We traveled to the cottage to watch the solar eclipse and made a mini vacation out of the event. We were pleasantly surprised at the comfort and convenience here. The cottage was so close to everything we wanted to do, we barely drove at all. Lake Erie was a short drive away with many restaurants around. Lily Dale was a quaint town that had a lot of fun and interesting things to see and do. The nature trails and privacy of the cottage were perfect for us and we feel very relaxed and revived after staying here. It also helped that the beds/pillows and couch were comfortable and warm. The kitchen and bathroom had everything we needed - it was like being at home. The outdoor seating options were great and it was fun to watch the deer and birds close by. We would love to come back in the summer months!

Beware!
The property was not at all as expected.
There is no privacy from the neighbors on either side.
Everything needs to be dusted and the floors weren't swept.
The coffee pot was disgusting, I don't think it's ever been cleaned.
The furniture and pillows smell musky, and I ended up becoming very sick from mold exposure.
There is a large hole in the living room floor that has been covered with loose planks of wood that aren't secure.
The heat wasn't on when I arrived and the cottage was freezing. It was in the 30s outside!
Between the cold temperature and difficulty breathing, I left after staying only 12 hours of my weekend reservation.
I've reported this all to vrbo.
