We enjoyed our stay at this cozy lake house. Beautiful view and location on the lake. Manager and owner were very friendly and helpful. We will return.
House is older and some updates and general maintenance is needed, mostly outside. Warm cozy inside, private in great location with good views of lake and mountains.
The views from the dock were great. We had lots of success fishing.
One highlight was the Aqua Tiki came to the dock to pick us up for a wonderful cruise around Lake Chatuge-complete with beverages and slide! There are many great hikes in the area-really enjoyed the one on Lake Chatuge dam.
We were required to purchase damage insurance and also had to put up a $500 refundable security deposit-which VRBO advised me later was not necessary. There was no dish washer.
Overall interior needs updating and better cleaning. There were large cracks in the exterior retaining walls.
This is a great little lake house with a dock and private master suite.
What we loved : great location- close to marines and downtown Hiawassee, beautiful views from the deck, back yard swing, and dock, great responsive host!
Things that could be improved: lacking some amenities that would be expected based on the price like cable tv and dishwasher, exterior needs a little TLC.
Overall our family really enjoyed our stay!
The property has steep steps to get to the main house and a ramp along the side of the guest house to the main house that is in need of a railing. The interior has been upgraded with newer furnishings, so the pictures need to be updated. We knew the backyard was a bit steep but the covered boat dock worked great for the boat we brought with us. The views could be improved with some branches and vines being trimmed. Overall the property is older but appears to be in the process of some upgrades. It was comfortable for our stay.
Awesome view. So peaceful. Great dock to swim and park the boat. There is an instant pot cooker and griddle as well as plenty of pots and pans. Beautiful neighborhood to walk. Pet friendly.
This was a wonderful stay at a beautiful site. The only thing was that there was no dishwasher, when the VRBO stated there was one in the house. We did a lot of cooking as a family so had to wash a lot of dishes by hand at each meal. Other than that, we had a great time at the lake and the hot tub.
The views of the mountains and lake were breath taking. Very clean and comfortable. Surrounded by great parks, more lakes and waterfalls, so much to do if you love the outdoors. Host was very pleasant and we had a seamless check in. Definitely recommend and would like to rebook in the future.
Great location, lovely view. Trimming some brush and trees would make it better. New showerheads and toilet paper holders would be nice and some racks or hooks to hang towels on.
We were looking for a quiet get away from crowds. This cabin was the perfect solution. We had a lovely and relaxing trip., just hanging out on the porch watching the boats on the lake.
Very nice people.......the house has an older appearance but very nice inside....you have the main part of the house with two bedrooms and then a stand alone building about 20 feet away with a third bedroom which is very nice....A really nice dock for swimming and fishing.....we have zero complaints about our stay and are already talking about going back in the Summer!!
Relaxing, quaint, lake was clear & beautiful, feels like grandma’s house
Relaxing place & beautiful lake view. The area was nice, driveway was steep. Fully equipped kitchen. It was storming & cable went out but we brought cards & we enjoyed the family time. It was difficult going down to the dock & back for one of our family members. If you had some type of steps would be better. Would have been nice if we could have had a fire pit near the lake but it was nice place. Lake was clean & clear. Separate master bedroom was very nice & gave privacy to guests Lucille was great to work with. Thank you for sharing your place.
We had an awesome time on vacation at this location. I would highly recommend any family to stay at this property with the exception of anyone that has any difficulty with mobility. The property is on a very steep hill and makes it very difficult to get to the dock if anyone has any walking problems. Other than that the house is very clean and nice but more like a camp and then a modern home. The views of the lake and the mountains of North Carolina are nothing short of stunning and a total pleasure to look at all day from the deck in the dock. I brought my bike with me and exercised every day just on the peninsula going around in a 1.5 mile circle and the hills made it challenging and a great work out. My son and I caught a striper bass and some smallmouth bass out of the lake using live bait we bought it one of the marinas very close by. There’s also lots to see within just an hour of the property like lots of waterfalls and other attractions. Lucille in the office was absolutely wonderful to deal with and very pleasant. The local grocery store is nothing short of perfect and even has a Starbucks there to cure your coffee fix every morning or afternoon. If you’re looking for a no stress vacation this is the place. Lots to do or nothing to do if you prefer :-). I highly recommend it.
Sharon was awesome to work with in booking! The home is older and not updated but the location was awesome! View was spectacular! Bring an extension cord if you plan to dock a boat. No power, but other than that it’s a great getaway. Very private. Beautiful water!

spectactular views! comfy beds and super privacy!! Excellent value for the $$$
This lakefront cottage is like taking a trip back in time, but with modern convenience!
The King master in the bungalow has its own deck overlooking the lake, and is steps away from the cottage, which gave us even more privacy! Our kids used the bedrooms in the cottage.
We were pleasantly surprised to find a Jacuzzi hot tub overlooking the lake!
The covered dock with its swim platform as great for fishing and swimming.. We could see fish from the seawall and the water was very clean!
The house was squeaky clean ,the linens fresh, and the water from the well tasted great!
The wifi worked well, and having that made up for the lack of a dishwasher!
We will definitely be coming back!

Great home with private lake access
This house was great for a family weekend. The master bungalow has all the upgrades you need. The main house is spacious and comfortable, not uograded, steep steps from master to main. Nice boat dock, downhill access to lake, tough on elderly or very young. no walk in access to water due to "sea wall" but ladders at boat and swimming dock, private lot, well wooded. Dock on main thorough way of lake, lots of boat traffic during Memorial Day weekend. Quick ride to town with east access. Fishing at dock was awesome. Boys caught 4 nice spotted bass

Incredible Views
Pictures match what you see when you get there, other than now there is a great hot-tub! House was comfortable, clean, safe/secure, everything worked properly, and beautiful views of the lake. Everyone we had interactions, e.g. owner(s), local property management office, etc, were very pleasant and helpful. Great small town, with some seriously good food. The lake is beautiful. Easy travel to other places in NE Georgia, and NW North Carolina, even Tennessee.
