Great place in a great location
My wife and I stayed here for three nights and found it clean, cozy, and a great location. She doesn’t ski and I do so this place is perfect. It is about 100 yards or so from the gondola (skiers were trying to illegally park right outside to avoid the lot fees if that gives you an idea) and about 50 yards from Main Street. I could hit the slopes and she could check out downtown Breck. We could meet-up for lunch if we wanted and regroup at around 4 to get ready for the evening. Pretty simple.
We rented a car but didn’t use it. It was nice going out for dinner in the evening and having a few drinks without the issue of having to drive back home on the slick and windy Breckenridge streets.
Only drawbacks I could see is it didn’t have Wi-Fi (I had a hotspot so it didn’t really matter), a fireplace , or a hot-tub (not that I looked for one– I really don’t like sitting in those public seas pools anyways). If you want those things you can find a place in a similar location but expect to pay around 2-3 times as much. Price, Location, or Amenities – pick 2. If you want all 3 you better be rich. Even without a fireplace, however, we found the place extremely warm and cozy.
It had cable, an equipped kitchen, a really comfy couch and I saw an air-mattress in the closet. If you were a group of guys or something-3 could fit in here pretty comfy, 4 is doable-the couch could fit 2 people crashing on it.
I’ve been to Breck many times and I would definitely come back to this condo again. I’ve paid more for worse and the price-location combo at this place can’t be beat. That and it really is a nice and cozy place.
The owner is also really easy to deal with. It wasn’t a big life signing in triplicate ordeal like I’ve had in the past with other outfits. Really simple, the email equivalent to a “handshake and a smile” and the deal was done. Took me back at first but it is refreshing dealing with good people.
