Fair Recompense is one of the larger condominiums available in Angel Fire. It is two story with airy high ceilings. Enjoy either of the cozy living areas, the gas fireplace, the spacious deck, and the new comfortable beds. Take advantage of the secure bike storage on the deck, and the secure ski/board storage in the heated indoor storage area at the building entrance.
SLEEPING: Our mountain retreat sleeps 10 in comfort. All mattresses are new in 2024 and we use unscented detergent throughout. There are two bedrooms on the main level, each with a queen-sized bed, an attached full bathroom, and blackout blinds. The loft upstairs sleeps 6 with flexibility. There are two twin-over-full bunk beds along with a sofa bed. There is a huge full bathroom attached to the loft with a jetted tub and walk-in shower. Bedrooms and bathrooms are fully stocked with pillows, linens/blankets, towels, shampoo and body wash, hair dryers, and hand soap.
LIVING AREAS: The main living area has a cozy couch across from the gas fireplace along with a pair of comfy recliners. The large TV has surround sound for enjoying movies to their fullest. The loft has sofa facing another large TV and a table in front of the huge bay window for playing board games or just hanging out. There’s a desk overlooking the main floor living area for when you need to get work done.
KITCHEN AND DINING: Our freshly remodeled kitchen is great for people that enjoy cooking. It features all new appliances including a convection oven. We make sure there are plenty of utensils and it is well stocked with quality pots, pans, knives, and even spices. We’re coffee snobs and include a coffee grinder and a top-tier drip coffee maker. The dining table seats 6 and there is seating for 3-4 more at the bar top.
ENTERTAINTMENT AND TECH: Each TV includes a Roku, bring your own login. There is free fiber based Wifi throughout the property.
PARKING: There is plenty of parking at the unit, but no garage. There is a 50kW EV charger at the library, a very short walk away. The ski locker for your skis, boards, boots, and muddy bike gear is in the East entryway. Although there is a bike rack in the entryway, if you love your bikes as much as we do, you’ll take advantage of our balcony bike storage for security.
OTHER DETAILS TO KNOW:
We keep a two wheeled dolly in the guest closet. If you pack totes, the dolly works great for getting your stuff from your vehicle, up the elevator, and up the handful of stairs.
There is no Air Conditioning in our condo, or really anywhere in Angel Fire. To cool things off, open the windows and the sliding back door. Turn the ceiling fan on. It will cool down very well over night and generally remain cool with the fresh mountain air drifting through.
The loft is fantastic for kids, but they do require some supervision. We do not recommend allowing young children or toddlers up there, especially not alone. There is a gate at the top of the stairs that can be secured with a Velcro strap to help keep the kiddos safe. Please make good decisions!
