The house and property were incredible. Our family of 6 adults had a wonderful time and wish we would have booked our stay here longer. The outside area with pool/hot tub surrounded by cacti is a true oasis. The house is even more beautiful in person. Also, many restaurants and stores are a short 10-15 drive away.
We had a fabulous family meet up here. We put the pool to good use every afternoon after hikes and exploring (much of which we did nearby in the Gates Pass area). Kitchen had all we needed to cook many meals in & we were always able to eat outside on the shaded patio. Beds were comfortable & the property manager was helpful & available. Would definitely recommend this house.
We enjoyed our two week stay. We hiked every day in nearby trails and enjoyed a soak in the hot tub in the beautiful landscaped backyard to unwind. The house met our needs to experience warmth and sunshine in a tranquil setting.
Relaxing and beautiful location, very quiet and perfect for relaxing just minutes from the city. We have stayed a few times around Tucson and this was our favorite location so far. Quiet and very much smack in the middle of the desert with cactus and wildlife around. Host was super helpful and had mostly no need for much interaction as the property was very straightforward and we were greeted on arrival by the host who showed us around the property which was a very nice touch. Hope to be back again as we absolutely love Tucson!
Beautiful house and location... perfectly situated just 8 miles from Old Tucson where we had a mountain bike race. Everything was perfect! Marina reached out to us before we arrived and allowed us to check in a little early. The place is very picturesque ... back yard was super relaxing. ONLY wish we had more time there to enjoy it. They had fire logs we wish we would have used, but with the race we spent most of our time eating or sleeping. Thanks again for a great stay.
Our stay in Tucson was a great getaway from the cold midwest winter. This home is near the entrance to Saguaro National Park where we did some hiking trails and enjoyed the outdoors. The views of the mountains from the home are great. The pool and hot tub look inviting although it was too cold for us to use them. It would be a great house for a large family get together. The house manager Marina was helpful.
We had a lovely time in this extraordinary home for 10 days. It is a very peaceful area, with great views and huge sahuaro cactus in the area. We were 6 adults and one baby. The great grandmother could not make it, which may be for the best due to the steps in the home, and steep drive. But, that is all ok. The kitchen was well stocked- even had a crock pot and sharp knives. We cooked here quite a bit and it worked so well for us. The beds were all comfy. The hot tub so lovely after hiking or a day in town. The Check in tour with Marina was very nice, as there are some quirks in the home- as all homes have- that she pointed out, so it was all a very smooth transition in and out. She was very responsive to a few questions we had, as was the owner. I hope we can go back, Happy New Year!
Our stay here could not have been better. Communication before our trip was thorough and timely, and Marina was there to let us in and show us the house when we arrived. While the house itself was beautiful, comfortable, and well-appointed, the yard/landscaping was spectacular for us "garden types". What perfect surroundings to come home to after a day of activities! Our small dogs were quite at home as well. The location was perfect as well... not far from downtown, and close to the west side of the park for hiking. We would most definitely stay here again!
This home is beautiful and spacious. Lovely landscaping and a view of the city and mountains. The sunrises were especially spectacular. Very quiet neighborhood.
We did have a minor issue with the noise of the pool-pump/waterfall, but the property manager addressed this quickly.
Overall, our stay was highly enjoyable and absolutely deserving of a 5-star rating.
This property was perfect for our girls weekend of rest and relaxation! Beautiful outdoor space, great lounging areas, chef style kitchen and plenty of rooms. The owner and property manager were so nice and helpful! Definitely recommend!
My wife and I travelled to Tucson to celebrate our son's birthday in the city where he now lives.
Staying in Rob's house was a great choice. This is a magnificent property! It's the nicest VRBO that I ever stayed in. It is secluded and very quiet, but only 10 minutes from anything you may need like grocers, pharmacies, etc.
We flew into PHX, it was about a 100 minute drive. We had family from NY, CO and OH fly into Tucson...it was only about 20 minutes to TUS each way to pick them up.
Next visit, we will try to fly to TUS instead of PHX.
Next visit, we will try to stay in Rob's house again. Hanging in the great-room or around the pool/spa was extraordinary. The night views from the master bedroom balcony are outstanding.
I have absolutely nothing bad to say about our experience. Everything was perfect. Rob is a great owner/host!
It was a wonderful week in the Sonoran desert with our scattered family!
(It sucks to be back in Ohio in November!)
