We had a wonderful time staying at Margaret's property. The house is nestled in the woods and is so serene. Perfect for an avid bird watcher, we saw a two bald eagles at one point. The house was clean, cozy and spacious, with everything provided. Bar Harbor was a quick 7 min drive away, so convenient!
This is a well kept home that accommodated my adult family very well. It was a perfect location to get to Acadia National Park and our host was very helpful with suggestions for dining and activities. We enjoyed the morning breezes on the screened in porch, and relaxed in the sauna to make a perfect start a d end to our days.
The property was clean, comfortable, and pleasant. It was easy to find what we needed to cook meals. It was easy to get to Bar Harbor and other harbors. We especially loved the screened in porch. The beds were very comfortable and the provided linens were excellent.

Clean, Spacious, Quiet, Great Location
Had a wonderful week. Acadia NP is just a few minutes away, Town (Bar Harbor) is 10 minutes. Property is maintained well and very clean. Furnishing is “vacation home random” but in good shape. There’s WiFi, but Internet access is intermittent. Be prepared to bring your own paper & soap products. Note that bedrooms are on multiple floors and the main living area is on the 2nd floor— lots of steps which might be an issue for older people or families with kids who don’t want to be too far from parents.
Lovely stay for our family of 5. Plenty of space to relax and hangout. Clean and orderly home which was much appreciated. We cooked some meals and the kitchen was well equipped. We needed a cookie sheet which we didn’t find, but otherwise found what we needed. Location convenient to Bar Harbor and ANP, about a 10 minute drive. We enjoyed our stay and recommend it for a large group.
Only issue was that we didn’t receive any check-in instructions for this property so we had to email the host to get the code and some info. Not the fault of the property owner since VRBO should do this automatically and they did not. Otherwise great place, spacious, clean and secluded.
We loved staying at this house! It's off the road, near forest/farm in a quiet location. Still, it's located within a 10 minute drive to Bar Harbor or Acadia NP. The house sleeps 8 comfortably, on three levels. The kitchen has all the necessary appliances/components - just bring your food (and ground coffee). The deck and screened porch were relaxing locations for family time. Margaret recommended Hadley Beach for sunset and campfire, and supplied the wood and beach chairs as well. There is plenty of storage space in the garage, and we used it for our golf clubs. We highly recommend staying here, and would stay again next time!
We have been visiting Bar Harbor for 8 years now, and this home is by far the best we have ever stayed in. The property is absolutely gorgeous, with a pond full of frogs that my kids loves to watch, next to a horse farm, and even a trail leading into the park to a hidden gem of a lake that the kids loved swimming in. (Lake Wood)
The house itself was super clean, the beds were so. so comfortable and large, and the kitchen was fully equipped. Our four kids loved the open space to explore and I loved spending quiet mornings in the screened in porch before everyone woke up. It was just perfection.
Property is gorgeous and in a very private location. Paths through the back of the property take you directly into Acadia and a beautiful pond. AC in some rooms and more than enough space to spread out. Would stay here permanently if it were an option
Property was perfect for our family. Had everything we needed and the location was convenient to restaurants, Acadia and shopping. Would recommend this place to others. Only slight issue was only one tv.
Nice house located right outside of Bar Harbor and entrance to Acadia. Margaret was very helpful and easy to work with. The only issue we had was the bathroom upstairs was inside one of the bedrooms so it was kind of tough to share since we were 4 adults sleeping upstairs. Other than that it was a nice house with plenty of room for our group of 6 adults.
We loved our stay in Bar Harbor. Margaret was very easy to deal with. The house was clean and beautiful. There was plenty of towels for all of us. We grilled and cooked some days and had plenty of equipment to do so. We loved being away from the crowd but close enough with a short drive. We loved it!
We had a wonderful vacation in this house! Lots of room for entire family, very comfortable & clean, and close to Bar Harbor!! A great place to just relax if you didn't want to go exploring. The property is quiet and tucked away from everything.
Great house nestled in a hill with rolling hill view to a neighboring bourse farm. Convenient to Downtown Bar Harbor and Acadia National forest. Less than minutes drive time to both. Wonderful stay, great host, even brought us a homemade blueberry pie to enjoy (was devoured in minutes). Highly recommended.
We enjoyed staying in your home. Our group had fun exploring Acadia National Park for three of the days. One day we drove to Stonington which looks like a classic Maine town. The home was clean and had enough kitchen supplies for cooking.
Our stay was very comfortable. Enjoyed the large space. And nice kitchen setup, where we could cook several meals at home. The house was not cluttered and it was easy to keep my grand-daughter under control.
My family and I stayed here while exploring Acadia National Park and enjoyed our stay. The house is conveniently located to the park entrance and a short drive into town where you can access the local grocery store and other shops and restaurants.
Beds were comfy and the kitchen came equipped with the necessary items to cook a meal. The living room furniture is a bit old and you sink into it when you sit, but it serves its purpose. The house was not as clean as I expected when we arrived. There was a random m&m and a Chex cereal on the carpet near the island which leads me to believed it was not vacuumed prior to our arrival. There were sprinkles on the floor in the living room. There were cobwebs in the lower level area in the bedroom and tv area. Master bath shower and downstairs shower are very small. If ladies are looking to shave their legs you would need to use the larger bathroom off the kitchen which has a full tub. Nothing horrendous but could have used a more thorough cleaning. We had a wonderful time and these things would not deter us from staying again. Very private and secluded and quiet.
We brought 4 adults and 3 children for a week of hiking and exploring Acadia. The house was perfect. The property borders the National Park, and the quiet neighborhood consists of woods on one side and a large field with a pond on the other. The house itself was clean and spacious. The kitchen is equipped and functional. We cooked in a couple of nights, and found everything we needed. One of the things we enjoyed the most was the screened in porch. This was a great place to end the day, watching the sunset. All in our party enjoyed our stay and would recommend this home.
The house is super close to everything in town and to Acadia park itself. The house is very well taken care of and Margaret ( the owner) seems very kind and very accessible if you need her.
