The location was clean and conveniently situated, making everything easily accessible. Communication with the host was excellent throughout our stay. We truly enjoyed our visit and look forward to coming back again!
Nice property - huge kitchen. It worked well for us (Two people). Host was great. You do have to drive to get anywhere. We were there during a cold spell so no lake activity for us. It would have more to do in warmer weather. Nice little beach and paddle boats, canoes available. Nice stay
We had a family reunion nearby and this vrbo was a nice place to come back to. It is very spacious. We loved the proximity to the lake, the goats nearby and even the rooster!
We stayed for a long weekend and had a wonderful time. Tessie and her family were very friendly and accomodating. We will definitely be returning. If offered, try the egg rolls!!! So good
After looking for the place, and settling in. The garage is not usable, they come in an out of it in the morning. Doesn't bother us, all in all a great stay.
The owner was so kind and friendly. She had goats and deer she allowed me to pet and feed. The house is huge and stocked with lots of essentials. I will definitely go back. There's also lots of water items like kayaks and skim boards to use. The kids had a blast
It's beautiful and peaceful on the lake and docks .

Weekend visit
This is a garage turned into home but is nice inside. It has a large garage attached to the home and the exhaust fumes from what ever they have cranked up out there is overwhelming! It gave me terrible headaches. The fumes never lessened while we were there! We also seen several roaches in the kitchen. There is no tv in the living room. The bedroom to the left of the living room the mattress on the bed was awful made you roll to the center of the bed!
We needed to get a place to stay due to a funeral in the area, but we also wanted to bring our dog, too. Tessie is a very dog-friendly person (she and her husband have several of their own), so that was a plus from the beginning. It was very hot in SC during our stay, but the AC worked extremely well. The kitchen is fully equipped and also has a gas range, which I love to cook on. Flurry (our dog) loved the spaciousness of the house, and so did we. There's a full-size bed in each of the four bedrooms. If there's a downside to the property (which is incredibly close to Lake Murray, and in fact, is just a few steps away from one of the lake's many coves), it's the fact that it is not equipped with a king-size bed (which we are accustomed to sleeping on). In the owner's defense, the bedrooms would be too cramped with a king bed. Finally, one personal preference: I like a TV at eye level when sitting. All of the TV sets were wall-mounted, and we craned our necks to see the few shows we watched. All in all, Tessie manages the house conscientiously and with care. Though we met her during our stay, she is not intrusive at all. In fact, she's friendly and approachable. Great stay, despite the sad reason for it.
And a PS: You'll love watching the goats sitting on the roof of a shed from one of the bedroom windows or from the large, fully-screened porch, which we would have enjoyed were it not for the heat! :)