My wife and I were looking for a property that was exceptional in location, indoor space, outdoor spaces, private and quiet. This property exceeded our expectations in all catagories. We greatly appreciated the communication with the host prior to arrival.Time on the balcony in the mornings and evenings for views of the city lights and sunrise with no traffic noise ensures a return visit for us.
Property was fantastic. We travel a lot and therefore rent a lot, and this was one of my facorite properties we've rented. The home itself is gorgeous and private, plenty of space and well appointed. Pool and patio were gorgeous, and the views were spectacular. 100% would rent again!
Our stay at this Tucson property was awesome. The property is exactly as advertised. It is located in a quiet area on the west side of the city in the foothills. The interior is decorated beautifully and has all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The views from the master bedroom balcony were fantastic and where we watched the sunrise enjoying our coffee. The pool/hot tub area is beautiful and where we spent every afternoon and evening. Lots of birds and butterflies on the property. Lots of opportunities for morning walks via the roads leading back through the development. Short drive to Gates Pass, Tucson Mt Park, Saguaro Natl Park, and the Desert Museum. The host, Marina, was super nice and helpful in explaining the details of the property. Would definitely stay at this property again!
Beautiful house, neighborhood, pool, location--not one bad thing to say (and nothing but good things to say!). Also, Rob (owner) and Marina (house manager) are the two most incredible hosts I have ever dealt with. Our first night at the house there was a horrible storm that knocked out the power and created some other problems at the house (none of which obviously were Rob or Marina's fault). However, they were in constant contact with me and literally worked through the night to get the problems resolved. They were incredible. Cannot recommend this place more highly.
This property near Tucson Mountain Park was a brilliant choice for us. Our party of 10 family members were able to congregate, for a special function, in one place, rather than trying to navigate hotel rooms in the same area, and meet-ups over the span of six days. Marina met us on our first day and was a delight, as well as very accommodating with our questions, requests, and comments over the week. This, along with the well-appointed kitchen, closets, and bedrooms, set the tone for us to be able to relax and enjoy our family’s rare company, rather than having to seek out necessities in town. We definitely enjoyed lounging in and around the pool. The shade provided by the beautiful landscaping, as well as the house, in the mornings and evenings, made it possible to swim without the July sun being too merciless. The a/c and fans inside the house got a workout, but were up to the task of keeping everyone comfortable. Seeing as most of us came from OR, MN, and CO, this was paramount. Where the property truly shone was in its placement in the Sonoran Desert landscape. The wildlife is spectacular. It's always a bit nerve-wracking to pick a rental that will make everyone happy, especially without a personal recommendation, but this gem was a lucky find that ticked all the boxes for us. Close enough to groceries, the University, museums…but far enough away from the crowded neighborhoods to make you feel like you are truly getting away from it all.
This home was beautiful. Well stocked, very clean and everything worked great. There were seven of us and everyone one had plenty of room. We all enjoyed the beautiful pool area since it was 101 degrees while we were there. Very quiet and nice neighborhood. Check in was easy and Marina gave us a tour of the house. We have stayed in quite a few Vrbo's and thought this was one of the best. We were ages 11-81 and we all agreed we hated to leave. Thank you for sharing this wonderful home with us!
Our stay was perfect. Lots of room. Comfy beds. Dogs welcome. Soft living room carpet for the kiddos to play on. Heated pool. Nice early morning neighbor walk. Close by hiking trails.
Twenty minute drive to Desert Sonoran Museum.
Very friendly host and support staff. We hope to use the house for another family gathering next year. Not one thing wrong!!
We had a wonderful stay with family celebrating our granddaughters graduation from UofA. Property manager Marina was very helpful and the house was well stocked. Enjoyed lounging around the beautiful Saguaro cactus landscaped yard. A beautiful location!
Five adult women friends enjoyed our week-long stay here. The house was clean, comfortable, roomy, beautiful. Host and caretaker were very responsive to any concerns we had (not that we had many). It's in a quiet location with very little traffic and great views of Tucson in the distance and of the mountains. Beds and furniture very comfortable. Large, clean garage. Kitchen had everything we needed. The hot tub and pool are on a lovely, private patio. We recommend this property!
Lovely home and property with privacy and views. Great location on the west side of Tucson, very near Tucson Mountain Park and the hiking from the house is excellent. The on-site manager was very helpful and responsive. Would definitely stay here again.
