In delightful position at only 7 miles/12 km from Florence center rental in country house with independent entrance, bathroom wonderful design with spacious shower, new kitchen with dishwasher, 4 gas burners, electric oven - terracotta vaults. 15 easy steps lead to the bedroom with a comfortable double bed. Tuscan furniture. Ideal for 2 people.

Tranquillity and beauty of the scenery guaranteed.
External space and garden surround the property. Sunbeds, chairs and tables available.

In 10 minutes on foot - 1.2 miles/800 meters by car is the village of Villamagna which features a romanesque Church, a lovely bistro for a cappuccino/coffee and many other delicious Tuscan foods, the 'Circolo' open in the evening on Saturdays and Sundays for pizza and first dishes (excellent prices), and a restaurant with Tuscan cuisine.
In another 10 minutes on foot - 1.2 miles/800 meters by car - is the village of 'Case di San Romolo' with one shop open in the morning until from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm where where it is possible to buy groceries included fresh bread.
In another 10 minutes drive one reaches the larger town 'Bagno a Ripoli' that offers a super market called COOP featuring fresh bread, meat, you need!

All around are hiking trails that take to lovely hills with olive trees, tiny churches and villages.

Just outside the property is a bus stop: busses do not run frequently but having time and patience bus # 48 takes to Bagno a Ripoli and from here bus # 23 takes to Florence center.

Beautiful stay!

My husband and I stayed here for part of our honeymoon and had the most amazing time! Location is beautiful, with stunning views of the Tuscan hills and Florence below. Drive to Florence is about 25 minutes. The property itself was very charming, with plenty of outdoor seating to take in the scenery. Can’t recommend enough!

Beautiful stay in the Tuscan hills

We loved the peace and quiet of this stay and the quaint farmhouse apartment. The small village a mile away was awesome with great steak and deli/bar. We wish we were still at this home watching the sunset over Florence. Violetta was so nice and accommodating. I would definitely go back!!!

Violetta was a wonderful host. She provided some wonderful insight for us on our first visit to Tuscany. She even offered us soup when we arrived late on the first day. We will stay again if Tuscany is in our plans.

Raus aus Florenz

Wenn man dem Trubel in Florenz abends entfliehen will, findet man hier ein ruhiges, vollausgestattetes Quartier in fantastischer, ruhiger Lage, umgeben von viel Grün und mit toller Aussicht. Einzig das Schafzimmer ist ein wenig ungemütlich. Sonst ist alles perfekt und Violetta eine tolle Gastgeberin mit guten Tipps!

Peaceful Retreat!

A delightful blend of the old and the new! Just outside our door was a lovely garden filled with roses and flowers and stunning views of Florence in the distance. Surrounding the garden on a terrace below was a beautiful olive grove. It served as our peaceful retreat after exploring Florence, Pisa, or enjoying a day of wine tasting in the Tuscan countryside. Our host was incredibly kind and accommodating. We loved every moment of our stay!

Amazing place in the quiet hills of Firenze!

We spent 3 nights here recently at the end of October and were spoiled with the views, the perfect weather, and an amazing host. We loved staying here! We even bought some delicious homemade olive oil from the host. The drive to and from the property is indeed interesting with the narrow roads, so be sure to rent a small car and drive slow. But once you get there, you'll love everything about it. It's charming, a bit rustic but with modern updates, amazing views, and an awesome host. Thanks for the stay! (Grant and Kate)

Es ist wie es ist

Ich war jetzt zum zweiten Mal in Folge in der Villa Violetta und es wird sicher nicht das letzte Mal gewesen sein. Es bleibt ein herrlicher, zentral gelegener Ausgangspunkt, um einerseits die Toskana zu erkunden und andererseits bleibt man auch gern dort um sich von den Entdeckungsreisen ins Umland auszuruhen. Ein Ort, um die Seele baumeln zu lassen. Auf Violetta ist in allen Belangen Verlass, eine zugewandte und liebevolle Gastgeberin.

Im Hinterland von Florenz

Das Haus ist ein guter Ausganspunkt, um Florenz zu besuchen und gleichzeitig ländliche Entspannung zu genießen. Der wunderbare Ausblick über die Stadt ist natürlich das Highlight, dazu kommen die charmante Gastgeberin, das nette Cafe im Dorf, die gemütliche Küche... Wunderschönes Landgut mit Blick auf Florenz

Es waren wundervolle und entspannte Tage bei Violetta. Die Aussicht, welche wir vom Garten & der Terrasse aus auf die Olivenhaine & Florenz hatten, war so atemberaubend schön, dass man es kaum in Worte fassen kann. Das Haus war perfekt eingerichtet & liebevoll dekoriert. Violetta besitzt eine so liebenswerte Art, dass man sich sehr willkommen & wohl fühlt. Besonders Ihre Tipps für Ausflüge in die Umgebung und nach Florenz waren sehr hilfreich. Und die frischen Feigen & Tomaten aus ihrem Garten ... sehr köstlich. Wir hatten abends ab und zu gekocht, da die Küche wirklich alles besitzt, was man zum Kochen braucht. Aber ebenso konnten wir eine sehr gute Trattoria fußläufig mit einem kleinen Spaziergang erreichen. Wir werden sehr gern wiederkommen :))

Traumhaft schön

Die Villa ist in einem absolut beanstandungsfreien Zustand. Deren Lage eignet sich perfekt dazu, Florenz und die Toskana näher zu erkunden. Allerdings wird man damit dem Charme der Villa nicht gerecht, die einfach auch dazu einlädt, hier die 'Seele baumeln zu lassen'.

