Wonderful place but communication lacked

We arrived late Friday evening and realized there was a parking garage and a parking pass was needed. Thankfully the condo also has hotel rooms so we stood in line to ask how we get a parking pass. It was thankfully waiting for us in our room. I had no other way to contact the host in case of any emergencies. We were not informed the inside pools were under renovation, which was part of why we booked the condo. We also were not given any check out instructions other than a few notes in a book I found in the condo. Ive stayed at other vrbos and air b&bs and typically get a full welcome email upon arrival with arrival and departure info. This would have definitely made things a bit less stressful. Other than the poor communication, the room was wonderful. It was clean and had everything we needed for our extended weekend. Also, had a beautiful view of the ocean!
