I first saw Lake San Cristobal August 2021 and new then I would be back to celebrate my 60th birthday. The cabin is so comfy and well stocked. Location is outstanding, the views are gorgeous! Can easily get to surrounding adventures such as North Spring Creek Falls, engineer pass, and just a very short drive to Lake City which Such a charming city to say the least. My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and know will be back!!!

Beautiful view of mountain & reflections on lake.
Property manager was helpful. Location was good except for the road that ran in front of the cabin. Constant dust from the road was unpleasant. Some dishes & utensils were dirty. We hand washed everything before using. Found a dead mouse in second bedroom & mice were heard at night. Overall stay was pleasant enjoyed going in town, to Creede & driving Alpine Loop.
This was such a wonderful place. We came in at night and the next morning when we opened the blinds we could see the huge mountain in front of us. The lake was just a beautiful! Perfect location
Such a pretty view and a great location! We really liked that the porch was completely fenced/gated so we didn’t have to worry about my toddler wandering off.

The views are amazing!
Lake City is a great central location for lots of fun activities. We drove South to Creede and enjoyed the Bachelor Historic Loop which is a 16 mile loop trail through Creede's historic silver mining district. And on the way we stopped to see the very beginning of the Rio Grande River. Very cool! We also drove North to Gunnison and then all the way up to Crested Butte to sight see. Gunnison has a quaint downtown area with great shopping and Crested Butte is an adorable little ski town. There is also a great trout fishing area on the Gunnison River not far off of that highway. We turned left at the Blue Mesa Cutoff which is just North of Lake City and it was beautiful! Caught browns and rainbows!
We didn't have much luck fishing in the lake but we loved being able to access the Alpine Loop right from the house. Took picnic lunches with us and we were off on our Polaris to explore all day!
The house was comfortable and the king bedroom has a great view of the lake. The kitchen was a bit outdated but I was able to create some great meals and we enjoyed the serenity of the evenings.
Overall this was a great vacation and I would recommend it to anyone who loves all of the outdoor activities and scenery offered by these beautiful mountains.

Loved waking up to the view of San Cristobal Lake
The view was amazing, lived the wrap around deck, nice big kitchen, had everything we needed to cook breakfast and dinners . Beds were comfortable in all rooms.. 3 couples riding the trails made for dusty guests, we were amazed we all had nice hot showers.. there was room for parking for our 2 trucks and trailers. Very welcoming management team was so hosputable and easy to work with and make arrangements to pick up keys. We can't wait to come back next year!!!!
