Very nice property, listing accuracy questionable

The property was exactly as described and what I was looking for. The listing description left out a couple items I feel were pretty important when choosing a place to stay. I booked well in advance of my stay. A few months before my stay I was told the property only had a wood burning fireplace for heat and if it was snowing the property was only accessible by 4x4. I personally think those items are critical to the listing and should be mentioned up front not divulged after booking. I still chose to move forward. Shortly before the stay I was informed the wood for the fireplace was not included and I would have to provide my own. To me that is totally outrageous. You don’t book a hotel and have to pay for the electricity. If the rate didn’t cover the necessary wood the rate should have been increased to cover it. Just my opinion. Like I said the cabin was nice the lower level was uninhabitable because of how cold it was. If I didn’t have to provide wood I would consider it again but my rating reflects the fact that I should not have to pay to heat where I am sleeping.

Thanksgiving getaway

My larger family was staying across the street at another property and since we have an infant, we decided to stay somewhere close but separate. This worked VERY well for us as our biggest intention was for our two boys to sleep through the night without us or anyone else being interrupted. Check-in was super easy, getting connected to wifi was super easy, the fireplace was easy to operate but the wall units kept the house warm enough without it.Our only hiccup was trying to keep our one year old from climbing both sets of stairs, but that was on us and not our host. That was clearly explained prior to our arrival.

Guys Trip

Cabin was clean and scenery awesome. However the description of the cabin did not include the many stairs to get to the front door or inside. As 2 of our family members have medical conditions, while not not considered disabled as per the ADA, it made climbing the steep stairs difficult enough they were not able to stay.

Summer Family get away

The cabin is nice and spacious enough for our family of 5. The hosts were kind enough to leave a treat for our kids to enjoy and they were super helpful with any questions I had! The porch provides a beautiful place to enjoy coffee in the mornings, family dinners, and a fun hang out place. The kids loved having so many places to choose to sleep each night.

Great getaway

We were three guys that used to work together in the same office for more than 20 years. We found the accommodation to be the perfect setting for our get together. Conducive to conversation and relaxation, the cabin was very comfortable, thoughtfully appointed and close to lots of access to outdoor activities. The hosts were very responsive and gave us great directions. Close enough to Chrisopher Creek for a trip to the little market there and to enjoy one of the restaurants there. I enjoyed my stay, and I would look forward to an opportunity to visit again.

Great Family Cabin

Wow! We really enjoyed staying in this cabin and instantly fell in love with all it had to offer! The main floor was open and had plenty of space to host our family for relaxing, playing games and having our meals. Loved the kitchen area, the refrigerator had soo much space and the dishwasher made clean up easy after meals. The bathroom on the main floor was spacious and had a nice tub/shower with almost instant hot water..very nice! All the beds were very very comfortable and all the other rooms had lots of space and the furnishings were fantastic. Lots of nice touches and helpful details. The real gem (for us especially ) of this property was all the outdoor space..the back patio, all the various sitting areas, the fire pit, the gas grill, the table and umbrella set up was perfect perfect perfect.. we spent so much time on the decks (front and back) and using the outside spaces. I cannot say enough about how nice and how perfect the outdoor space was. The owners were so awesome and very thorough with arrival / check in instructions..including sending some very helpful pictures and helpful tips. Our family will absolutely be back for another stay.
