3,400sf home on 1.5 acre wooded lot with two small creeks. New 7-seat HOT TUB! Private pool with waterfalls and large decks and patios. Newly renovated kitchen anchors this spacious home in the Lake Hills community, just 20 minutes from downtown Austin. High-speed wifi (500mbs) and Sonos speakers. Very large master bedroom (king) with attached bathroom suite (including bidet and large shower); huge open concept kitchen/living/dining room; two additional bedrooms (both queens); game room with 60" TV and custom queen Murphy bed; two twin mattresses (not beds, just mattresses) in office (bunk bed pending but not arrived yet); gas fireplace in living room; huge decks and patios; playscape. Enjoy cooking out by the pool on the propane grill!

This is our actual home, so it is fully equipped and tastefully decorated. We are making it available for you while we are away. Come and enjoy!
N.B.: our pool is not heated. Pool temperature is subject to local, recent ambient temperatures. DOG OWNERS: our yard is not fenced. We are a secluded, wooded property with roaming deer.

Only several blocks away is a newly opened Patrizi's restaurant/bar with incredible Italian food and craft cocktails! Just down the street on Cuernavaca is an awesome local coffee shop and breakfast/lunch kitchen, The Civil Goat. Enjoy!

Downtown Austin is 15-20 minutes away, but major grocery stores, bars and restaurants are only 11 minutes away in either direction (either towards Austin or away).

Great getaway

Wonderful property. Immaculately clean. Everything well stocked. Quiet neighborhood. Lots of deer and wildlife. Easy access to shopping, dining, and entertainment. Pool looks great but I didn't get to use it due to uncooperative weather. Did use the hot tub and it was perfect. Communication with owner before and during my stay was perfect. Highly recommended.

We stayed here with grandparents and little children (3yo and 18 mos). The stairs to the front door are not the best for older people or children as they are very steep. The air conditioning worked great and there were plenty of dishes; although labeling on drawers/cupboards/light switches would be helpful. There were also plenty of towels but could use more pillows. The owners appear to live here so there are a lot of personal items around which does not make the house toddler friendly. Plenty of things for them to get into. The pool is unheated so very cold. Otherwise the owner is very responsive and the house very spacious.

Had potential but...

Stayed here for a long weekend with a group of girls for a reunion. The house itself is secluded, and in a bit of an odd location. While the house had a lot of potential, the welcome packet let us know that this was the owners' primary residence. It did not feel like what you would expect a VRBO rental to feel like. It truly felt like the owners picked up and walked out and we walked in. It was not as clean as you would expect, with a used bar of soap left in the shower, and old, musty bath towels, among other issues. The couch had a used tissue in the cushions. The laundry room and a bedroom had numerous personal items. The bedroom with the murphy bed does not have any privacy from the glass door that goes to the backyard. The pool was the best part, but the backyard area in general had personal clutter. We really wanted to like this place, as the pictures looked so great online, but we were quite disappointed and overall uncomfortable. A man (the owner?) came to clean the pool around 10am one morning, which would have been fine had we been given some kind of notice. For the price we paid, we definitely expected more.

Fun summer getaway

Amazing pool, comfortable and clean home. Italian restaurant Patrizi's is very close by and delicious. No problems whatsoever. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Wooded Escape

This property was perfect for a family staycation. The backyard on this home was so amazing. The pool with waterfalls was fun and relaxing. Plenty of shelves in the pool to sit and enjoy the view and sounds. The hot tub was a great way to end your day with the super jets :) . The home was clean and well stocked. The owner is incredibly responsive and all of the touches they have made to make you comfortable are evident. We even saw a HUGE deer in the backyard. We will be back.

Awesome family vacation.

My two sons, their wives and my 5 grandchildren joined me for a family vacation filled with special memories. The house was perfect, lots of room, well stocked and very clean. Even better was the secluded yard, only neighbors we saw were the deer and we only heard the roosters. Best of all was the pool where we all had a blast! I highly recommend this property.

Family Vacation

The Great Wooded Escape

Absolutely beautiful property. The pool and surrounding area is fantastic. The house is a PERFECT set up for two groups/families traveling together. The community space is in the middle, with sleeping spaces on opposite sides of the house. Everything worked, which almost never happens in a VRBO. I would absolutely recommend it and rent again.

Great Family Getaway!!

This house was AMAZING!!! We celebrated our triplets birthday and graduation in this beautiful spacious home!! It was clean and SO WELL STOCKED with serving dishes and barware!! The pool, hot tub and patio areas were so fun and spacious as well!! The beds were so comfortable and it very comfortably slept up to 10 people with enough bathrooms for everyone to spread out. The owner, Michael, was very attentive and quick to respond to anything we needed!! The only reason I gave the location and neighborhood a 4 rating is that you have to drive through a short kind of run down area of properties, but once you hit the cul-de-sac, the surrounding homes are lovely and this property is AMAZING! We hope to rent again during football season with friends or maybe a family holiday!!! We made some great family memories in this home!!

3 Generations made great memories here!

The house and outdoor amenities did not disappoint. We felt like we had our own private resort and our 10&14 year old kids got all their energy out while the parents and grandparents hung out, feeling the vacation vibes. Meals were fun and easy, we all loved sitting at the giant kitchen island and eating together. The beds were super comfortable and we liked the bedroom layouts, not on top of each other and all on the same floor. The star gazing was amazing and the natural setting contributed to the feeling of really getting away even though you are actually pretty close to all the ATX spots. We will be back for sure!

Lovely neighborhood and fantastic house

We had a large family group staying here for the weekend and it was absolutely fantastic. The house is very spacious but our favorite part was the backyard. There was so much room for the kids to play and for us all to relax. We loved the big open kitchen as well for cooking family meals and time together.

Unique Property

This unique rental has many highlights. The inside of the home is very clean, comfortable, spacious, and all appliances are in working order. The beds are very comfortable and the showers are great! The water is clean and drinkable. The living room basketball game was fun for all! The house is a merge of what appears to be an old cottage converted into a modern home. The outdoor areas need attention and should not be labeled as luxury. The pool landscape is beautifully constructed, but the area is in need of some TLC. The photos are much better than the reality. Our children enjoyed the experience, but the adults were underwhelmed due to the current condition of the outdoor setting. The pool is very cold, as described. The hot tub is a nice reprieve after a polar plunge! The children discovered that the slide is more "slippery" when using the tube! It is hard to see in the photos, but there is also a stone "diving board" near the deeper part of the pool (not for actual diving, as it is too shallow). This backyard oasis is private, enveloped by "the enchanted forest" that children can safely explore. We could even hear a rooster in the distance most days. The neighborhood can be described as a mix of newly constructed, high-end homes and dilapidated, much older homes. The homes range from million dollar properties to barely standing cottages. There are deer everywhere! It's quite precious as they interact so closely with the neighborhood. The owner is VERY attentive.

Wonderful backyard space!

Wonderful property, loved the backyard space. Home was very comfortable. Very nice to have a well stocked kitchen with pots/pans etc. plenty of glasses. Would definitely stay at this home again.

My wife and I designed and built this home. It is an eclectic mix of traditional, transitional, modern and southwestern. The house has 10' ceilings, and a 16' vaulted ceiling in the living room. From the huge decks and patios, you can relax and soak in the sounds of birds, insects and frogs. Or shut the doors and windows and enjoy silence (or your own rockin music on our Sonos system).

What makes this property unique

The house, and the whole back yard space, FEELS good. It is quiet, peaceful, and beautiful. You will see deer in the yard every day. We are surrounded by woods and two small creeks.
