Weekend getaway

Nice place to stay. Plenty of room for 10 people (we had 6 but plenty of other room). Right on water with boat slip and fire pit. (But I would recommend thermacells or bug spray)

It served its purpose

The house is right on the water across from several large fishing boats. It was neat to see them and the pelicans. The host communicated well. My only complaint is the cleanliness of the place. The showers still had bars of soap and hair from the last guest. I had to find cleaner and clean the showers myself so we could shower. There were dirty underwear under my bed and dirty socks under another bed. As much as I paid for one night, I'd expect a clean house at least.

Overall good experience

Had a little trouble finding it just because there were two streets similarly named pretty close together and it was really dark. That’s mostly user error though. Haha The house was really clean and had plenty of space! We did have a little trouble with spiders downstairs, but that’s more of a “living near water outside of the city” thing than a cleanliness thing. There’s only two mirrors in the house, which is no big if you’re just there to fish, but made it a little difficult for 6 women to get ready for a night out. The house was pretty sparse if you want to cook or anything, but we ate out so it wasn’t really a problem for us! Bathrooms are spacious and clean and there’s plenty of towels! The owner responded to all my messages quickly and kindly and was really helpful. The only real problem we had was lack of wifi, but I also totally get not wanting to pay for a service in a house you’re not living in full time like that. It was overall a good experience!

Not what I expected

The address of the property is not listed and trying to get the address for the property manager hard. There were no clear check-in check-out procedures listed and trying to get any information from the property manager was like pulling teeth. The property is located at the end of a narrow street with parking for two vehicles. Keys where is a lock box on a water spicket (making it hard to open) and I had to wait for the property manager to responded to my text that I was at the property. The property is nice on the inside very spacious, as listed. However, there were no towels in the bathrooms (found is a cabinet) no towel racks, mirrors and no toilet paper holders. The kitchen is sparsely equipped (one chief's knife was the knife in the kitchen). Be ware that if you rent this property you will have to bring everything including cooking baking ware and cooking ware. There were exposed electrical outlets, It does have a big dock for boats but no electricity and no place to put a boat trailer. In the future I will work my fishing trips around the availability of Camps like Camp Gator.
