About this property
Lovely, relaxing and private lakefront 3 BR home with stunning lake views.
Walk in and quickly feel the tension subside in our bright and cozy 3 BR home at Quick Escape. Situated less than 20 feet from shore, you’ll feel like you’re floating on the lake with abundant water views around the open concept kitchen/dining and sitting area. 3 large sliding glass doors open to the newly renovated trex deck. Located at the end of a private and safe association road you can leave the noise and traffic behind yet still be within 10 minutes of a plethora of other activities for kids and adults alike.
Tons of natural light and lake views can be seen from almost every room in the house. The large dining table provides plenty of space for gathering together of at least 8. Lots of games, puzzles, 3 Roku TVs with streaming capabilities and Wi-Fi mean you can be as connected or off-grid as you wish. The kitchen is completely stocked for all your needs. Three bedrooms have plenty of room for your family: bedroom 1 has a queen bed and is located on the main floor; bedroom 2, located in the loft, has a queen bed, tv and overlooks a large picture window of the lake for amazing sunrise views right from your bed; bedroom 3 is its own entertainment area, which includes two twin over full bunk beds, and a queen sofa/pull-out, large TV, chaise lounge and table for games and separate slider door to the lake. Bed linens are provided including down-alternative comforters with duvet covers. Two full bathrooms for your use: the main floor bathroom is clean and bright with a shower/jet tub and a second, full bath with shower (new 2024) just off the bunkroom downstairs. Bathrooms are stocked with bath towels and beach towels.
Our home is well appointed with kitchen wear, linens, books, games, puzzles, and toys. Ice cream, sandwich shop and local market are minutes away; property is 10 minutes from Naples, 12 minutes from Windham and 25 miles from Portland. We also live at the house part-time so the home is prepared with all the comforts of home for families. Kids or parents want to get away LOL? The kids can be kept totally content in the basement bedroom which has plenty of space with a sofa, chaise lounge, large TV, table for games and puzzles as well as a separate bathroom.
In late spring to mid-fall, a private dock is installed for your use. After a day on the water, entertainment options at home include free WiFi and three streaming-capable TVs and plenty of board games and puzzles. Fire up the gas grill for an easy dinner, hang on the lit deck or head out to the waterfront firepit to toast some marshmallows or enjoy your favorite beverages in our oversized Adirondack chairs.
Apart from the lake itself, one of our favorite things about our home and its location is the feeling of peacefulness and privacy (you will barely see cars drive by as we are located at the end of a quiet, safe association), yet within a 5-10 minute drive in either direction and you can shop, hike, play a round of golf, or take the kids to the nearby adventure park that has a splash pad, mini-golf and go-carts. Plenty of restaurants and major shopping located within 15 minutes and Portland is within 40 minutes. It’s the best of both worlds.
Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

About the host
Hosted by Leslee and Marc Quick

I am from Massachusetts but grew up spending many winter trips skiing and summer trips north and fell in love with the Maine way of life. For this reason, my husband and I purchased our lakefront home on Thomas Pond as our "escape". Now we have one daughter in college and another soon to be in college and lots less time to be at the house so we want to share our love for our home, its location and all that it offers to our guests when we can't be there. This home is also ours and you will absolutely feel the "hominess" when you arrive.
We love to do activities which made this home perfect for us: hiking around the area, taking walks at Sebago Lake State Park, skiing in the winter within 30 min, going into Bridgton for the drive-in, Music on Main, golfing and the summer activities. We love it just as much in the spring and fall as we do in the summer and winter. Because of the sun the house gets in the morning there's nothing nicer than taking a hot coffee or tea out on to the deck and just sitting on the chairs. You may see Burt (that's what I call him) our resident eagle and you will definitely hear the loons.

Why they chose this property
I absolutely love Thomas Pond. It's got plenty of room for boating (540 acres) but you won't see a lot of boat traffic as there aren't any public launches into the lake. The private association road is very quiet towards the end of the cul-de-sac where we are located and barely a car drives by which makes it very safe for children and walks. But if you are looking for a little more excitement you are within 5 minutes of 18 holes of golf, Sebago State Park and 10 minutes of markets, restaurants and lots of activities.
What makes this property unique
This home is also our home, so it's very nicely appointed with touches of home with our love of the lake and the outdoors. The house is also close to the water so the views from the kitchen and living room makes you think you are "on the water". And the view from the loft is just stunning to wake up to, especially if you like the sunrises.
I have rented many houses in the past so I understand what I like and don't like about houses so I have made sure our house has all the amenities you could need. You don't need to trek up linens and towels, we have them already at the house for your use.
