About this property

Tiny House - Private Mountainside Retreat - Pet Friendly

Perfect place for a short stay. Hot shower and comfortable bed.
Enjoy our rustic tiny house located high atop a ridge with mountain views and privacy. Cook dinner on the charcoal grill, light a campfire in the fire pit, then drift off to sleep in the loft while listening to the peaceful sound of Bee Tree Creek in the distance. Or if it is night life you prefer, enjoy the food and breweries of Asheville (just a short 15 minute drive away). We would love to share our Smokey Mountain hideaway with you. Starlink internet no TV. DRIVEWAY IS GRAVEL AND STEEP. I would recommend 4 wheel drive.

Sleeps 2-3. Kitchen has a refrigerator/freezer, stove top, toaster oven, microwave and Keurig coffee maker. Coffee, cream & sugar provided.

Full bathroom with a shower, queen size bed in the loft, futon in the living area folds down to make additional sleeping area. Firepit (wood provided) and charcoal grill.

Queen bed is located in the loft (with ladder access). Futon in living area folds down to make a bed. All bedding and linens provided. Dogs welcome, we charge a one time $30 pet fee.

Kitchen has cooktop (2 burner) , toaster oven, microwave, refrigerator, freezer and Keurig coffee maker. We provide pots, pans, dishes, paper towels, coffee, cream & sugar. We also provide firewood (you may want to bring fire starters). You may also want to bring charcoal and lighter fluid for the charcoal grill.

The full bathroom has a walk-in shower, regular flushing toilet and sink. We provide hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner and body wash.

Driveway is gravel and steep, 4-wheel drive is recommended. The driveway is off of a main paved road. There are a couple other homes on the driveway, look for the Honey Bear sign and go to the top of the hill. Location is completely private and has great mountain views. There is one parking space at the bottom of the driveway if you want to park and walk up.

Honey Bear Cabin

We had a wonderful stay at the Honey Bear Cabin. The tiny house was well stocked, clean, and comfortable for a family of 3 and large dog. Great views of the mountains from the fire pit, picnic table, and front porch. Hoping to stay again in the future!

Tiny House

My son and I enjoyed our stay at this property. The place was fully stocked with all the items we needed, including a ton of firewood. The cabin was very clean and cozy. We will be back!

Cozy tiny home near Asheville

A great little place with nice personal touches everywhere. Owner was very responsive. The place was great for my wife and I and our dog. It’s situated up a long hill that leaves it secluded enough from the other houses to still give you a “getaway” feeling. Heater worked great! The whole place was decorated nicely. Kitchen came supplied with really everything you’d need.

Great Getaway House!

This house exceeded our expectations. The place was clean and equipped with everything two people needed. The house was quiet and peaceful and was a great escape for a long weekend. The location was close to several hikes and took 15 minutes to get to downtown Asheville. We highly recommend this home for anyone looking for a quiet weekend getaway.

Perfect location

This tiny home was the perfect location for privacy but close to a lot of attractions. We were able to drive several miles of the Blue Ridge Parkway and enjoyed our stay. This tiny house has so many perks! Charcoal grill, fire pit, outside seating, extra blankets, a blanket for use outside, and so many little extras! The host has thought of almost everything!! Thank you for this amazing stay!

A cozy and lovely little place near all Blue Ridge adventures

This property was located right outside Asheville downtown about 18min, we were able to visit the trails during the day as is also very close to the Blue Ridge Parkway entrances that take you to numerous trails and endless fun, after sundown was easy to land on Asheville downtown east or west side to enjoy it's awesome vibe and later head back to our own little private glimpse of forest at this property. The experience was amazing, the place was equipped with everything and then some, we cooked outside, warmed up by the fire pit, cooked inside, always keeping everything clean after and smell proof due to animals in the area, the entire surrounding area is beautiful, very quiet, in a very private community, we loved everything about it. Strongly recommend it to anyone.
