Beautiful farmhouse on a country road makes for a peaceful, relaxing vacation.
Relax with the whole family at this peaceful farmhouse in the country. The property sleeps 6 people in the main house and 3 people in the loft with plenty of room to run around outside or be in the big screen tv room together. On 6 acres, you can enjoy our farmhouse, patio, firepit and guesthouse. Also, our goats and chickens will welcome you to the country where you can enjoy the peaceful surroundings with friends and family. Bocce ball and cornhole available upon request.

The idyllic location to spend a few nights, or get away for a month. Perfect for writers, creatives, artists, and everything in between. Wedding parties, bachelor/bachelorette weekends, and family reunions. Located 15 minutes from Downtown Columbia, 25 minutes from historic Downtown Franklin & Leipers Fork, and 45 minutes from the Nashville Airport. We would love to welcome you to The Waylan. Sit back, relax, and let us take it from here.

Screening room with 120" HD projector with built in audio to enjoy your favorite movies, tv shows or sporting events. Everything on the big screen. Every room features a 55" Smart Tv including: Netflix, Spectrum, high speed wifi on us.

Fully stocked kitchen. Outdoor patio with a large grill. Plenty of space to play corn hole or bocce ball or to just enjoy the fresh air. Also you can sit around the fire pit. Feel free to check the chicken coup in the mornings for eggs. Please just respect the chickens and their environment.

The house features a large dining room table which easily can host 10 people for your next dinner party! The guesthouse has a loft with a Queen and a daybed so all together it sleeps 9 comfortably.

All three bedrooms in the home feature local artisan made headboards, with matching side tables.

Country Retreat

This property is amazing. House is equipped with all modern necessities amid quaint antiques. Loved the quiet setting only 10 minutes out of Columbia. Spent Thanksgiving week here. Great jumping off point for all activities in the area, such as Franklin and Nashville. Greeted by chickens every morning. But the best was the goats that came to visit Thanksgiving morning. Made the trip so memorable. Would definitely recommend.

Built Memories For a Lifetime

Host pays attention to the smallest details to make it very special. Just some quick top memories like making s'mores by the firepit near a barn at night, catching fireflies for the very first time, feeding chickens, petting goats and family movie nights in the entertainment room. Way better than staying at some commercial hotel in the city! Worth every penny.

Perfect place for weekend - Wedding

My family and I stayed at this lovely home for my son’s wedding nearby. It was absolutely perfect. Laura and Jon have gone to great lengths to provide everything we needed for a few nights stay. We enjoyed wonderful conversations in the cozy living room listening to many of their nostalgic albums on the turn table. Access in and out of the house was easy and safe on a cold, snowy weekend away. We were even given the opportunity to interact with their sweet ‘friendly goats’ which was one of the highlights of the trip. If we are back in the area in the future, I’d definitely want to visit again. Very accommodating, comfortable and well furnished. Love this house!
