Awesome Time at the 3BR Villa

The 3BR Villa, the patio, pool, breakfast and housekeeping services all came together for a fantastic time. Lots of fun things to do. The Sunday Show, Ocean World, and the Safari tour are a must do.

Absolutely wonderful!

My friend and I needed a warm "get away" during February to celebrate a few things going on in our lives. We were lucky enough to find Leslie and Bob's website on a VRBO search and never looked further. Our trip and vacation and celebrations exceeded our expectations in so many ways! First, Leslie and Bob were so helpful with arrangements, answering all our pre-trip questions, all the information they shared beforehand to make the travel easier, and their generous sharing of their shareholder "perks" with us as guests! Fabulous! The location was beautiful, the villa was definitely nice and private, the staff were definitely friendly and service-oriented, and the beaches were wonderful. Our favorite restaurants were the Jazz and Simply Gourmet (great food), but all the restaurants offered nice meals. Loved having the golf cart to get around! All in all, a wonderful experience and vacation. Looking forward to going again and will definitely book through Leslie and Bob!

Exactly what we expected!

We were very lucky to come across this trip and have the opportunity to have this experience. Booking with Bob and Leslie was very easy and they were very responsive to any questions that we had. We had an issue with our flight and was not able to make it on the first day. Bob helped us extend our trip by one day at no additional charge! Once we arrived, we were treated like royalty! Anything we wanted, we got! The villa was beautiful and very relaxing. Although we didn't spend a lot of time there because we spent most of our time at the VIP beaches. Once you arrive to the beach, you can grab a spot and not have to move for anything. The staff keep your drink fresh and will bring any food item you want! We really enjoyed relaxing in the canopy beds and reading, there was always a nice breeze. We had the pleasure of meeting Bob and Leslie and they are flat out just good people. We plan to book another trip and for sure will call them again!

AWESOME VACATION WILL BE BACK

My husband and I booked our trip to Puerta Plata with Leslie and Bob and were so happy with the accommodations we will be booking with them again. It was an amazing, relaxing, and affordable vacation. We booked the 3 bedroom villa all to ourselves and loved having our own pool; we jumped it in every morning after having breakfast served to us in our villa. We felt like kings and queens. Leslie and Bob did a very good job at preparing us for our vacation as the resort is very large so know what it has to offer before you arrive. I would have given 5 starts but there was some disappointment in the food. the VIP restaurants were nice, and served excellent food, however the other restaurants including the buffet were I would say average. But it wasn't bad enough to keep us away. We plan on returning with other family members. Our favorite thing was to lay on the beach beds and be served drinks/food all day long. The grounds are kept beautiful and security was EVERYWHERE. Very happy with our trip. We were even given a limo to the airport, a great way to end our trip. Only downer that happened was I fell down the flight of stairs in our villa halfway through our trip (no alcohol involved) and my tail bone HURT the rest of the time (and still hurts)

Wonderful trip- can't wait to go back!

Wow! What a great resort in such a beautiful country! I surprised my husband for his 30th birthday. Two other friends met us at the resort. We rented a three bedroom villa from Bob and Leslie. The villa was beautiful and clean, just like the pictures. The only parts I wasn't prepared for were the lack of air conditioning in the living areas and the shower was quite outdated, with varying water pressures and temperatures. Patricia cooked us a wonderful breakfast every morning. We enjoyed every restaurant. Simply Gourmet, Intimates, Jazz, and Bellini's were all great. We even enjoyed two dinners at the Pearl buffet. We also did an excursion called Zip and Splash. It was half a day of zip-lining and half a day of waterfall jumping. This will go down as one of my most favorite days. I also enjoyed spending time at Serenity Beach. There is always a breeze and plenty of shade so you don't get too hot. And the crepes are to die for. We also loved the pizza at NV beach for lunch. The staff was wonderful and always helpful. Having The gold wristbands made all the difference in the trip. Overall, it was an amazing trip and I will definitely book with Bob and Leslie again next time.

