Step out onto the spacious backyard and take in the picturesque vistas of the water. Relish in the beauty of the greater Potomac and Chesapeake Bay while enjoying a barbecue or lounging in the hammock, swinging or relaxing by the fire pit. The private dock is perfect for sunbathing, fishing, paddleboarding, kayaking or jumping in for a refreshing swim. If you have a boat, you can bring it and tie it up here and enjoy the best part about this house- the water. It is tidal, the minimum depth at low tide is about 2 1/2 ft.

Games await you outside also with corn hole, giant Jenga and croquet among others.

You can’t leave your fur baby behind, so feel free to bring your dog, but please clean up after them.

★PROXIMITY TO ATTRACTIONS★
Beyond the property, Montross offers a variety of recreational activities such as hiking trails, golf courses, wineries, and charming local shops. Discover the history of the area by visiting George Washington's Birthplace, Stratford Hall, or Historic Christ Church or take the kids to Westmoreland State Park or Shark Tooth Island to find fossils, the roller skating rink or the Tom Rhodes Tree Carving Trail. There is truly something for everyone here.

-The house is located in a natural & wooded area, so you may see & hear bugs, bald eagles and ospreys and other birds, furry critters of all sizes (including but not limited to deer, squirrels, and rodents), & reptiles. Our property has regularly scheduled pest control, however, we cannot guarantee that any such critters will not be visible in & around the property. Please try to keep the doors closed. Do not feed any wildlife as they are wild animals. No refunds will be provided if a local critter visits the property.

-The house is on a well and septic system. Do not flush anything other than toilet paper or rinse anything but water down the drain or the system may back up and there will be a fee passed through to the guest.

Another awesome stay at Easthaven!

A group of friends and I had a great few days at this relaxing get away. We ate out sometimes and ate in other times. It’s so nice to come to a place that is already set up for you! We didn’t need to worry about sheets and towels or cooking ingredients/appliances. We could just settle in and enjoy the river! There was enough room for every one to be together, or not! It was really fun to tackle the treasure hunt game! We solved the puzzle the second time around! This visit we made a quick trip to the Enchanted Forest. We even met Tom, the tree carver. He was so friendly and informative! We also ate at N and N Burgers and Angelo’s. Both places are highly recommended! We are all looking forward to hopefully being able to return next year!

Valentines During a Rainstorm

We decided to take a spontaneous trip (literally booking at 9:00 PM the night before), and most rentals were already closed for the next day, including Easthaven. I reached out to hosts Abbie and Aaron to inquire about the possibility of renting the property on short notice, and they were incredibly accommodating and a pleasure to work with.Upon arriving at Easthaven for our weekend getaway, the weather was less than ideal—rain poured the entire time, which we knew could be a possibility. However, the house was stocked with a variety of board games and offered expansive water views, providing us with hours of entertainment.The layout of the house is perfect, offering ample space for a large group while also feeling cozy enough for just the two of us. I highly recommend Easthaven for both families and adults looking for a stunning view and plenty of activities that will keep guests of all ages engaged—perfect for getting the kids away from their electronics!

Holiday getaway

We came for R & R and we got it! Abbie was a great and responsive hostess and the house was perfect. Even though the weather was cold the views were still great, the layout was perfect and the furniture, especially the beds, was so comfortable. Getting groceries from the Food Lion was easy too. We're not big on water sports so unlikely we would come back in the summer, but maybe another visit in the spring or fall. Highly recommend!

Pleasantly surprised!

This was a wonderful property! We all enjoyed our stay. The pictures are accurate and the home is very clean, considering pets are allowed. Abbie was very communicative and so easy to deal with. A Fun Girls Getaway Weekend!

I recently stayed at this wonderful waterfront rental for a girl's trip weekend. From the moment we walked in, we were blown away by the unique décor—everything was board game-themed! The creative concept added such a fun and playful vibe to the entire house, and it made our stay even more memorable. The hosts have obviously thought about the finer details to help guests settle in. The kitchen was well-stocked, with QR codes thoughtfully placed to help use appliances. The beds and pillows were comfortable, and the towels were plentiful (and huge!). The house is well situated on the water, and we spent mornings and evenings enjoying the scenery. There were plenty of water toys and activities to keep everyone entertained, including kayaks and a pedal boat. The location is also great, with fun activities nearby like wineries and scenic hikes. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a fun and relaxing getaway!

Stay here! You won’t regret it.

This is one of those rare Vrbos where you feel like family and not a stranger. The home is beautifully thought out with each room’s theme reflected in the design from top to bottom. Everything you need is available and right where you’d expect to find it. Finishes and furnishings are well done and very well cared for. These hosts don’t cut corners. Our family had so much fun that we never even did the off-property activities we planned! Kid friendly, pet friendly, and grown up friendly. We would wake and have breakfast overlooking the water, then spend the day playing on the dock. Evenings were games, movies, and popcorn. Truly memorable family time. The hosts are very responsive and helpful. Check-in was seamless. Seriously - stop looking. Just stay here!

