Boutique Award Winning CONTE MARINO VILLAS in Crete
The Villas are built in a rich colourful stone that emphasizes on the more modern Cretan architecture of today. The villas offer sun flooded areas with shades of different colours during the day periods that leaves a lasting impression from every angle of the Villas. These embody the perfect example for architectural delight and study on Crete’s today’s civilization.
The Villas are designed with high ceilings, spacious rooms and large patio windows. The wooden structure, the marble and glass features and metal fixtures blend materialistically entwined into its stone characters offering a high aesthetic result in design. High quality indoor and outdoor furnishings designed specifically for the villas complete its comfortable environment for sheer relaxation. The famous architects Aristomenes and George Baroudakis managed perfectly to capture, artful design, comfort and sheer quality at its fingertips for every welcoming guest that visits. Impressive high stone walls very thick at the bottom and thinner at the top create a castle like building perfectly harmonized with contemporary design from inside.
Each Villa has its own private overflow swimming pool that can be entered by its yacht style wooden deck that is extended alongside side each of the pools. The pools are made of Diamond Brilliance finishes with quartz aggregates that give a ray of stunning rainbow like colors (iridescences) during different periods of the day. The surrounding garden areas are something to definitely highlight on, as the owners managed to maintain the original fruitful orange and olive trees in their original place during the Villas construction and add flowers and bushy plants.
The fruitful orange trees burst with zest and aromas of natural essence that linger in their lush gardens and emphasize on the uniquely built quality of these three individual and private Villas. Oranges are ready to be picked up by guest during the spring and summer periods to taste the best Cretan juices.

We highly recommend this property for family, Despina our host was delightful and very helpful.
Breakfasts onsite were exceptional and we loved the location for visiting amazing beaches, restaurants and The old town.
Our Villa was private, and we loved the pool, a fantastic big pool for playing and laps.
What an amzing time. Beautiful villa, beautuful location. We are a family of 5 and we had an amazing time. Despina the host was so nice. The pool is a great size and and the villa is really like a 5 star hotel. There is an great little taverna walking distance and chania is only a 20 min drive. What a lovely week we had
We stayed at Conte Marino Villas in May and it exceeded our expectations. Truly an elegant design arising from the engineering creativity of its owners and our hosts, Despina and Nikos, along with famous architects and impeccable interior design. It has everything you could want both inside and out and Despina was very gracious welcoming us with a lovely basket of local Cretan goodies and helping us plan our outings. We loved the details of the design inside the home as well as the exterior which are both quite spacious and luxurious. The pool is large and adds to the overall ambience as well as the wonderful orange trees and lovely foliage. Each morning began with fresh squeezed orange juice and pastries from the nearby patisseries. We rented a car and drove all over Crete. Our favorite towns were Chania and Rethymno. The drive through Topolia Gorge to Elafonisi beach was spectacular but we liked Falassarna beach just as much and it was less crowded. We loved sunset dinners at the port in Chania and shopping around the charming village. Despina was very thoughtful in recognizing the birthdays of our adult children with a delicious cheesecake our last night. She even bought numerical candles for them which was an extra special touch. We could not have asked for anything more and were all sad to leave this magical place. We hope to return again some day!
Add the extra day or two, just do it, truly wished we would have!
It was everything and more! From the excellent communication to the welcome gifts to answering all of our questions (and we had quite a few).
The Villa was comfortable had amazing amenities with wonderful features of texture and art--the windows/doors to the outside views were incredible. Very peaceful. The orange and lemon trees had amazing fruit--fresh orange juice everyday! The pool was delightful. We could not have asked for a better place to stay.
We learned about the history of the town we were in and just so happened that it was during the Days of Remembrance--June 2 we attended a moving concert--the most cultural enriching experience during our trip. Grateful to have felt so welcome to attend.
Location was far enough away and close enough to drive into Chania--same for the beaches.
Despina was the most gracious host and loved every bit of her stories as we learned so much from her. Would have loved to just sit and had coffee with her sometime.
"Hostess with the Mostest" on Island with Mountains, Greenery, Minoan Culture & Fabulous Beaches!
The "Hostess..." title is an expression when a hostess does a wonderful job! Despina created an attractive, spacious oasis among olive trees.
The vacation home is even nicer than the lovely photos. The outdoor space is private for the guests with fruit-bearing plantings and diverse flowers. Nice path w fencing of our space leads past 2 other pretty homes, lending each privacy. The outdoor shared area for breakfast was beyond words-fabulous. How pampered and novel to wake up each morning and be greeted by cheerful Chef Viktoras Chairetakis who set a beautiful table w tasty foods. We had our first ever private chef-made dinner at our patio's table at sunset. These great leftovers & the hostess' premium gift basket goodies kept us fed and happy after our beach days.
The attention to detail & comfort throughout the home will really be appreciated by those who love beauty. I chose this home for a few day stay because I wanted to feel I was living equally nicely in Crete as I do in my home. On vacation, after travels, sometimes one longs for a large, luxurious space like this among a few local homes & countryside.
An easy car commute to a boat can take guests to one of the nicest beaches I have ever visited. At first, I thought to find a semi-private boat, but the inexpensive, large boat really was nice, too. The memory of the water & joy of sailing to Balos Beach will be with us forever. Every need, even instructions for TV-Netflix usage was met.
Special stay! Thanks!
We stayed here as a family of four with two teenage boys and had a wonderful two weeks. The villa is really nicely designed, it combines some traditional elements with a really lovely modern design. The pool area is great to sit around with a lovely shaded area and the garden gets sun all day.
Despina is an amazing host, she answered every question, provided great restaurant recommendations and went over and above to help us have a great holiday. Victor's breakfasts every morning were a real highlight, and the villa is well placed to easily get into Chania and to explore all the beaches in the north east of the Island. Would highly recommend.
My husband and our 2 teenagers just returned from this lovely Oasis near Chania and we all agreed we could not have picked a better location or house for our visit. Not only is the villa stunningly beautiful and immaculate, but our host, Despina, was so incredibly welcoming and generous. From the welcome basket filled with wine, olives and other specialty items from Crete, Cretan bath products in the bathrooms, and the most amazing breakfast spread freshly prepared each morning by her chef, we felt like our every need was anticipated. She was so helpful in recommending beaches, towns and restaurants. She even reserved a table for us our first night. The house itself is so lovely. It has all the modern amenities but the thing we loved most about it was how it blended so seamlessly with the natural environment. It has great outdoor space with plenty of shady spots even during the heat of the day. We loved the pool, the sound of the cicadas, and the abundant fruit trees on the property. Some of the nicest beaches in Crete are within easy driving distance and the cute town of Chania is just a short drive away. If I could give this property more stars, I would because it is that special. Thank you Despina for making our stay so perfect!
Crete was wonderful and my kids (7 and 9) and loved staying at this gorgeous home (it's nicer in person than in the photos). The house and grounds are pristine and the views are also wonderful - orange and olive trees, snow-capped mountains and the sea.
Despina was extremely welcoming with prompt and clear communication before and throughout the stay. She's just lovely and very easy to work with.
I highly recommend this property.
Everything about this villa and this holiday was perfect! Dimitros and her team cannot do more for you, and they are very proud of the villa and the experience they create for you. And they should be! The architecture and interior design of the villa is stunning, and the outside areas with beautiful orange trees and a private garden with an outside kitchen and private chef is just wonderful. We had an amazing time at this villa. A car is necessary for exploring the local area. Thanks to everyone at Conte Marino Villas. We will be back!
Just stayed 2 weeks in one of the villa with 2 boys (10 and 16).
Villas exceeded our expectations and are actually better than the already very beautiful pictures.
Private parking, garden and sizeable pool for the kids to enjoy. Nice terraces for the parents to enjoy a glass of wine.
Very high standard natural materials and overall equipment, including very welcome air conditioning.
Despina, our host, was extremely helpful and professional.
Would highly recommend.