Fantastic Parfadise Vacation

Leslie and Bob, Thank you for helping me and my family have a wonderful vacation. You were most helpful from the beginning phases all the way up to making sure we found everything ok once we got there! We stayed in a beautiful, spacious and comfortable villa. One of the bedroom's air conditioner was not working when we first got there but the staff soon resolved the issue. Our private pool was one of our favorite things! The food choices and beverages were great! The Casa Blanca Restaurant (lunch buffet) had great choices, the ice cream shop (in Harmony Beach) was fun and the other night restaurants had fantastic selections! Our favorite was Simply Gourmet restaurant and least favorite the Mexican restaurant. It was fun being able to have a choice to order steak, lobster, rack of lamb, etc every night! The resort was very well maintained and pristine. We felt like we were experiencing something from a "Sandals" commercial with a the luxurious beaches and pools. It made for a very relaxing experience. The staff was always friendly and willing to please in any way. I speak Spanish but even the ones in my group that did not speak Spanish had no trouble with communicating with staff since most speak some English. I will have to say that being able to enjoy the membership privileges that renting from you gives is a definite bonus! The golf cart, access to extra beaches, pools, restaurants and events came with its rewards! We heard from other guests that did not have these privileges and they were not as satisfied with their vacation. The "Welcome Members Party" on Sunday night is really fun. The staff goes works really hard to make this night a great party. We will go back and already have been letting all our friends know about this great vacation place! Our group was a group of 6, including our 2 college age children and their 2 friends, and they all had a blast and want to back with their friends. Thank you again Leslie and Bob!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING

We visited Puerto Plata, DR in the early weeks of May 2014. We had 3 couples including ourselves, and frankly we had high hopes, but didn’t know what to expect, as it was all an original visit for all of us. To say we were all beyond astounded by the accommodations at the resort does not do it justice. The resort is clean and safe and our 3 bed/bath villa was nothing short of amazing!! The property has plenty to do, a good variety of restaurants and great staff. Our favorite was breakfast in our villa each morning. The little personal touches were also great, from the welcome card from Bob and Leslie, to the animals constructed from towels the maid left us, plus more than I can list in between. Bob and Leslie were absolutely amazing to work with during the planning stages of this trip. I personally talked to Leslie on the phone more than once and corresponded via email with Bob numerous times leading up to our dates. They are both so helpful and willing to provide suggestions. The fact that we got to enjoy their Member Benefits is amazing. We were treated like royalty. When we got home my husband thought he left his sunglasses behind and Bob went out of his way to contact the resort to see if anyone had found them. I actually hesitate writing such a great review, cause we want to keep this gem a secret to ourselves! A couple minor pit falls: Our golf cart’s lights didn’t work and the brakes were questionable. However, we took it to the golf cart site and they had 2 mechanics work on it right away and we had no further issues. Also, you need to ask around if you want food after 5:00 and you didn’t make a reservation, or you will end up at the buffet (which isn’t horrible, but it is basically the same thing each day). We did find one place that serves food after 5:00 on our last day. If we had to criticize anything it would be demeanor of some of the locals outside of the property. They were just rude and acted like you were an inconvenience to them, but you will have that no matter where you go! The good definitely outweighs any minor criticism worth documenting! We want to go back already!

AWFUL! Beware!

