About this property
2nd Floor of home in the country 2Bdrm lots of parking, Spacious & peaceful
Forget your worries in this spacious and serene space.
located 45 minutes from Portland and 20 minutes from Lewiston/Auburn. about 35 minutes to Augusta. Pineland is also only a short distance away. There are also several Apple orchards and Hiking trails in the area. This is not in a city and not on a main road. The home is down a dead-end road out in the country. So, if you like hearing owls at night and hawks in the morning and seeing lots of trees this place is for you.
The space
The whole upstairs is for you with its own private entrance. There is plenty of parking the house sits on a dead-end road which will need 4-wheel drive in the wintertime and spring (November to April) there is a hill to walk up to get to the stairs of the home and the hill is slippery in the wintertime. This space is for 4 people more than that would be an extra fee. There is enough room for up to 8 max to sleep.
Guest access
ENTRANCE: When you enter the home you have a closet to place your shoes and coats.
THE KITCHENETTE: When you first walk in the home there is a kitchenette to your right and it has a Keurig coffee maker, small refrigerator with a tiny freezer, Toaster oven, microwave, and a filtered water dispenser. There is no sink in the kitchenette area. I also supply some k-cups, tea bags as well as some creamer and sugar.
DINING ROOM AND LIVING ROOM: This living space is an open concept living area with a table for 4 and a leather sectional as well as a flat screen TV hanging on the wall. On one end there is a desk with a chair. There is Wi-fi in the home and there are several apps on the tv you can log into your own account. You also have your own thermostat in this area as well for heat in the colder months.
BEDROOM #1: Has a queen size bed a futon couch which is full-size and a closet as well as a dresser.
BEDROOM #2: Has a full-size bed and a leather lounge chair as well as a dresser.
BATHROOM: Has a stand-up shower. Please note there is not a washer or dryer available but there are several laundromats within 20 minutes.
OUTSIDE: The whole back yard is your area. There is a patio table with 4 chairs and a charcoal/propane grill. Please bring your own charcoal or refill the propane tank if you use it. There is also a fire pit with 4 Adirondack chairs.
Other things to note:
PETS: I do allow pets currently. But I do have a dog and she does not get along with any animals. I would want to make sure that your pet and her did not come in contact at all. She is tied out when she goes outside. She is very friendly but please do not approach her. She loves people so much! Please let me know if you are going to be traveling with your pet. Thank you!
Please note that I live downstairs and quiet hours are from 10pm to 6am I have a young child, so I am not looking for people to come here to have parties that's all.
Located 45 minutes from Downtown Portland and 20 minutes from Lewiston/Auburn. Also 5 minutes from Range Pond state park. This home was built in 1986 on 5 acres mostly wooded and private. The home is a raised ranch style, I live in the downstairs of the home but there will be no shared living space.
Getting around
There is nothing within walking distance you will need a vehicle and most of the time it needs to be in an all-wheel drive or four-wheel drive vehicle due to private road conditions. This home is not near the city and not on a main road.
