About this property

Columbia Riverside Lodge, Private Dock Access, Outdoor Mountain Paradise

Our property rests right on the bank of the majestic, Upper Columbia River. We are the perfect getaway spot for those in search of outdoor recreation and/or privacy without the crowds. We share our private dock with Lazy-Daze-Retreats on the adjacent property. You will have your own private fire pit area , horseshoe pit, and water access on a spacious 2.5 acres. We are 1.5 mi. from the little town of Northport, 8 mi. from the Canada/USA Border. In our neighboring B.C. you'll find world class skiing and golf at Red Mountain and Redstone Resort Golf. We are also situated at the northern entrance to the Lake Roosevelt National Recreation area. We work with fishing guides for both Walleye & Fly Fishing. Fly fishermen come here to target the highly prized native Red-Band Rainbow Trout. This area of Washington remains relatively undiscovered, making it an ideal place to unplug and reconnect with loved ones and nature. We pride ourselves on our lodging being approachable like a second home, sporting all the comforts one may need. If we don't have it in the lodge, give us a quick phone call to see if it's available. Most of our guests are returnees and have become our friends. We consider this to be just one of the many perks of offering this majestic place to folks who may not have the opportunity to live in what we refer to as God's Country.

***NO ANIMALS permitted inside. NO EXCEPTIONS. This includes Service Animals due to HEALTH and SAFETY HAZARDS from Severe allergies held by our cleaning staff. No exceptions. If you have a Service Animal, this is not the place for you. A $200 fee will be assessed if this rule is violated.***

All the amenities of home! The property gave us all the space that we needed for games and outdoor activities. The fire pit area was such a relaxing place at night. Plenty of room for all of us to eat together. The Kitching was lacking. Nothing it was well stocked with everything you needed to make the perfect meal. I’m very short walk down to the lake. It would’ve been nice if there was a dock but plenty of space to set up chairs. Everyone had a wonderful experience and a very relaxing stay. The hosts went above and beyond to make sure you have all your needs met. Even sending back an item that got left in the house.

Cozy River Cabin

Super cozy A-frame cabin on the river, easy access to skiing at Red Mountain and perfect place to rest and recharge. The kitchen had everything we needed, beds were super comfy, and the view wonderful. Art was very responsive and we would definitely come here again!

Cozy cabin on the river

Our family stayed for three nights. We played games, constructed puzzles, sledded, snowshoed, and even had a fire in the fire pit. The house stayed nice and warm. We brought all our food and the kitchen had everything I needed to prepare meals. We were very comfortable.

Hidden gem awaits situated beautifully next to the majestic rolling waters of the Columbia River!

As we grew excited for our journey east of the mountains, our host Art made this adventure extremely smooth and presented us with impeccable details for our arrival to Eagle’s Nest. Craftsmanship at its finest, this cozy cabin awaits those looking for a tranquil stay surrounded by breathtaking scenery. Fairytale like touches may be found thought the grounds and many fun adventures await! Bring your s’more fixin’s, fishing poles or fetch on catching some wildlife perusing the grounds. Most hospitable host and ensured our stay was all we had wanted upon departure seeing us off! Stellar venue Art & family ~ thank you many times!

Nice place, bad time of year

The Eagle’s Nest in other circumstances would be a fine place to stay, I’m sure. Unfortunately, due to heavy smoke & heat in the area, our activities were limited & ultimately we ended our stay early. Art was a lovely host & very understanding of our situation. Only words of advice... consider the time of year you are staying & the weather. The air conditioners are on one side of the house which limits the cool air getting to all bedrooms. There’s the option to open the windows at night (though not when so much smoke is in the air), but with that comes tiny flying insects that get through the screens. Not a deal breaker, but something to be aware of. As well, the town of Northport does not offer much. Prepare to get your food in Spokane or possible in Canada, if open. Again, lovely hosts & probably a fine experience given the time of year & weather.

Picturesque

This was my families second time visiting The Eagles Nest and we can't wait to start planning for our third visit. It's an amazing place to detach from everyday life and focus on what's important. Art and Nina are amazing hosts and made us feel very comfortable in their little piece of Heaven. We enjoyed sitting at the river relaxing while the kids swam and fished.

Beautiful and Peaceful

First, we can't wait to be back! The cabin is extremely comfortable and well set up. The views of the water are exactly what I was hoping for, and being able to hear the river from the living room and master bedroom was fantastic. We enjoyed walking down to the river, roasting marshmallows on the fire pit, and generally just relaxing. Definitely will be back.

