Amazing house!

Ski vacation

We had a great time visiting Angel Fire. The cabin was spacious. It was in a great location! Minutes from the ski resort. We had plenty of room for 7 people. The rooms and beds were comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with things you need. The bathrooms need to be updated. The appliances in the kitchen need upgrading as well. The appliances all worked though.

Very Convenient

Great location, fully stocked kitchen, no need to buy or bring anything but your food. Good supply of everything provided, really everything you would need is there, dishsoap/papertowels/toilet paper/garbage bags/spices/foil/plastic wrap/baggies/firewood, makes you feel like you are staying with family or friends, very convenient. Lots of deer around all the time, able to feed them out of your hand. Would definitely stay here again!!

Great for two families!

This worked out well for our trip with another family. (One couple upstairs with own bath, one couple down with a bath and the kids shared a bath.)Ping pong in garage gave the kids an activity on their own instead of electronics! Dining table was spacious. Short drive to slopes without the worry of parking.

Just what was needed

This cabin was just what we all needed. Normally we travel, but 2020 has not been normal. The trip helped us feel more normal. The cabin allowed everyone to have some space and still be together. The accessibily aspect was as advertised and for that we are thankful. Our send off on the last day was a mama deer and her 2 babies. A perfect end to a much needed weekend. All of us would be happy to return!

Awesome!

The entire experience was flawless. From booking the property to checking out was very easy and seamless. The house was charming. It had a welcome feeling from the minute you walked in. There was plenty of room for the six of us. The kitchen was awesome. There was enough room for all of us to get in there and cook together. The seating area for dining was perfect. The living area was cozy and there was plenty of seating. The bedrooms were comfortable and gave each of us our private space. But the best part was the location and the view. Pine trees all around us and deer laying peacefully in the front yard. You were far enough away from the activities but close enough to get there . The kids had a wonderful time skiing and the adults had a wonderful time just relaxing. I would definitely suggest this property to anyone looking for a relaxing family vacation.

Loved the location and the house

We loved the location and the house. The view from the living room through the windows was beautiful with and without snow! The house is a short drive to the ski lodge and it was easy to park if you went early. We went for ski school so no problem finding parking. The Country Club near by has an awesome sledding hill near the house that the kids loved. We did go swimming a day but it was more expensive than I thought ($12 for adult and $8 for a kid), but maybe if you swim all day it's worth it, we only stayed a couple hours. We had two families with 5 kids total and had plenty of space. Tons of pillows and blankets and the kids loved the bunk room. Kitchen has everything you need and the people before are nice enough to leave a few condiments and coffee filters so we didn't need to re-buy everything day one. We did drive a mini van and it was a bit dicey getting up the hill in the mud and then later in the snow. We stayed in one day afraid if we went down the hill we would not make it back up as they did not plow the street. If you have AWD or 4 wheel drive you would be totally fine. Would recommend for 2 or even 3 families. Great backyard for kids to play and beautiful views.

A Great Summer Vacation House

My family spent two weeks this summer at this comfortable, spacious house and we all had a wonderful time. The the house is nestled in the trees which makes it perfect for bird and wildlife watching. We even saw deer passing through the property each morning. From the front deck the views of the mountains are spectacular. The house has all the comforts of home, and for those who need to stay connected (like my husband), WIFI and flat screen televisions. There were plenty of dishes, glassware and every kind of cookware and grilling tools you could imagine so dining in was an option, as well as many excellant restuarants in Angel Fire and nearby Taos. The Roasted Clove in Angel Fire is great and we couldn't get enough of Orlando's mexican food in Taos. We enjoyed nature and the outdoors, fly fishing nearby at Cimarron Canyon and Eagle Nest Lake, as well as catching crawdads under the dock at Monte Verde Lake. There is a nice hiking trail less than a mile away, as well the beautiful Cimmarron Canyon State Park with fishing and hiking. The golf course and it's new club house which is open to the public is just a stone's throw away. The house is not too far off the main road so restaurants, groceries and cute shops are close by, but it is on a cul-de-sac of four homes so very little traffic by the house. Our son had been at the Philmont Boy Scout Ranch (less than 40 minutes away) with his Boy Scout Troop on a 12 day Trek, and staying at this great home let us meet up with him at the end of his trek and experience this beautiful scenery and the out of doors with him and also share Philmont base camp and its musuems with him, without sleeping in a tent for 12 nights! This home met our expectations and more! We are definitely going back to this property next year!

Lovely home and location.

We couldn’t be more please with our stay. The house had everything we needed: lots of room for the kids to play, a large kitchen to cook family meals, private baths, comfy beds etc. We had one hiccup with the washer, but the caretaker took care of it right away. We highly recommend the property for families with children as there was room to play in the snow outside. We even found a sledding hill walking distance around the corner that the grandkids enjoyed.

Amazing experience

This place was everything and more! The house was wonderful not as modern but there is nothing like having that cabin feel! We enjoyed the big back deck and the cool game room in the garage along with extra towels, blankets and kitchen was fully equipped. The area is great if you are looking to see a winter wonderland from your back yard this is definitely the most pace to stay, the country club also has a restaurant open in the evening and during the day kids and adults can go sledding for a small fee, playground and other hills or just walking around you will never be bored! We will definitely stay once again thank you so much for sharing your house with us it’s been awesome!!!

We live in beautiful sunny Florida, but it is really hot! We thoroughly enjoy coming to Angel Fire in the summer. We start every day with a cup of coffee on the front porch admiring the beautiful mountains and watching the humming birds fight over the sweet nectar! There is so much to do in this incredible mountain resort, we have trouble deciding. Playing golf, fly fishing, sight seeing & animal viewing are probably our favorite things. We play lots of games, enjoy great food (some cooked at home, but lots out at the various restaurants Angel Fire and the surrounding areas have to offer!), and cap the evening off with an incredible fire during the summer. We call our friends back home and they can't believe we are enjoying cool crisp mountain air while they are home melting! Angel Fire here we come!
We have not been able to visit as often in the Winter, it's a busy time of year for us at home. Last winter we brought the children out skiing. What a blast. We started off on the many green slopes and by the end of our trip were enjoying the blues. Our next door neighbor is an expert skier and can't get enough of the challenging blacks! After a long day of skiing, relaxing with warm beverages, fire building and game playing is a must! Winter is wonderful and so different in Angel Fire compared to Florida. We are definitely making time this winter. :-)

Why they chose this property

Angel Fire has something for everyone! My husband is originally from Texas and grew up vacationing in Angel Fire. Later on, he fished & skied up here with friends. Being from Florida, I had never heard of Angel Fire, NM. He immediately introduced me to this intoxicating slice of paradise!
We love the cool weather, hiking, skiing, biking & the fact that you can still enjoy terrific local and national art, history & fabulous close by!
The views are spectacular & the weather is wonderful.
