Location great, apartment stinks

We chose this property for the location and willing to sacrifice some frills but this apartment was not good. In fairness it was mostly like the pictures, and clean. But there was an awful smell of sewage walking up the stairs and inside the apartment was a strong sulfur smell. We decided to stay but by the morning the smell was still there, I felt sick and we went another location. In addition the shower and the kitchen are basically in the same room with a sliding door, and the toilet seat and shower doors were coming off. We sent a message to the host, no response.We travel a lot, and I’ve never written a bad review but I had to. There were no reviews for this place and no information about the host so I realize we were also taking a chance.
