300 acre private family farm guest house...Cozy cove and easy drive to all around.
Have stayed in this cottage for numerous visits. Historic charm with comfort upgrades. Windows open always to creek sounds and cool breezes off the mountain. Two month stay in winter 2010 we did close and turn on heat, but mostly open balmy days. Easy drive to everything we wanted to do. Great place!

About the host
Hosted by Jo Davis
We know that we will live at the farm someday. It isn't our time yet, so we enjoy sharing it with others who long to relax and refresh there.
Why they chose this property
Stewardship in the Davis Family Farm as an heir has always been in our lives. When the time came for us, we decided that the smaller cottage should be our legacy. Two school buildings were brought down the mountain and placed together in 1935 and finished inside by its resident who worked the farm for the great grandfather Zachary Davis. Considerable work makes it the comfortable cozy home that now has a large Master suite, a sunny kitchen (formerly a porch) and large dining room. Little needed to be done to the remaining rooms that had been crafted with wood taken from the farm for interior walls and floors. The huge shady maple tree makes the from porch call for time to sit in rockers.
What makes this property unique
Location! So far from the rush when relaxing on the farm, but so close to all the activities of the mountain vacation spots. Your nightly retreat is the center of your plans for the next days.
