Absolutely loved our stay in Maggie Valley, NC! The property was spotless, fully stocked with everything we needed, and had the most breathtaking views of the mountains and valley. Communication with the owner, John, was top-notch—friendly, prompt, and helpful throughout the entire process. A peaceful, cozy getaway spot we’d happily return to!
Cabin was very spacious with plenty of room. Bathrooms on each level made it especially accommodating.Decor was updated with a wilderness theme that was a perfect fit for the area.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The views were amazing! There is a bedroom on every floor! We needed up seeing snow on our fourth day! If you have a chance stop by Haywood barbecue it is amazing! Beds were very comfortable! I just suggest to bring some extra vlanketzy!
Totally enjoyed our time at Smoky Summit Cabin. Very comfortable and exactly as listed. John was great in responding to our needs. Beautiful views off the back deck.
We stayed five weeks this summer enjoying various segments with family, friends and just the two of us. We placed several hummingbird feeders on the deck railing posts and enjoyed their morning and evening visits while we drank our coffee or sipped our wine. The clean and well-equipped kitchen allowed us to prepare a variety of meals together. The beds were very comfortable and the mini-split air conditioners were perfect. We appreciated the strong Wi-Fi and cable connection. The charming outdoor fire pit with surround seating provided us the opportunity to roast marshmallows and sing old-fashioned campfire songs. The numerous TVs allowed for everyone to watch the news or their favorite shows. The host is exceptionally responsive to requests. We made wonderful memories in Maggie Valley.
Wonderful place, loved the view, standard of equipment provided was excellent. Thanks for keeping the baby gates - saved us much headache with our toddler! Played lots of table football, spent hours reading on the deck, walked the local hill three times, cooked steaks on the grill. Couldn’t have been better.
Views of the surrounding mountains are beautiful. Accommodations were spacious, clean, and comfortable. Host was polite and very responsive. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
This house is exactly like the pics! It was beautiful inside and out, we did not want to leave. When the host mentioned you should find this house in the daylight, he was not kidding! We got there right before sunset, this Fla girl is not used to mountains let alone driving in them. It was a bit difficult finding the house, but once we did we were good to go for the rest of the trip. This house has a beautiful view! It has everything you need, fully stocked, grocery stores and chain restaurants about 15 min away, local mom and pop restaurants about 5-10 min. Away. Blue Ridge Mountains about 40 min away. Such a great trip, can’t wait to come back
John the host was very accommodating. His communication with us for any questions was prompt and courteous. The cabin was beautiful, clean, and had all the amenities that you would need for comfortable stay in the area we would go back.
Property was perfect location to get to Smoky Mountain National park as well as Asheville area attractions (within an hour of both). 100% suggest going to Soco Falls which is only about 10 minutes from the cabin. Cabin was stocked with all the extras: nightlights, box fan, ports crib, printer to print out parking tag for National park and trail maps, lots of games and toys for the kids. The view from the living rooms and porches are gorgeous. Faces the East so great sunrises.
Drive to the cabin is typical mountain roads. We arrived at night and they were a bit scary but not bad at all in daylight. Host was great and quick to respond to any questions.
We enjoyed our stay. It is very spacious with a great view. There was a pack n play which was a happy surprise. We enjoyed the fire place every night. The only downside for us was the road up. We hadn’t stayed in the mountains before, so we weren’t used to the one lane road. We got used to it and became comfortable with it. I would suggest finding it in the daylight the first day. We had a wonderful time.
Loved everything about this location! Beautiful house and beautiful views! If there is a chance for snow or ice the ride up and down might be a little difficult but would be a great place to get snowed in for a bit. We will be back!!