Beautiful property and cozy cabin on the river

We had a lovely weekend stay. The scenery is unmatched, the cabin was warm and cozy and accommodated two families pretty well. My only suggestion would be to have two queen size beds to accommodate adults more comfortably but otherwise it was great. We fished on the river right at the cabin and caught a nice rainbow. Thank you again!

A Christmas Week to Remember

Myself, husband and son were lucky enough to spend a week at Christmas at this beautiful place. It was the highlight of our year. From the moment we booked until after we checked out, Art was very easy to communicate with and extremely helpful in answering any questions we had about the cabin or the local area. The cabin itself was just amazing. It was so cosy and so many thoughtful touches throughout. The view of the river and mountains was spectacular. We could just sit and stare at it all day. It truly is God's country as Art describes. The kitchen and pantry was stocked with everything we could have needed. We brought all the food ourselves for the week's stay but it was nice when we forgot a few things and found them there in the pantry. The bed was ridiculously comfortable to sleep in. My husband typically tosses and turns a lot but with that memory foam mattress, he sunk in and stayed put! Out like a baby. We thoroughly enjoyed the jacuzzi tub also. We typically spend every Christmas at a cabin in Leavenworth but we thought it best to stay away from crowds this year, find somewhere quiet just to have cosy family time and play boardgames and enjoy the scenery. We definitely got that in abundance at Eagle's Nest. We have stayed at many cabins over the years and this cabin just was the absolute perfect package wrapped in a bow. We can't wait to return in the summer and couldn't recommend this cabin enough.

Fantastic Escaoe

The property was better than the pictures and words that were used to describe. Art was extremely gracious and friendly, the house adorable and comfortable, and the surrounding property spacious and inviting. Truly a wonderful place to enjoy the river and nature. Intend to make this a regular get away.

Absolutely gorgeous!

Art, Nina and Gabe are definitely the most gracious hosts we've ever encountered, and from the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home and assured that if there was anything we needed, they would be happy to provide it. We had complete access to the many amenities available on this beautiful and serene property and spent our days soaking up the amazing river views and surrounding nature, including a rafter of wild turkeys wandering through the yard once or twice a day. The "cabin" (roomy enough for 10 people) has all the amenities of home, and our hosts were always available to answer questions about the local areas and places of interest and local restaurants. We will definitely be coming to visit them again, and are also recommending them to our friends and family. Can't wait for vacation time to roll around again!!!

Cozy and Relaxing

What a great place to get away from everything. It's private, affordable and the views are breath taking. We have hunted, fished, and just relaxed on a few vacations here. The Eagle's Nest fits our large family nicely and is a home away from home. Lake Roosevelt at Northport is very much in the wilderness and you feel like you are the only one on the river and own the beaches, yet not too far away are the normal amenities. Art and Nina are super friendly and great hosts. Definitely our favorite vacation spot!

Beautiful, tranquil sanctuary!

My family and friends had a wonderful time at the Eagle's Nest. The cabin is charming with all the comforts of home and plenty of room. We love it! The view of the Columbia River is spectacular! We spent our days fishing for trout, boating, and just relaxing by watching the river go by. Evenings were spent around the fire and looking at the stars. Our gracious hosts, Art and Nina, made sure our stay was perfect. We made great memories at the Eagle's Nest. We will definitely be back!

About the host

Hosted by Art, Nina, & Gabe

Host profile image
We, Art, Nina and Gabe, welcome you to share our slice of Heaven up here in the NE corner of the state of Washington. We purchased this property for the purpose of a great vacation rental as well as not having any permanent neighbors. Our guests are always pleasantly surprised with what they find here and we are constantly, as I would say, "rubbing" on the place to make it even more enjoyable. We also have other lodging options in the area that we manage should you be looking for something a bit different. A large garden full of fruits, vegetables and flowers along with a small orchard/vineyard sits next door on the adjacent property. We are happy to have you tour it too! We look forward to seeing you in any season, as all 4 of them are spectacular here.

Why they chose this property

It is unique location and we were fortunate to be able to acquire it.

What makes this property unique

This beautiful spot is on the banks of The Mighty Upper Columbia River and we have our own private dock. The fishing is world class, views are amazing, the air is clean and you can see the stars at night. You have 2.5 acres virtually to yourselves with a fire pit , horseshoe pit, and plenty of space to spread out and relax. All but one bedroom have views of the river and you have all the comforts of home if you want.
