Large Lakefront Home on Moosehead Lake with Spectacular Beach and Dock
Possibly the best location on Moosehead Lake. Tucked in a protected cove on a small point on the end of a dead end private road, this property with a large yard offers its own private beach as well as an association beach on the other side of the point with a playground, horseshoe pit, barbeque and picnic tables No matter what the wind direction or the time of day, you can find a sunny spot to enjoy the water out of the wind. Bring your boat or seaplane! This home has its own dock. (Note this is a floating dock intended for the docking of boats and not intended for more general use.) If you prefer, enjoy the tandem kayak complete with a third seat for a small child which is available for your use.
On the inside enjoy granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and 3 large bedrooms, in a tastefully decorated home with plenty of windows overlooking the lake 90 feet away where you are apt to see moose and deer enjoying a drink. Be sure to leave the windows open at night to hear the loons!
All this beauty and only 10 minutes from the shops and restaurants of Greenville

Quiet and clean, our family of 4 adults had plenty of room with great views of the lake. Enjoyed sitting by the fire pit mourning and evening Sunsets on the lake looked like a Bob Ross painting.
Host was attentive and great communicator. Just steps from the lake, we loved the long dock, gazing out on the surrounding landscape and canoe paddling. So much good hiking in the Moosehead lake region. Thank you for a great stay!
Loved the location - had a family of loons right out back and loved listening to their songs. Property has community access to a small beach and trails which was nice. Easy to get to town for supplies etc. Owner was super friendly and a big dog lover.
Beautiful house, well stocked with necessities. Easy hassle free checkin and checkout. Tom checked with us halfway through our stay to see if we needed anything as we were the first renters of the season.
The house is exactly as described and the location is amazing. The whole family had room to spread out, the views were beautiful, and the loons sang us to sleep every night. We loved our week here!
We loved the home, it fit our needs perfectly! Tom was very responsive when we needed some extra towels. Our children and grandchildren and granddog just loved the house and the lake front! I thought there was a wood stove, turns out it was a pellet stove. We did have a nice fire outdoors one night before it rained! This was an incredible experience, thank you, Tom!
This lake house had the most beautiful view. The lake is only a few steps off the back deck. There were 2 canoes and a 2 person kayak at the house available for use. It’s only about 10-15 mins to town for anything you need, and about 45 mins to Kokadjo. Past Kokadjo we found several moose throughout our stay. The house was clean, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed during our stay. Tom stopped by to check in and make sure we had everything we needed, and offered some tips for things we wanted to do during our stay, which was so nice. We had a wonderful time here and would highly recommend!! We took your advise on dinner at The StressFree Moose and it was delicious! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!
It was great! Greenville is such a beautiful area and we had perfect weather.
The beach and dock was nice.
Tom was very prompt and helpful with questions.
We would definitely go again!
Thank you Tom!
The house was clean, well kept and well equipped. The canoes and double kayak were perfect for paddling around Beaver Cove. Easy access to both downtown Greenville as well as Lily Bay State park. Only downside is that the water off the dock is too shallow for fishing.
We love this property! It was our second time staying here with family and I can’t wait to go back! The kitchen is quite large and has everything you need. The dining room table was more than large enough to accommodate our family of six adults and one child. We spent most of our time outside by the lake. So pretty and relaxing. It was really quiet midweek. A little busier on the weekend as you would expect on this beautiful lake. We truly enjoyed our stay!

Excellent Moosehead vacation home
The Hopkin's vacation home in Beaver Cove on Moosehead Lake met all of our expectations. The home is roomy and comfortable, and the location on the lake is outstanding. The Cove is well protected from the often windy lake, and while there are some other homes nearby, there is adequate wooded buffer to give a secluded feel. The kitchen was very nice and well equipped. The only negative is lack of cable TV, but there is a DVD player for movies, and the home has wifi. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
Well equipped house with everything needed for a home away from home experience. Well equipped kitchen,(although a few covered containers for leftovers would be a great addition).Good sized bedrooms and baths. Mattresses could use some toppers as they are quit hard. Nice views, fire pit, grills and deck. Also enjoyed the trail and the beach and play/ picnic area at the nearby park. Tom was terrific, took very good care of any needs and was thoughtful about picking up trash after our lobsters so it didn't sit all week. Thanks Tom you will see us again.
Although I was sad that weather did not allow me to enjoy a deep, dark Maine night sky. This house was an excellent location on the lake. Water front and back. A great dock, and use of canoes and a tandem kayak. Took the kayak out as a single and it was definitely a highlight!
The size and layout of the house was perfect for our small group of 3 and 1 dog. Close to downtown Greenville but far enough away that it was VERY quiet and relaxing.
My one criticism is that I think the cleaning company can step up their game. I know it allows pets which is awesome, but could have been a little better attention to detail here and there.
Our family came up and stayed with our dogs. The house was absolutely perfect! Beautiful place to stay and lovely to look out at the lake through the trees. The only suggestion we have would be to try to tighten that floating dock. It's extremely loose and very hard to walk on. Plus it is difficult getting in to the dock from the water since there are so many rocks on each side that you need to make sure you go straight in. We ended up renting a slip at the Marina a few hundred yards away to keep our boat. The beach area is very nice into the water to sit and relax and go swimming. All in all, it is a beautiful spot and home to vacation.
Overall, the space and location gave us a great week away. House is spacious and comfortable and the lake access is great for swimming or boating. Was not prepared for neighbors to be walking by so close to the house, there’s a lakeside path around the peninsula that everyone in the association has access to is my guess, but everyone we met was friendly and overall the privacy was decent given how nearby others were.
Kitchen could use a deep clean - there was a decent bit of grease and stick over a lot of surfaces, floor, and cooking stuff - things needed to be pre-washed a lot before use - and is pretty bare bones on cooking pots, pans, and utensils (we couldn’t find any grill tools and serving and meal prep dishes were limited), but there’s enough to make due for a vacation.
Owner was friendly and welcoming, we bumped into him when we first arrived and he gave us a helpful overview of the space.
Hoping to stay again next year; we had a large group and we were all very content and comfortable the whole week.

Our Favorite Lake House
Beaver Cove and Mooshead Lake is our favorite vacation spot. It's so peaceful and beautiful. This was our third year renting this house. We absolutely love the location and the amenities. The house is very spacious and it was very clean when we arrived. We were vacationing with 3-5 adults and 4 kids and everyone was comfortable. We do bring a couple of blow up mattresses for the kids and set them up in the super large room over the garage. The only complaint we would have is that the mattress on the pull out sofa upstairs is totally shot and nobody got a good night sleep on it. We also bring our own skillet and use it for breakfast and other frying needs, since the frying pans are not in the best shape.
The location of the house is perfect. It's only 15 min to Greenville and close to hiking spots. There is plenty to do and you'll never be bored. The owners are very nice and they always addressed any small problems we would have.
We are looking forward to our next vacation there!!!