We arrived at Lifestyle’s Resort on Sunday, 6/16/19, a little after 1pm. We could not check-in to the Villa as we were told it was not ready and check-in time was at 3pm. However, on Thursday, we found out that the Villa was ready the night before. My family and I had been awake and traveling with two children, aged 2 and 5, since 3:30AM and the management lied to us, to avoid letting us to check-in two hours early! All I wanted to do was put my 2-year-old down for a nap as she had been awake since around 4AM. Prior to traveling we had requested a crib and high chair for the 4-bedroom Villa we were renting. We were told by the Timeshare Owner that he had alerted the resort. We also requested the crib and high chair several times at the front desk. We were told that it was noted in the computer. We get to the Villa and NO crib or high chair. I had to call the front desk twice to again request them, even after speaking directly with the Senior Concierge. It took them an additional 2 -3 hours to bring the crib and high chair. NO RUNNING WATER when we checked into the Villa on 6/16/19 for at least 4 hours, if not longer. We went to dinner without showering that night! NO RUNNING WATER on Monday (6/17/19), NO RUNNING WATER on Tuesday (6/18/19), NO RUNNING WATER on Wednesday (6/19/19). Maintenance even attempted to blame us for not having water! The Timeshare Owner informed us tickets to Ocean World were INCLUDED. The Concierge informed us that tickets are complimentary and therefore not guaranteed and she could only get us tickets for Friday, 6/21/19. Our trip ended on Friday 6/21/19. After much arguing she was able to “over book” Ocean World for Wednesday and got us tickets. There was NOTHING overbooked about Ocean World on that Wednesday. It was not crowded at all. We were told that you cannot make dinner reservation until you check-in. The resort made us dinner reservations for us for Monday at 8:30pm, Tuesday at 7pm and Wednesday at 8:30pm. We were not consulted about this. Dinner at 8:30pm is too late for two small children. The Senior Concierge said she would work on changing our Monday night reservation, but could not guarantee an earlier dinner time. We would have to adjust the Wednesday night reservation ours. After much arguing we changed out dinner times and the restaurants were not crowded at all. The food was AWFUL too. I have more to say but ran out of allowed characters! Basically, don't go to this resort!

Best Value, Lowest Costs (Compare!), and Very Helpful Owners

You'll find lots of listings here on VRBO for the Crown Villas and it pays to do your research. The all-inclusive fee can easily outweigh the cost of the accommodations. I paid $180/nt for the Villa and typical all-inclusive costs for 2 adults and 1 child would have been $250+/nt. Leslie and Bob have locked in rates which are, as they advertise, the LOWEST you'll find. They were half of the typical current fees which saved me about $125 a day. I will always check them out first and you might want to do the same. In addition, they been doing this for some time so know the ins and outs of all the resorts ammenities and rules (there are lots of both). The packet of information they send in advance was incredibly helpful, full of info and tips which added to our experience. They answered questions quickly and thoroughly. There is a reason they have 5 star reviews. Thanks to you both!

Great vacation experience at Lifestyle!!

Great Experience!

This was my first trip to the Dominican Republic and, after staying at Lifestyle Holidays Vacation Resort through Bob and Leslie, I wouldn't ever consider staying anywhere else if I traveled there again. I traveled there in May 2016 and except for two days, the resort was nearly empty. Everything was still in full operation, though, which was impressive. The property, staff, food, entertainment, and beach areas were all outstanding. Everything was first-class and everyone who worked there seemed like they'd do anything to make me comfortable. I paid the daily resort fee, but I felt like it was a steal for what I received. The quality of the dinners was truly exceptional. I also had wireless internet while there. The speed wasn’t great, but I was able to access it everywhere, which was nice. I travel a lot, and comfort is very important to me. The home that I stayed in appeared nearly brand-new...it was gorgeous! The 3 bedroom single family house was clean, light-filled, and comfortable, and I felt right at home. The home was in a neighborhood that contained construction of other new homes, but it didn't bother me at all...even when spending the day in the backyard pool. In fact, I feel that the resort staff would have been willing to relocate me had I complained. I understand that all home assignments are based on availability, but I drove around the resort quite a bit and I feel that I would have been comfortable in most of them. Thanks, Bob and Leslie!

Very Nice

We had a wonderful time and tons of help with the many questions we had leading up to the trip. Bob and Leslie were wonderful and timely with all the questions. Fantastic vacation

We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa with 2 other couples. Our villa was one of the older ones but the backyard had a gate that opened to the path that leads right down to the beach. Wonderful location great service and a very clean villa. Was very easy working with Leslie and Bob. Can't wait to go this coming April.

