Great Stay But Need to Understand Communication Style of Host
Pros: house fit our family very well. Bedrooms nice. Large kitchen/dining, and two living areas. The pool was smaller but nice and the hot tub was great; the outdoor area had dining seating and lounge chairs. Four beach chairs were provided. Air conditioning worked well.Logistics: Keys picked up off-site at hotel nearby (by the individual that made booking) located near rental car offices; returned to same upon departure. You are directed to call the office to report any issues; office will then coordinate with the host. If you Google Map, looked for address called Checkers. Two entrances to the property, one open and one gated. There were just enough bath/pool towels provided for each guest (but not extras), and cleaning staff came once during our stay. Cons: the host was not communicative, and instructions lacked clarity. Check-in instructions not sent until the day before arrival. When we reported an issue to the offsite office, we were told to call back to get a response; they did not proactively offer to contact us. Two issues raised were fixed same day, but no proactive sharing of information. Shower pressure in two of the bathrooms was weak. No check-out instructions.Overall, the house was affordable and lovely alternative to the nearby resorts that allowed our family to stay together. Location was great and a two-minute drive to Leeward Beach. This was not the level of communication expected by U.S. rental homes. Otherwise, would have been 5 out of 5 stars