Wundervolle Tage

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Urlaub in Villamagna. Die Wohnung liegt ruhig mit einem wunderschönen Blick auf Florenz. Violetta hat uns gute Tipps für unsere Ausflüge nach Florenz und in die Umgebung gegeben - besonders auch, was die Parksituation in Florenz angeht. Traumhafte Toskana

Die grandiose Aussicht auf Florenz kann man direkt von der Wohnung und dem Sitzplatz davor aus genießen. Da das Haus ca. 300m über Florenz liegt, weht meist ein kühlendes Lüftchen, was den Aufenthalt auch in der Sommerhitze erträglich macht. Die Wohnung ist ein idealer Ausgangspunkt zur Erkundung von Florenz, denn man erreicht mit dem Auto in weniger als 30 Min. die Stadt. Die Fahrt ist zwar z.T. kurvig über engere Strassen, aber das war für uns kein Problem. Die Ausstattung von Wohnung und Küche ist in Ordnung, man kann auch im Sommer gut schlafen, denn die Betten sind gut, das untere Schlafzimmer ist kühl und das obere hat eine Klimaanlage. Ein großes Plus: Die Vermieterin spricht fließend Deutsch, Englisch, Französisch, sie ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, stets bemüht, unseren Aufenthalt angenehm zu gestalten, gab uns tolle Tipps z.B. für Besichtigungen, Restaurants, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, bot uns Mirabellen und Zucchini aus ihrem Garten an, sogar eigenes Olivenöl. Kurz und gut: Wir haben dort mehr als 2 traumhafte Wochen verbracht und würden jederzeit wieder hinfahren. Einschränkungen wegen der Pandemie waren außer der Maskenpflicht nicht spürbar, im Gegenteil: Florenz, auch die anderen Toskanastädte und Museen waren ungewohnt leer.

What a view

We loved staying in Violetta’s house, she was so friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. The house is very well equipped and comfortable. We loved Florence and could see the Duomo from the house. Lovely sunsets and loads of stars at night made this a very enjoyable few days. Would love to return one day. Thanks Violetta.

Peaceful stay

We loved it here, a lovely rural setting with fabulous views over Florence. Surrounded by nature but a short drive only to the city. Lovely accommodation, thoughtfully designed with everything we needed. Nice outdoor seating areas to watch the sun go down, or have meals and drinks. Violetta was fabulous, helpful, friendly, with lots of great ideas about where to go. Always available but unobtrusive. A fabulous stay, one we hope to repeat one day.

court séjour en Toscane

Nous nous sommes décidés très rapidement pour ce séjour en toscane et nous avons réservé cette location coup de coeur pour sa vue sur Florence. Réservation et confirmation en ligne très rapide. Violetta nous a très bien accueilli . Toutes les explications étaient données et meme plus : présentation de l'habitation, le fonctionnement de la location, les alentours (ballades...animation, petits commerces). Location qui N'A PAS D'ECRAN.... LE BONHEUR ! MERCI ...une vue a couper le souffle sur les collines / village toscans, les oliviers et Florence. Au mois de Février, nous n'avons pas eu froid , très bonne qualité de chauffage. Nous avons meme pu profité de l'extérieur en déjeunant dehors ! Les enfants ont de la place pour jouer en sécurité. Endroit à retenir. Merci de conserver des endroits pareils

Sehr schöne Ferienwohnung mit tollem Ausblick

Der Eindruck den andere Gäste bereits per Online-Bewertung geschildert haben hat sich voll bestätigt. Die sehr nette Vermieterin hat es bei der Ankunft mit einem toskanischen Kuchen überrascht und war stets besorgt um das Wohl ihrer Gäste. Das Anwesen liegt außerhalb einer kleinen Siedlung in den Bergen oberhalb von Florenz. Die Anfahrt über eine schmale Teerstraße ist gelegentlich abeneuerlich (wenn zB. mal ein Müllauto oder der Schulbus entgegenkommt :-)), aber landschaftlich reizvoll. Das Anwesen ist sehr gepflegt. In der Küche ist alles drin was man für einen entspannten Urlaub benötigt. Die Ferienwohnung ist für 4 Personen vollkommen ausreichend. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt.

Traumurlaub Florenz

herrlich gelegene Ferienwohnung mit traumhaftem Blick auf Florenz und die Berge, Ein ruhiger Ort, um den Tag, mit dieser Aussicht, zu beginnen oder mit einem Glas Wein enden zulassen. Es gab herzliche und auch informative Begegnungen mit der Hausherrin. Wir haben uns dort sehr,sehr wohl gefühlt.

Love Villa Violetta

The villa is very clean with modern bathroom fixtures and kitchen appliances. The beds are very comfortable and wifi is free. The view is spectacular with beautiful Tuscan sunsets and the garden is lovely and serene. Our hostess Violet is very helpful and nice. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone who wants to stay near Florence, Italy.

I live 12 km away from Florence, on top of a hill surrounded by olive trees with a stunning view of the dome of Florence.
I grow my vegetable garden and enjoy making jams.
I like hiking and attending exhibits and cinemas.

I rent part of the house where I live - There are separate entrances.

Why they chose this property

My parents bought it in 1986. I came to live here in 2012 because I fell in love with the view ... which is breathtaking.
I have always loved nature ... now I grow my vegetable garden, prepare my jams and harvest olives to produce my own extra virgin olive oil!

What makes this property unique

It's unique for the view of countryside and of Florence. One lives out in the country yet at only 20 minutes' drive to the city.
There is also public transportation available. The bus stop is just out of the property. Recommended only for people with patience:-)