Excellent service and accommodations

We were a group 6 adults who rented a villa thru Leslie & Bob Mitchell at Lifestyle Holiday Resort in DR. They were quite customer service friendly and offered very competitive prices. They also provided additional information on flights and the resort services. And didn't mind answering lots of questions that we had. The villa was excellent with all of the amenities that were promised, this villa was even better than the one we stayed at in 2013. Should we go again, we will certainly book thru this couple.

My husband and I traveled to Puerto Plata back in 2011. We came across information on a villa through VRBO and were jubilant that we choose to use Leslie and Bob. This was the first time that we traveled to Dominican Republic, but we were pleased that we choose this location to celebrate my husband birthday. Leslie and Bob give us so much information about the location before we arrived there, and they were happy to answer any questions that we had (and boy did we have questions). Do remember when you enter DR there is a $10 charge you have to pay at the airport. When we arrived at the airport, there was a few hiccups but that was taken care of with just a phone call. The driver we encountered at the airport we so polite he made sure that we were happy and comfortable. The driver stopped off at a local spot so that we could get beers and coconut water .. what a way to start out vacations. When we arrived at the LVHC the driver took us the VIP check in .. this is different from the other check in location. During our check in process some of the information that they had was not the same as was confirmed by Leslie and Bob but in the package of the “Helpful Tips and Suggestion for Your Vacation” we were told to make sure that we had a copy of our confirmation letter and e-mail correspondence. When the receptionist said, we could not get the gold bands that was taken care of with just a call to Leslie and Bob. During out check in process we made reservations for all the restaurants we wanted to eat at. ( We eat at a different restaurant every night). Once we were checked in we got our golf cart and out bags were taken to the villa.(we had a 3 bedroom 3 1/2 bath all to ourselves).. Boy oh boy were we in for a treat. The villa was beautiful, we had breakfast cooked for us every morning poolside. The chamber maid was so helpful, and so was everyone we encountered at the villa. The Sunday night VIP beach party was the bomb. Hubby and I had so much fun, and there were so many choices of food from around the world. One of the nights, there was a BBQ cooked for hubby and I at our villa poolside and we were waited on hand and foot, compliments of Leslie and Bob, together with a bottle of wine. Did I mention that we had alcohol of our choice delivered to our villa every day. One of the days a sale rep came by our villa and asked if we wanted a tour, we did and told them after we were not interested.. They were still polite.

Wow!!

Truly a vacation of a lifetime! My husband and I took our two boys who are 12 and 14 and had the time of our lives!! I would recommend this vacation to anyone - couples - girls vacations - boys vacation - families with kids our kids age or older. I do not think there is a lot for younger ones to do. The breakfast in our villa was incredible and a great way to start the day along with a dip in your own private pool!! I will only do this type of all inclusive from now on. Cost just as much and you get so much more than just staying in a hotel. We did several excursions too and got to see Puerto Plata up close. Very cool! Would recommend a snorkeling excursion and swimming with the dolphins as Ocean is pricey but the one on one you get the dolphins is priceless!! Thank you Leslie and Bob!!!!!!!!!

Amazing Vacation

We booked our villa rental directly with Bob and Leslie Mitchell. They were pleasant to deal with and very prompt in responding to ALL our queries. We were a bit skeptical but once we got to the resort everything went smoothly. Simply Paradise

