If you love nature, this is the best place to stay in the area! It's off the beaten path and perfect! The home was acceptionally clean and has a lot of character. Loved it and highly recommend it!
Our adult family of five found the accommodations very suitable for our needs. The host are very responsive and attentive to any of your requests.I would definitely rent it again and recommended to anyone wanting a full-size home and kitchen with a large number of appliances to use and utensils.
It’s was a good distance from town so it really felt secluded and was nice and quiet. We saw and feed deer, birds and rabbits. It was nice sitting in the porch with coffee in the morning watching the wildlife as well as in the evening. Everything was clean and the linens were well stocked. The master bed was too firm, but that’s personal preference. We’d love to stay here again!
The house was beautiful and clean with a large kitchen and dining table. We loved sitting outside and viewing all the stars. We will definitely return to this house next time we visit the hill country.
My mom and sister and I take a girls trip every spring. This house was a wonderful location. The screened porch was a comfortable place to watch the deer (11!) and hummingbirds, redbirds, and finches. The kitchen was modern and well stocked for our meals together. The table was large for games and crafts. The beds were comfy and I appreciated a walk in shower for my mom.
We enjoyed our time at the house it’s very clean ,comfortable and relaxing, spend the afternoon on the back porch watching deer in the fields, will definitely book again next time we’re in comfort
We really enjoyed our stay. The property was in excellent condition and equipped with everything we needed and more. The kitchen, fireplace and screened porch were favorites for us. The relaxed, peaceful atmosphere of the home and surrounding area make
The house is quite nice. I want the kitchen, plenty of outdoor space with a large screened in porch. It's a drive out to it on the Old San Antonio Route. Close to the bat cave in which is an old train tunnel worth seeing. Would rent again
We were really blown away by the beauty of the property and the house. Very secluded with the nearest town 20 minutes or so away, we saw tons of deer during the day and stars at night. Was just what we needed to get away from city life for a few days. The house is very well furnished and they even had a decorated Christmas tree up for us to enjoy. Thank you so much for letting us stay at your beautiful home!
The house was clean and accomodating. The location is wonderful. The night sky is great. Its close enough to Fredricksburg to enjoy the town. The old tunnel state park is just down the road.
Oyr family had a wonderful time in Fredericksburg. So much to do and see. Our accommodations were grest! The house was beautiful and having a screened in pirch was a bonus!
I definitely recommend staying here.
The property was just as advertised, it was clean and comfortable.
The screened in back porch was my favorite place to sit quietly and take in the hill country view.
It had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay.
This home is like walking into the comfort of your own home. It is fully equipped with anything you may possibly need to enjoy a secluded getaway. The home is surrounded by beautiful hills and is just off of the main roadway. It is a scenic 12 mile drive to Fredericksburg. The large screened in rear porch is perfect for morning coffee and evening gatherings. The living area and fireplace are perfect for warming up. The hospitality is unmatched and you will not want to leave to go back to the reality of city life...
The house is beautiful and has so much more than you could need. It has a huge, fully-stocked kitchen and a large dining table. The screened-in sun porch is a fabulous place to hang out. We saw lots of deer on the property.

Unfortunate Stay
We rented this house to stay in for my daughter's wedding in Comfort. House listing says it is in Comfort, but it is a good 15-20+ minutes away. The floors were filthy. There were 3-5 dead scorpions on the floors. We had to sweep the entire home as there were dead insects and dirt all over the floor and under the beds. We have photos of what was swept up. Secondary bath tub did not look clean and the shower in this bath did not work so we all had to use the master shower. Carport floor was very dirty and we were tracking in bugs and debris from the carport into the house. Utility room had a terrible odor. I would like the owners to consider a partial refund as the secondary shower did not work and our stay was most disappointing.

About the host
Hosted by Jenna Seymour
My husband and I both grew up in the Texas Hill Country. We first become hosts when we posted my Dad's cabin about 5 years ago. We have enjoyed meeting people from Texas, around the US and even other countries. It's a pleasure to share the beautiful hill country with others.
Why they chose this property
Omie's house is a secluded country home with limited view of neighbors no closer than 1/2 mile away. Gorgeous back porch view of the family "hill" with lots of wildlife, clear skies and country peace.
What makes this property unique
This property has been in the "Jung" family since the mid 1800s. They came to the US from Germany arriving in the Galveston port in 1845 just before the Republic of Texas joined the United States in 1946.