They thought of everything!

The hosts attention to detail was perfect across the entire experience. Communication was simple and clear, the house was appointed beautifully, and they really just added all the little details that made the experience feel like we were honored guests. The theme is so fun and executed with great care and since we had a few rainy days it was great to play board games and we really enjoyed the scavenger hunt! We loved that the kitchen was well stocked with appliances for cooking nearly anything you can imagine, the outdoor amenities were well taken care of and there were loads of options! Because I'm kind of a house nerd I loved the guest book with before and after renovation photos! They did a great job creating a cool mid century vibe while guests get to enjoy all the comforts of the 2020's. And don't even get me started on the views! We're excited to have found a perfect getaway for when we're in the area visiting family. Amazing location and an overall outstanding experience.

Worth all the Stars!

This spacious board game themed vacation rental in the Northern Neck with water access and views is worth a visit. We recently returned from an amazing weekend visit to ????????? in Montross, VA. This beautifully renovated, single level waterfront vacation rental has everything to make your stay on the Northern Neck relaxing & fun! They have a beautiful brand-new master suite with access to an outdoor seating area. Plus, ????????? is in close proximity to so many local attractions. This was a bonus for us as we love to explore!Our two children had so much fun choosing which of the 4 game-themed rooms they would stay in. Monopoly and Twister were their choices. We had so much fun selecting games to play inside and out. The kids enjoyed their time on the water (kayak, SUP), and we also tried crabbing from the private dock. Even though we had a couple of cloudy days, the water views were spectacular. Bonus: We saw an eagle!We loved the quiet, rural neighborhood. This peacefulness was definitely appreciated for our weekend away. Abbie was very responsive and eager to make sure our stay was comfortable. We loved the thoughtful welcome basket, and the QR codes for the various appliances came in handy. The table popcorn maker was a big hit. The house was very clean and well-stocked for all of our needs.This Northern Neck getaway is definitely worth all the stars. 100% recommend.

Easter Break

We arrived to find a sparkly clean house in a quiet, rural neighborhood. All rooms are tastefully decorated especially the brand new master suite and beds were comfy. The view is spectacular and we were treated to a magnificent sunrise our first morning. The hosts responded to my questions immediately and were courteous and helpful I highly recommend Easthaven, you will not be disappointed. RBP

Amazing retreat for much needed R & R !

Wow! What an awesome place to visit, even in the winter! No snow, but beautiful sunny days! The sunroom was my favorite place to just sit and look out on the river. The bedrooms were comfortable and the bathrooms were very nice. The game theme was a nice introduction right as you entered the house! It was unique to have Jenga pieces to write your names and date that you stayed at Easthaven. Having the place well stocked with cooking items and spices was very helpful. All the amenities (inside and out) will be great as the weather gets warmer. I really enjoyed watching the development of the new Master On-Suite! The contractors were pleasant and considerate of us being there, and didn't start the heavy banging until after 9:00 am! They gave us suggestions for places to eat and things to do, but we really just enjoyed looking at the river! So, if you are looking for a wonderful, relaxing place to unwind or spend a great vacation with family and friends, I highly recommend this house on the river!

The Perfect Weekend Getaway!

My husband, two daughters, and I recently spent a weekend at Easthaven, and we had the best time! From the clever game room theme to the awesome amenities to the spectacular views, this was the perfect Northern Neck getaway. We also loved that the property felt quiet and peaceful in spite of being an easy drive to dining, shopping, and fun local destinations. We would 100% stay here again, and we're recommending Easthaven to all of our friends. Go ahead and book this place - you won't regret it!

Easthaven has it all!!

Easthaven offers A+ communication from Abbie and a beautiful place to stay. The themed bedrooms are adorable, the kitchen is stocked with everything you need, and the view is stunning. It’s also so quiet and relaxing - just what we needed. We could only stay for a short visit but we will be back in warmer weather for the water activities and to explore the area more. What a gem of a place!

Family fun in an idyllic setting

Fantastic trip! Wonderful, perfectly appointed home (no detail spared), with a spectacular view, even in winter, and even prettier with a little snow sprinkled in! The game theme was a hit with the kids and Abbie (host) and her family left no detail out! Wonderful views, spectacularly decorated, clean, bright and hospitable. Highly recommend. We plan to return later in the warmer weather and again next winter!

Perfect Stay

I usually get a rental away from the city to spend Thanksgiving with friends. We wanted rural, private, quiet, water and scenery within a few hours of DC. This house was all of those, perched above the bay of a creek which flows into the Potomac, with outdoor space overlooking the water, and inside space large enough for people to “have their space” and small enough to feel a family/friends closeness. Very clean, efficiently laid out, well equipped, and recently remodeled, everyone thought it was perfect for the prep for, day of, and recuperation from Thanksgiving. The hosts paid obvious attention to providing those things that make staying away from home comfortable and easy, much appreciated especially in light of the distance to and limited number of stores (about ten miles). No one had any complaints, only compliments, and I extended a day, having lost track of time and to enjoy the rental and area longer.