I booked a getaway for myself and three friends through Leslie and Bob. Everything was easily done with quick responses from Leslie and Bob to any inquiries we had. It was truly a pleasure dealing with them. We were unfortunate to lose two days of our vacation because of the snowstorm which struck the eastern U.S. cancelling our connecting flight and I was worried we would end up with whatever villa was leftover, however, we were given Simply Paradise villa which is actually off-resort and up the mountain. Although the road to the villa wasn't much more than a path, the bumpy ride provided "The Real Housewives of Simply Paradise" lots of chuckles and laughs and was well worth the ride as the villa was beautiful and had absolutely the best views of the ocean. Josie who made our daily breakfast and cleaned the villa was an absolute sweetheart. Willy and Sandy who looked after the house and pool were always smiling and willing to give a helping hand. We felt very secure with our nightguard (I think his name was Juan) and who was always there to open the gate for us upon our return from our nightly outings. Our concierge, Luis, was most helpful and whenever he saw us throughout the resort came to speak to us to ensure we were enjoying ourselves. The golfcart we were provided wasn't as powerful as it should have been to climb the hills and because the path to the villa was a bit of a challenge, we used the shuttle service each evening and during the rainy days to travel about the resort. We never had to wait more than 10 minutes for any shuttle. Because of our short stay we had to be selective in our restaurant choices but we had no problems getting the reservations we wanted thanks to Luis. Our favourites were Jazz and Simply Gourmet. The beaches are beautiful - even in the rain. They are not the white, sandy beaches of Punta Cana but the service and sunbeds are wonderful. The one big complaint we all had was the wine served which is the same wine throughout the resort and is not very good at all. I expected that the VIP restaurants would have had a selection of wine or, at the very least, a better quality than that served elsewhere on the resort but no it was the same Rebello served throughout. Thank God for the sparkling wine. I would definitely book through Leslie and Bob again. Their service and the gold bracelet you get in booking through them truly made it a great holiday even if the weather did not cooperate!

Excellent service!

My husband and I honeymooned at the resort back in 2011. While there, we met Leslie & Bob, who are shareholders at the resort. They encouraged us to book through them whenever we wanted to go back to the DR. Booking through them has quite a few advantages and you really do receive the five star treatment! They are like rockstars at the resort, haha! :) Leslie and Bob are fantastic hosts - we received a sweet note from them on arrival and they checked in with us to make sure that our vacation was going smoothly. The villas are lovely... we have seen a few different kinds while vacationing at LHVC. The few times that there have been problems with the villa, a call brings someone out from maintenance immediately to check into it - whether it was a clogged toilet or even to replace light bulbs. Everyone there is incredibly friendly and helpful. The maid service with breakfast is fabulous, and our personal concierge was incredibly useful to help us figure out what we were going to do each day. Each time we return there are new restaurants and new things to check out. They are always expanding and improving on their menus and offerings. We've gone by ourselves and with other couples, and are looking forward to our next trip! During one of our trips, we even brought back a little parasite who was born in September 2014. :) Thanks so much Leslie & Bob! :):)

A fun and relaxing trip with friends

Leslie, I appreciate your and Bob's integrity and professionalism. Everything that was detailed in our contract was carried through with excellence. Other guests had problems from being charged too much to not being able to get a golf cart to not having opportunity to make reservations at certain restaurants. You guys are absolutely a blessing of a travel agent. You are extremely highly recommended by me. The resort was wonderful, the people beautiful (inside and out) and the food was outstanding. I really appreciate you.

Our names are Leslie and Bob. We first traveled to LHVC for a family wedding in June 2006. We were so impressed with the resort, its amenities and staff that we purchased a membership the second day of our trip. When we made plans to be married in 2007, we knew there would be no better place for such a special occasion than Lifestyle Holidays. We had 16 guests accompany us and had the most beautiful wedding trip anyone could ever hope for. In fact, while we were there we upgraded our membership and have since upgraded again to Real Estate Owners which now enables us to share unlimited weeks with unbeatable service at this elegant resort with our friends, family, and others.

We have traveled to many places all over the world but rarely make repeat visits to any particular place. This island and resort stole our hearts because of the warm weather and gracious friendly people. The staff know us by name and remember the things we like. Everyone there is truly dedicated to you having a wonderful vacation and want you to be part of their resort family. Lifestyle Holidays is truly our home-away-from-home!
