Cosy apartment with magical roof terrace
This cute Xochimilco apartment is the perfect base for exploring Oaxaca. Situated in a safe family compound, you’ll be surrounded by beautiful garden terraces with spectacular mountain views.
The compound’s rich collection of local art, ceramics and plants will give you a uniquely Oaxacan experience, while UV purified water, fast internet, a plush bed and sofa, and dedicated housekeepers will ensure your stay is comfortable.
The space: The apartment is compact but cosy, with a fully equipped kitchen and comfy corner sofa. The bedroom area contains a queen size bed and plenty of storage, and the bathroom has a generously sized shower with good pressure. There is AC and mosquito netting.
Guest access: The apartment is in a private, secure compound on a separate level from the main casa which houses two other apartments. There is a small patio yard directly outside, and guests also have access to a large roof terrace with far reaching views across town to the Sierra Norte mountains.

I moved to Mexico 25 years ago, from Guatemala, where my husband and I owned a Caribbean hotel. As a ceramicist, it’s no surprise that I fell in love with Oaxaca and have spent two happy decades here, extending and furnishing our Xochimilco house and nurturing its garden terraces.
