Waterfront Lake Home on Tranquil Harwinton Lake with spectacular 180⁰ view.

Enjoy a lovely classic New England vacation in this lake front,open concept, home on Harwinton Lake. Relax and enjoy the beautiful 180⁰ scenery and gentle breezes. During the summer months swim directly from the backyard, or if you prefer to have company, a short walk will take you to the shared community beach (there are a total of 3 sandy beaches around the lake). Our home provides a spacious yard and deck for barbecuing, sun bathing (lounge chairs provided), swimming, kayaking (one and two person kayak provided), fishing (lake is stocked with trout, bass, perch), or napping in the hammock for 2. You can also enjoy a 2 mile walk or bike ride around the lake. Our home is light and bright, open concept with wall to wall windows overlooking the water and we have a lovely wood burning fireplace for romantic evenings or a large firepit by the waters edge for s'mores!
In the winter months: enjoy ice skating, ice fishing, and ski areas are close by.

Amenities: central air/heat, stainless steel appliances, washer and dryer, Smart TV, linens and towels, as well as beach blanket and towels are provided.
Lots of great restaurants, shopping, antiquing, wine trails, golfing, river tubing, Warner Theater for shows are all close by, and Mohegan Sun and Foxwood Casinos are within an hours drive. Lots to do and see or just relax and do nothing!

Relaxing getaway
My husband and I, along with our 2 Golden Retrievers, spent 4 nights in this home. The home is absolutely beautiful and exceeded our expectations. Comfortable furniture and fully stocked, we wanted for nothing. We would definitely stay here again if we are ever in the area.

Lovely vacation home
This was our second visit to this property and we loved it as much as our first. Beautiful home, fully stocked kitchen, comfortable beds. We especially enjoyed the evenings spent by the lakeside fire pit with friends and family. Perfect spot.

Lovely home
We had a wonderful time. The house was very well kept. We enjoyed the yard and back deck. My dogs loved sitting in the backyard and watching nature. It was a nice getaway from everyday life. Paul was excellent when we asked to have the temperature adjusted. They are very accommodating. It was a wonderful experience.

Lovely home on peaceful Lake Harwinton. Plenty to do in the area if you so choose…or just hang out in front of the fireplace, on the deck or by the fire pit. Enjoyed our down time and the weather was spectacular!

It was a sweet little place, getting the boats in and out of the water was a bit of a challenge, but we enjoyed a paddle to the sandy beach to swim every morning. Loved the ladder-ball and the fire pit.

Beautiful Lake Home
This Lake Home has ALL the comforts of being home that comes with great views of the lake. So beautiful inside. Nice grassy back yard with fire pit, picnic tables, chairs to relax and listen to birds, frogs and just be amaze with the views. Very relaxing sitting or eating on the back deck looking at the lake. We did kayaking, swimming & fishing.(lots of fish in this lake!) Paul & Ella are great hosts that responds to all questions in very short time. This is one of those places that you will return again. Thank you Paul & Ella for sharing this beautiful Lake home.

Tranquil setting
This was our second two week stay at the lake house. We love kayaking and swimming on the lake. Sitting on the deck watching the wildlife is very relaxing. Our grandchildren visited us daily and also love the house, yard and lake. Thank you for a great two weeks.

Perfect weekend get away
My partner, our dog Toro, and I spent the weekend in this house. It is perfect for two and well-equipped for anything you want to do at the lake. We were there mid-May, and it was still too cold to get in the water. Our dog loved the backyard, but we didn't see any neighbors. A few OK options nearby to eat or DoorDash.

Cottage on a he lake was lovely with great water views. We didn’t get to take complete advantage due to Connecticut spring weather but highly recommend! Only recommendation is too upgrade the bath towels.

We had a pleasant stay. The fire pit by the water let us have a couple of pleasant outdoor evenings on cool nights. Very pet friendly with a nice big yard for the dog. 😊

Property is beautiful Ella is always helpful. Only problem was they start draining the lake in mid October I never came this late before. But we still had beautiful fires by the lake

Nice views, not spectacular
Positives, Good Owner response, home is well appointed. Negatives, this was a rental and I do not expect to find sheets left out to make the bed, I paid to use the house and do not want to call the owner if I choose to adjust the heat. On Check Out Sheet, it was suggested that the bedding, towels and laundry be started prior to leaving. We have rented numerous homes, have a great rating and have never encountered these issues.

Charming lakefront cottage
This charming lakefront cottage on Lake Harwinton was perfect for our getaway weekend. Lots of room for the 2 of us and our dog. The cottage was super-clean and comfy, with lovely views of the lake; the interior decor was delightful. The house was stocked with everything you could think of. It was an easy drive to local grocery and dining. The Lake Harwinton area was quiet with lakefront cottages and it was a comfortable 1-2 mile walk on the road around the lake. Rainy weather prevented us from making use of the kayaks, deck and grill, but we still had a great time. We would love to return!

My cousin and I stayed at this charming cottage on the lake for a girl's weekend visiting three wineries on the CT Wine Trail. It was the perfect location to get to them all easily. The house itself was wonderful, very homey. Loved the warm furniture, comfy beds, well stocked kitchen and bathroom, and of course the lake views/access was the absolute BEST part. Gorgeous views from the house and only steps to the lakefront from the deck. We will definitely be back!

Really beautiful spot, house was very clean and stocked with anything you might need. Lake was lovely for swimming and kayaking. Even the neighbors were friendly and welcoming! Will definitely come back next summer!

We love the water and especially this lake. We looked for years before buying a home on beach drive. The scenery from this side of the lake is quite breathtaking and tranquil.

Why they chose this property

No motor boats on the lake, just small electric engines, kayaks and sail boats. When the sun sets it creates a picture image of the trees and homes from across the lake on the lake surface.
