About this property

Escape from it all at Brookhaven Resort on the beautiful sapphire-blue Big Glen Lake! One of five cottages with shared access to 150' of water frontage, tennis court, basketball court, and row boats. Gather around the shared fire pit for s'mores and sunsets overlooking Alligator Hill in the Sleeping Bear Dunes area. There are 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. The cabin is 1 level, faces West, at the end of a quiet street, and sleeps 6. It Can be reserved for weeks only during the summer season.

1 Queen, 1 Full and 2 twins. Full kitchen (no dishwasher), charcoal grill, and picnic table. WIFI. No TV, no phone, no worries at this peaceful location only minutes to the village of Glen Arbor. There is a window A/C unit in the living area.

Quick drives to the Sleeping Bear Dunes, shopping, dining, kayaking, hiking, and more. Big Glen Lake is great for kids. Crystal clean water and no severe drop-offs. Boating, fishing, and swimming--enjoy them all!

Summer escape with friends

Excellent location....met the owners and they were great and very caring about making our visit memorable. Beds and spaces were comfortable. Close to shopping in Glen Arbor. Only thing that was frustrating was the fruit flies. I guess it is that time of year for these to appear.

The weather was bad!! Can't fix that! It was a decent place. No AC and No TV! But they did have the internet!! The beach and toys and the fire pit are shared by all 4 cabins. Didn't spend much time in the cabin as it rained a lot!!

Family time on Big Glen Lake

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family of four rented a 3 bedroom cabin on Big Glen Lake and it was perfect for us. Great location only 5 min from Glen Arbor, 10 min to the Dune Climb, and 30 min to Traverse City. We took advantage of all of the nearby destinations and squeezed in two kayak excursions on Big Glen Lake. Cabin property had kayaks and paddle boards and the the shallow water at the property made entry and easy for the whole family. The cabin was all we needed; clean, full kitchen, shower with plenty of hot water, and a living room and porch to spread out and relax. We plan to return with friends or other family members in multiple cabins!!

This time we chose to stay in a small cabin with another couple. We were company of four and the cabin had enough space for all of us. It was clean and tidy. Love creative display of bath towels :) We had beautiful unobstructed view of the Big Glen Lake and enjoyed peace and quiet of the property since it’s away from the main road. We would definitely love to come back to the cabin but during warmer months. Even though the cabin is supplied with a wall heater and portable heater, couple of us were not as warm as we would have liked. But then again we like heat and not everyone likes to be toasty. Thank you so much for making us feel welcomed!

Nice little get-away

We had a great time at Brookhaven. The property owners were very nice and accommodating. The cottages were quaint and comfortable. We loved the surrounding communities of Glen Arbor, Maple City, and Empire. Add in Sleeping Bear Dunes and all the boxes are checked. Nightly bon fires, s’mores, and star watching were extra-added bonuses. My only complaint is the tiny bathroom with no bathtub. It wouldn’t keep us from coming back, but worth mentioning. All-in-all I’d call it a win…

Fall weekend get away!

Everything was great except we arrived late in the evening and the heat was not turned on. Cabin did not heat up until into the following day. Only one extra blanket in the cabin. . So glad we had a couple in a car. But it was so so cold that first night.
