A perfect house to stay at and perfect location as a 'home base' as we explored all that Door County had to offer. House was clean, lots of bedrooms, and close to the beach. Best part was the screened in porch where we sat every morning planning our day. Communication with hosts was great!!
This home away from home was awesome! We loved the open concept and beautifully decorated common areas. The bedrooms were very nice! Maybe take a look at updating the mattresses in the near future. The house was stocked with everything we needed! Loved being able to walk to the beach! Overall a great place to stay and would love to return for another visit!
We went to try and catch the Northern Lights but it was too cloudy. But we enjoyed our time and loved the house. Great location and still pleanty to do.
Not only did this house have everything expected, we were pleasantly surprise with many extras. Made for a very convenient and comfortable stay. Thank you!
Neat and tidy! Driveway is a little hard to see, but located in a nice area.

Nice property
Stayed with a group of friends for our annual girls weekend. The house was great, well stocked kitchen, and owner easy to work with. Our only wish was that the property was actually on waterfront as requested in our filter. Yes, it did mention being across the road from the lake, but unfortunately it wasnt visible, couldnt hear the waves and was actually a short walk to get there. Overall it was a great weekend. Thank you for your hospitality.
Very nice and well stocked home! We enjoyed riding through Door County with friends, as well as coffee together on the screen porch and evening cocktails on the deck. Took several walks to the beach as well!

Lake beach home was beautiful had everything ready and needed for our stay. Our family enjoyed kayaking the beach and wonderful door county. At the lake house was just awesome and relaxing for all 6 of us.
We had a fabulous time staying here for the week of 4th of July! The weather was great and the location of the house was perfect for spending quality time with family. The access to the beach was convenient and even though it was a holiday week, it wasn’t crowded at all. If you are looking for a place away from tourists and crowds this is your place. We still could drive 15 mins to the areas that were more crowded and see all the cool things in Door County but return here for privacy. The house had everything we needed and we enjoyed the delicious welcome treats from the owners. We would return here and stay again. Some of our favorite adventures were visiting Cave County Park for awesome photos, taking the ferries to Washington island and Rock Island, as well as sitting on the screened porch having dinner, reading and listening to the waves. We also enjoyed relaxing on the beach, riding bikes on Glidden and went on a kayak tour of Cave County Park. Thanks!
House worked out just fine. The beach is close and neighborhood private and quiet. House had what we needed. Since it was our first time in Door County we didn’t realize we’d have to drive so far to get everywhere, but it was fine. If our friends hadn’t been staying in Ephraim, we might not have felt like we were so isolated.
This is a very well kept and well equipped house across the road from the beach with easy lake access. Glidden Drive which we have stayed on many times over the years. We were a family of 4 adults and one child. Two bathrooms, but one on the lower level with a living/sleeping area (double futon type) (no privacy for the sleeping area) and a small room with twin bed. A "Loft" bedroom with doors, large and a king bed, but no bathroom on that level. Two queen beds and a bathroom on the main level. It worked for us, but if you needed a bathroom on each floor of sleeping and not a lot of stairs, this would not work for you. Lots of towels everywhere and toilet paper, kleenex and paper towels to start which many places do not. We would recommend this place with a group our size.
This house was well stocked and set up for guests. There were 4 adults and 2 children who stayed here comfortably. The basement room was fairly cold, however they did have a fireplace heater that worked, just didnt want to leave it on too long with children. The beach access is close but is down the road and across the street. It was located on a nice quiet street but was easy to get to the main town area. The property manager was responsive and even kindly mailed us a stuffed animal my child left.
The whole experience was truly amazing. The cabin was beautiful and the small details of the owners to make the stay the best possible really showed. The cabin had an amazing view and was very cozy and comfortable. It was far enough away from anything to make you feel in the woods, but still a close enough to all the things to see. If you are looking for beautiful views in a very comfortable location, this is the spot for you!
This property is very clean and well cared for. Great location to easily get to parks or town, but also very cozy to relax and enjoy time with family and friends. Truly enjoyed our stay and will be back.
Three couples thoroughly enjoyed the weekend at this lovely home. Clean, comfortable and supplied with everything you need. We spent lots of time on the screen porch, playing games and catching up with each other. The hosts were very welcoming (and went out of their way after we checked out to help find a pair of earbuds that were dropped in the driveway). The lake is within easy walking distance and you can enjoy the sound of the surf from the deck and porch. Easy drive in to Sturgeon Bay and other spots in Door County. The only thing to be aware of is that the water smells of sulfur so you want to bring bottled drinking water. We hope to come back next fall!
Our stay on Glidden Drive was great! The location was perfect and the house was fully equipped and very comfortable. Our family of various ages really enjoyed it!!
We loved our time “At the Lake!” Our family had a wonderful time. The house was spectacular and well stocked with all of your basic necessities and then some! We loved the screen porch and easy/close beach access. We really enjoyed exploring on the beach, playing in the sand and wading through the water even though it was pretty chilly. There are only two things to note (not a negative by any means just an oversight on my part) there is not a tub for bathing little ones. My almost 3 year old was fine using the shower to bath. We just used a cup to dump water and wash her. Secondly, I didn’t realize that there is an annual alewife die off that happens around the end of June. It wasn’t terrible this year but something to keep in mind when planning a trip during this time of year in order to avoid little dead fish on the beach. The host really went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and at home and they provided everything from toilet paper to spices to laundry detergent and a very thoughtful welcome gift. We will definitely be returning in the future!
The place was amazing for our family vacation. We had our two adult children, their spouses and two grandsons. Plenty of room for the kids to play, especially with the open concept living room and kitchen. The screen porch was wonderful to sit on in the morning with our coffee. Many amenities were supplied which was greatly appreciated.
Our family of 5 booked this gem for a last minute getaway before our college aged children left for summer jobs. This is an excellent property and highly recommended. Easy access to the beach and the house itself is nestled on a quiet rustic drive. There are houses around but feels quite private. We toured the county from this base camp located about 8 miles from Sturgeon Bay. Comfortable, clean, easy in/out. It is not located in the heavy tourist areas which we liked but you can drive to any county location easily. Or, take a full day and sit on the beach which was awesome and a short walk through an access point.