A perfect villa for a family to explore Crete from
Our experience was outstanding - would give 6 stars if I could! We are a family of four, our children are aged 8 and 4. The villa is absolutely beautiful, clearly designed and built to incredibly high standards. Despina and her husband, Nikos, made us feel at home from the start. Our flight was significantly delayed, but Nikos had stayed at the airport to welcome us, make sure everything was OK with our car rental and guide us to the villa at around 1 am. There was a lovely welcome basket of local produce for us on the table and a carafe of Raki to cheer us up after the delay.
The pool was perfect for our children who are both good swimmers, but with the way it is designed (depth and width) would also be great for younger children or those who don't swim so well. The kitchen is a great size and incredibly well stocked, with everything we could possibly need, in a well-organized fashion. The bedrooms/bathrooms are a good size and could easily accommodate a larger family. The cleaners were excellent and the villa was spotless throughout our stay, despite the chaos our children can introduce to any environment! The villa is also very quiet and private. Despite there being another 2 villas in the complex, you would not know there is anyone else around.
One of the highlights is the Cretan breakfast each morning. Effie, the chef who prepares the breakfast, is wonderful and the outdoor kitchen/dining area set in the orange grove is stunning. She was incredibly welcoming to the children and prepared what we are reliably informed is the best chocolate milk ever. The food was delicious and she gave us some great tips on where to explore during our week.
Despina was a great help in planning our week too. She was immediately available in person or by text to answer any questions and provide help in planning trips and reserving restaurants for us. Her recommendations were brilliant (we had great meals at Captain Fidias, Thalassino Ageri, and Arismari restaurants).
In terms of places to visit, the beautiful town of Chania is very easy to drive to (takes about 20 minutes), local beaches and restaurants about 10 minutes away and Elafonissi beach is just over an hour away. For those wanting to experience a bit of history, Knossos is a 2-hour drive away ( well worth the trip), and closer by are the ruins of Ancient Aptera (about 30 minutes away).
This was a fantastic holiday, in a beautiful villa run by wonderful owners and great staff.

Spectacular Stay in Crete
From the beginning, Despina was wonderful. She helped us to arrange everything we needed for our stay in Crete. We arrived late to the Villa at 11:30pm with a personal, warm and friendly welcome by Despina. She gave us a detailed tour of the Villa and left some beautifully prepared bites and wine for us to eat (per our request). The space was immaculately kept and the design and architecture was modern yet warm and comfortable. After a wonderful nights rest, we woke up to light fluttering throughout the house. The home is surrounded by Olive and Orange trees with a view of the Sea. Despina hosted a delicious traditional Greek breakfast spread outside in the garden by her Chef. I wish I could eat this breakfast every day for the rest of my life - it was that good with such a variety of items!
We only had a short visit to Crete and I do plan to return one day and when I do - I will definitely reserve this beautiful Villa again. Despina's hospitality along with the Villa itself was perfection! I cannot say this enough....it was a dreamy couple of days! I hope you get to enjoy it one day too.

So much more than I expected!
I have traveled all over Greece, especially Crete and I didn't expect the level of luxury I received here.
Every detail was exquisite, the owners were hospitable and showed me how to maneuver the house (it's a smart house). The sheets were of the finest quality but what I loved the most was the tranquility. You are close to the beach but far enough to have peace and quiet. Orange trees and a small village surround the property giving you the perfect blend of quiet, vacation and stunning views!
