My family and I stayed here over Thanksgiving and it was such a treat! The home was immaculate and well organized. The owners have thought of everything you could need, regardless of the season. The beds were luxurious, the views were stunning, and the gourmet kitchen was a delight to cook in. We were all just blown away and can’t wait to come back.
My family and in-laws stayed for the Labor Day weekend at this beautiful property. Everything my in-laws needed could be delivered.. beautiful views, a happy grandchild and comfortable space. We also had my MIL’s brother and wife join us for a day and they also enjoyed the place. An overall wonderful experience and a great host in Mark.
Our group of 3 adult family couples stayed for 2 nights and the place was just as advertised. Basically 3 master suites and huge living area with every amenity you could need.
Mark is easy to coordinate with and very accommodating.
This is easily the best rental me + my friends have ever been to. We take a Memorial Day trip every year, and this one topped the list. The location was great, the owner was responsive and beyond accommodating, the neighbors were kind and talked with us for awhile. Everything looked professionally clean and the space was huge! We will be back!
Beautiful home with all the bells and whistles! The kitchen contains every utensil you could possibly need. Every light switch is labeled and the entire home is very user friendly. The weather was not great but we found plenty to do. We visited Tangier Island, went antiquing and visited several wineries. We had a great week and would highly recommend this beautiful home!
Cranes Creek Lodge is the Best water-side vacation home ever!
Cranes Creek Lodge is the most comfortable and beautifully decorated vacation home we’ve been to. It has everything we could ask for in a relaxing waterside setting; spacious rooms, gourmet kitchen with high quality appliances, comfortable furniture throughout, soft fluffy bedding and towels. And then there’s the setting. We relaxed in rocking chairs on the back porch enjoying the beautiful water view, sitting on the dock and playing on the water in the pedal boat and kayak.
Mark was an exceptional host and easy to communicate with.
We hope to visit Cranes Creek Lodge again soon!
This is the place to spend a relaxing and fun filled get away. The home was beautiful and provided all the amenities we needed. Mark was readily available by text and gave us a warm welcome as well as any clarification to questions.
We kayaked, crabbed, jet skied, and enjoyed fireworks from the dock. Venturing locally, we found a great restaurant serving a crab on crab sandwich as a special and then visited wineries within just a few miles.
We will be back.
We were two families with kids.
The house was perfectly organized and equipped with everything you can imagine you would need in a vacation house, down to the smallest details (there were even crab baits ready for use in the freezer!).
Mark, the owner, was super helpful and always available for every question we had.
We spent here the weekend of Thanksgiving, but this is a great spot for a spring/summer vacation, getting the most out of the pear, kayaks and paddle boat.
We would definitely recommend this place!
This is a special property. The house is warm and inviting while offering all you could ask for in terms of comfort, amenities, location, and host. We had ample and productive communication with the host to accommodate a couple of requests from us, which were quickly resolved. As a more than average cook, the kitchen was a dream for me, offering all I could ask for as I worked to feed a group of six during our stay. Want to relax? Sit on the porch overlooking the river or go out and enjoy the chairs on the dock while you fish or crab for dinner. This place had it all and we hope that we can visit again before too long.
The house and property are amazing. Very quiet with a fantastic water view. Mark, the owner, was quick to answer questions and help. There was 8 of us total (4 adults, 4 kids (12,8,7,5)) and there was more than enough room. The kids practically lived on the dock all weekend fishing and catching crabs, as the owner supplied 2 crab traps and bait. Caught enough crab for everyone for dinner one night. Plenty of places to dine out in the area. Typically, a 20-25 minute drive, but always easy and scenic. Local wineries were a good excursion as well, Good Luck Cellars and Jacey are very close to the house and make great wine. Loved it! Can't wait to stay again.
