Super Convenient

Great location for a quick PCMR vacation. We loved that we could just walk across the lot to ski, walk a short bit to town, and catch the bus right in front of the property. The building was clean and comfortable, everything just worked. If we head back to Park City, this will be on the list for us again.

Relaxing

Would have enjoyed just a little more if the fireplace was gas as opposed to wood.

Honest review - would stay here again

My husband, 10 year old son, and I stayed 3 nights for a quick ski trip in Park City. Overall we were very pleased with the property and would stay again. Pros: Perfect location close to First Time and Payday lifts. Clean, newly renovated condo with all the basics covered. We made breakfast each morning and lunch one day, but ate out for other lunches and dinners. My son said he slept well on the pullout sofa bed. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Hot tub and pool were great. We used the underground parking, but ended up taking the bus into town each night since it stopped right in front of the condo lobby. Cons: Anyone staying here needs to know 2 things. First, the heater is shockingly loud. We had to turn it completely off at night because the sound was unbearable. Fortunately the bedding was warm so we slept comfortably despite a cold room. Second, there is no way to block sun from the overhead angled windows. Not a big issue for us since we planned on getting up around 7 each morning for skiing. If you need a dark room, make sure to bring an eye mask.

Hoping for more

The Silver King as a whole was fine, I would stay again, but there were definitely some issues. First off I didn't love the parking situation. It is a very tight and small underground parking. Full size truck can fit, but not easily! There is a huge outdoor parking on the same property but it's owned by someone else and guests cannot park there. Inside, I was sad to learn the pool wasn't available because that was part of the reason we chose this hotel. We don't even usually swim but I was interested in the indoor/outdoor concept. I didn't see the communication they sent regarding pool closure, until we were in our way. That email did offer change of hotel but that wasn't needed for us since it was more the experience we were looking for, not just a pool. Pool signs said it would be complete Fall 2023, it's currently end of Fall 2024 .. so a year late and that pool looks no where near finish. In room was the best and worst part of the stay.. I always take cleaning supplies to the hotel room. I wipe down surfaces and spray soft fabrics. In this room I had to CLEAN the bathroom. The toilet was gross, dried pee around the bowl and in the seat. Disgusting. The shower had hair on the wall and soap/shampoo residue. I'm sure I could have called the front desk on this, but they told me at check in that they don't have housekeeping so I really don't know what they would have done. I had the supplies to clean it myself, just wish I hadn't had to. The soap and shampoo bottles were grimy, cleaned those too. I was spoiled at a PREVIOUS hotel stay (elsewhere) and was able to use the shower supplies there. I intended to do the same here and the supplies were absolutely horrible. I've never had such cheap soap in my life! The heater didn't work and it was pretty cold The living room TV didn't work the first night and then worked but cut out every few minutes the second night. Once I cleaned everything, we didn't really need TV, and we were able to just sit and chill… room layout, space and available kitchen were nice. Again, we'd stay again but we now know what to expect.
