We really enjoyed our 3 night stay in cabin. Cabin was extremely clean and in a great location. We really enjoyed hot tub. Cabin located in a very private and peaceful location, yet close to stores and restaurants. We will definitely be back.
I would not recommend this host or this property!! My family drove 7 hours to stay here, just to arrive and see that the host had double booked it. We had received communication from the host and the entry code, so we figured all was well. Thank god we did not enter the property at night and frighten the other renters. The property is dirty, unkept, and is not worth the price that is charged. Like other people have said, even cheap motels will provide you with linens. For this price, you can find much better, clean cabins alongside the river. The host had completely ruined our family vacation and left us stranded with nowhere left to go, without a modicum of remorse. Patricia has not gone out of her way to accommodate us or apologize for this mishap, and she has been the worst VRBO host we have encountered yet.
Everything was lovely and clean. The one thing that made our trip less than perfect was that the owners don't provide sheets and linens. They are very up front about it, and didn't try to hide it. However, even dumpy motels provide clean sheets. It seems like it should be something that is provided. It just complicated our travels since we were coming from Texas.
The host was very helpful. I planned a weekend getaway to surprise my BF with for his bday. The host helped answered so many questions I had. The whole process was so easy check in and out. We will definitely stay again. Our favorite parts were fishing on the river and the hot tub.
Very clean and welcoming! Lots to do, river access fireput and hot tub. Also provided a grill to cook out. Plenty of chairs to just sit, tall and take in the beautiful views. Communication with owner was great and she even has a guest book other guests have left reviews in so you can see how everyone else enjoyed theirselves. Would absolutely stay again!!
Only complaint were the beds.. very springy and uncomfortable.. but there was a futon in the living room so we used that and it worked perfectly!
Beautifully situated on the Shenandoah River. No linens or towels provided, but not an issue for us to bring our own. Super quiet area. We would stay again if back in the area.
Beautiful property! Quite place right on the river! Just minutes away from the Luray Caverns! Would highly recommend to anyone and would definitely stay again!
Enjoyed our stay. Location is perfect! Close to everything, but still secluded. House is small, but nice. Did not use the hot tub due to water odor, but didn't feel we missed out. Spent as much time as possible on the water with our kayaks. Great spot to launch and explore the river.
the mountains and the river reminded me of my childhood home in my country
a nice place, maybe not everything was perfect since nothing is, but it was worth driving 3 hours to get there. my wife very happy and my daughter did not want to return home
My husband, two dogs, and I have stayed in this cabin several times now and find it to be so relaxing and lovely. It is at the top of a hill which leads down to the Shanandoah River. It’s wonderful just to sit on the porch and watch the river go by. The owner, Patricia, is very accommodating and friendly. The property is close to Luray and all of its attractions. Be sure to stop for ice cream at Flotzie’s near Walmart! The Luray Zoo is great for a few hours visit, and of course there are the Caverns! Bear Mountain zip lines, Downriver Canoe Co, and horseback riding at Jordan Hollow Stables are also super fun activities! The drive into the spectacular Shenandoah National Park along the Blue Ridge Parkway is also a “don’t miss!” Be sure to try the locally made blackberry ice cream, available in several places in the park!
This is by far our favorite place to stay when visiting Luray, Virginia! The cabin, right on the bank of the Shanandoah River, is indeed cozy, and has wonderful views. It is close to everything you would ever want to do, and the large yard is great for our dogs to run and play! The other two cabins on the drive cannot be seen from this cabin, so you feel like you are alone in a beautiful mountain setting! Even when it rained, we enjoyed sitting out on the front porch watching the hummingbirds at the feeder and the river rolling by! We definitely recommend this beautiful vacation cabin, and will be back again and again!
Wonderful location for visiting Shenandoah NP, Shenandoah River State Park and George Washington National Forest. Beautiful, comfortable cabin with hot tub great for soaking away any pains from a week of hiking! Fully equipped kitchen if you need spices other than salt and pepper bring it with you, remember your linens! Very grateful we had the opportunity to stay here, it suited our needs very well.
Excellent location along the Shenandoah River with easy access for fishing, viewing wildlife( we saw deer, bald eagle, hummingbirds ) while sitting on the front porch. Caught many fish, released all bass, perch .. We had many excursions planned to the Shenandoah National Park -Skyline Drive, New Market Battlefield, Luray Caverns and this was a perfect location for the sightseeing. It was secluded but also stores/ restaurants were within five minute drive. The owners had a nice book prepared listing the variety of restaurants and stores availalble in the area. There was a nice screened in porch with hot tub but we did not use . the only bad was the water was not drinkable due to strong iron./sulphur content but we always have drinking water with Would definitely recommend and use again.
Peaceful and relaxing! The river was the perfect spot to send the husbands to fish across the driveway and us ladies could relax in the hot tub or sit ion front porch rocking in the chairs. Still had cell signal in case needed too. Cabin was cozy and perfect with all the extras needed.
It's a perfect location if you want some peace and quiet.
It's perfectly located. Surrounded by mountains and trees with a shenandoah river at your feet. You can grill( bring your own charcoal)and have bonfires and just enjoy the nature. It's located only a few minutes from a local grocery store, daisy Duke museum is right next door. Luray caverns and shopping plaza with Walmart for all your needs are only couple miles away and shenandoah river outfitters is the place to go if you want to kayak, water raft, tube. It was about 25 min drive. We absolutely loved the place, and hope to be back.
This cabin was a true gem. It is very secluded and serene, but yet, close to supermarkets and restaurants. The sunrise view from the front porch was spectacular and the Shenandoah River at the bottom of the hill was a treasure. The hot tub was the icing on top of the cake. Patricia is a lovely person. We were fortunate to meet her. What a sweet, attentive, and accommodating host. We look forward to returning in the future!

About the host
Hosted by Patrica Price
Harry and Patricia said their vows in 2010, at the Foggy River Lodge. The land that the three properties are located on were owned by Harry's family, and passed down to him. Both Harry and Patricia have resided in Luray all of their lives.
Why they chose this property
Because the property was once owned by Harry's parents, it is very special to him and Patricia both. They put a lot of their time into the cabins to be sure the family's, couples, or individuals staying there have a positive experience.
What makes this property unique
The views of the Shenandoah River and multiple mountains are breathtaking. The peace and tranquility of the area are what truly makes it an amazing stay.
