The space
The Lafayette was built in 1898, It is one of the earliest apartment buildings in Washington, DC. It incorporates elements of the Queen Anne style in its brick facade and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. All the interiors are fully renovated and extremely clean.
Important note: Most of the area where you will stay is in the basement. The windows don't open. It's a very unique and cool layout.
