Magic Place in the Rainforest

Casa Parcha is well worth the effort for a stay. We spent four days in their small ground-level unit. Two glamping tents and one larger house are also on site. The property is amazing, with multiple areas throughout to relax, enjoy the views, and listen to the Coqui frogs at night. We saw a pair of Lizard Cukoos flitting about the tree canopy every morning. Many flowers blooming, making this quite the respite from my still-like-winter existence in the upper Midwest. The accommodations worked well for us. The futon pulled out so we had two separate beds for my co-worker and I. Unit was very clean and had all that we needed to use as a home-base to explore the eastern side of Puerto Rico. Host was friendly and answered all of our questions and was a great resource for local knowledge. We took some of her restaurant recommendations and they were wonderful. All in all, a great stay and a wonderful place to relax, enjoy nature, and get to see more of Puerto Rico.

It's a great place to disconnect from daily life rush and technology and to recconect with nature. No shopping nearby so I recommend to get what you need before plus you will not want to leave the place once you arrive.

Perfect Rainforest Location

We absolutely loved our stay! The location is perfect if you are looking for a rainforest experience. Yesenia shared her knowledge of the area which made our stay even more meaningful. Her response time to one minor glitch was immediate. The accommodations and amenities were more than we expected...Yesenia has thought of everything that makes for a comfortable stay. We would HIGHLY recommend the property and would love to visit again.

The Rainforest Experience

If you ever get a chance to stay in Puerto Rico you must see the one place that has the most diverse ecosystem. The host will greet you with a warm welcome and a tour of the property that is amazing. There is no words to describe the beauty of the grounds and at night the forest is alive with a symphony of sound that will sing you to sleep. We could not recommend a visit to Puerto Rico without and adventure to take home. This is without a doubt a memory we will cherish forever.

Epic rainforest retreat like no other

Yesenia has created the perfect rainforest respite here on her property! This is exactly what we were seeking for a stay in the rainforest- but SO much more. The thoughtful touches, the SUPER comfortable space (ohhh the bed!!!), and immersion in nature will make you want to book multiple nights! Yesenia was extremely punctual and PLEASE wait for her directions for you maps app … we ended up on a very bad road and thankfully had 4WD to get back out—- this was the VRBO app fault because it won’t update her actual location so please wait for HER specific address coordinates.

What a gem! Amazing Views; Amazing Host!

This property has been one of the most unique stays I have ever been in. Our host Yesenia was a phenomenal host since we booked the property; super attentive and quick to answer any of my questions via text. In addition I had read some reviews prior and noted that it was probably in my best interest to get there earlier in the day instead of later, however my friends and I decided to hike a separate part of El Yunque so we got caught getting in to the property late at night. As per one of the reviews it mentioned to follow Yesenia's instructions which we did and got there perfectly fine at night. (Please note I am from Florida and am used to flat roads so driving here was a change for me) Upon arrival I contacted Yesenia and she allowed us in; the property is gated which provided an additional sense of security. The property I believe has about 2 or 3 separate rentals within it. The most surprising part of the property is the view of a nearby waterfall and river. it was beautiful and made us feel so connected to nature and the beauty of Puerto Rico. Thank you Yesenia for making our trip magical!

I was born and raised in the jungle with the river and nature as my playground. As many of us I had a dream that someday would be able to buy a property with a river as my patio and that will be able to share it with travelers from all over the world. Here I am living my dream and sharing my space with beautiful people from all countries. I'm also martial arts professor, former tour guide assistant and a license Puertorrican artisan. My favorite music is the music from nature. My favorite colors are the 50 shades of green from the jungle and nothing gives me more joy than taking a bath at the river, sleep under a million stars roof and dancing in the rain.

Why they chose this property

We are located at El Yunque south side private lands, which is the only tropical rainforest under the U.S Forest Jurisdiction and about 15 minutes driving from the El Yunque South Side entrance. Even though we are surrounded by the forest, rivers, waterfalls as the back yard, and one of the most bigger ecosystem in the world we are very close from the highway and 30 minutes driving from ceiba ferry port to Vieques and Culebra, 20 minutes from la Fanduca beach and 18 minutes from El Malecon de Naguabo which is a boardwalk and fishermen village with a variety of restaurants known as one of the places with the freshest seafood and the house of the best arepas in the Island.

What makes this property unique

By choosing Casa Parcha for your stay you will selecting to experience El Yunque Rainforest South side, one of the most wonderful rainforests and biggest ecosystems in the world. Tropical trees, waterfalls, refreshing ponds and petroglyphs are everywhere and only at a few steps of your bed. Spend the night under a million stars roof listening to the symphony of our coquí and the river flow just as our Taínos Ancestors did.
