year!

Wonderful family home in the heart of Northampton close to Smith College

Christopher was an outstanding host from beginning to end. We visited from the U.K. and spent 7 days at the house. The flowers and chocolates upon arrival were a wonderful touch and very much appreciated. The house is incredibly spacious and every feature and detail in the property has been thought through. The house was an excellent base to explore the nearby area and after a day out, we were always excited to return ‘home’. We loved cooking in the kitchen and we our local family popped over, they commented on how splendid the house was too. Our children (1 and 3) loved exploring the house but their highlight was the visit from three bears (a sow and two cubs) who were roaming the neighbourhood. We can’t wait for our next trip to Christopher’s house (in May 2019).

Property was very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay.

Thirty years ago we lived on Crescent street before moving to Chicago. So our visit was a trip down memory lane. The house was very nice and more than met our needs.

well equipped, lovely home in a charming neighborhood.

We had a family wedding in the area so 5 of us stayed there. It was a very comfortable house with everything we needed. The furnishings were all in good shape and very attractive. The kitchen was well appointed. Since the weather was good we also enjoyed sitting in the backyard which is small but very nice. We found everything we needed, sheets and towels all good quality. The beds and pillows very comfy. Very conveniently located and walkable to Northampton's shops and restaurants. Thanks for the pleasant stay.

Clean, curated, convenient classic home ...

... within walking distance of Smith College, close proximity to downtown Northhampton and easily accessible to the rest of Pioneer Valley, Chris has crafted a true home-away-from-home. Two families gathering for a momentous reunion weekend easily shared this home. The only thing that would have made it an absolute 100 would have been a second full bath 😉

Wonderful house for wedding weekend!

My now-husband and a few friends stayed in this house for our wedding weekend. It's a beautiful house with a lovely open downstairs area. We had hair and makeup done for six of us girls in the kitchen and living room and it was a great bright, sunny space for this. It's also a great location! After the wedding we had an after party in downtown Northampton, and my brand new husband and I walked home afterwards. Beautiful end to the night. All of our guests were from out of town and everybody loved visiting the Pioneer Valley - I'll rec this house to anyone coming back for another visit!!! Nice owner, easy communication, very welcoming. Thanks for everything!!

Nicely appointed, comfortable and clean. Perfect location.

Upon our arrival, the back yard was not as advertised due to remodel work on the garage but Christopher responded professionally to our concern. Otherwise the house was spot on the description and was quite charming. We found everything we needed for cooking meals in. We very much enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this property.

I'm an enthusiastic restorer of beautiful old homes and fell in love with this charming turn of the century Dutch Colonial. After 6 years of restoration I find I'm away from the area more and more for extended business trips or visiting relatives. When I'm in the area I use the detached Carriage House apartment and park on the street.
