This is a beautiful home, the pictures don't do it justice. This home has everything you need to have a great vacation. The kitchen is fully stocked, washer and dryer also available. We also enjoyed the pontoon, fire pit (wood provided) with plenty of chairs provided. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a lake getaway!
This property was a great place to enjoy a relaxing vacation with family.
The grounds and the house were immaculate. The house has two separate living areas, which was great when it was time to end the day. The owner is very responsive.
We brought paddle boards which the kids used each day. Hindsight, we should have rented them from the property owner rather than packing and toting ours. The price, very inexpensive, to rent the paddle boards/ kayaks onsite is worth paying rather than hauling everything as we did.
Our family from Rockford visited and they were amazed at the amount of space and the size of the property. One family member said she will reach out to her girlfriends and hopefully book a girls weekend here.
We enjoyed our time and will re-book if we have an opportunity to return to the area.
Amazing place to spend a week with family! What a beautiful property, we had so much fun fishing, kayaking, boating, and relaxing on the beach. The lake is very mucky and weedy but that didn't bother us, we had tons of giggles sinking in the muck and screaming when the weeds tickled our toes, plus it made for awesome fishing. The youngest caught a 9 inch bluegill off the end of the dock with a princess fishing pole! John was very responsive and friendly answering our questions and getting the pontoon ready for us. Everything was very clean.
This was a GORGEOUS cottage & the owner's spared no expense - from the chocolates left on the beds to the "bible" (we called it) that explained how everything on the property worked, we lacked in absolutely nothing during our stay. We had a WONDERFUL time, but there were a couple things that could have been better - 1) we are 10 ladies from, high school. When we get together we are LOUD, sometimes very inappropriate & we look for places that are away from other people. This was marketed as a very secluded place on 4 acres. When we arrived, we could see neighbors on either side & the "bible" told us quiet time was at 9pm! This should have been stated on the app - we would have chosen somewhere else to stay. I am sure the neighbors were glad when we left, even though we did try to be quiet. 2) the lake was not very clean. It was mucky & not something anyone really wanted to be in. I am sure it was fine if you rented the pontoon & went out swimming in the middle of the lake, but for a bunch of middle aged ladies getting on a raft in the shallows, this was NOT ideal. Kids probably wouldn't care, either, but we did. Overall, this was a GREAT place to stay. If it had a hot tub or in ground pool on site it would have been absolutely incredible (but that's just us old ladies) The biggest thing was trying to be quiet/behave while we were away from our families being kids ourselves. It was tough, and we really thought the 9pm quiet time should be conveyed when booking.
We had such an amazing time! The property was very clean, so many fun amenities-the boat, kayaks and paddle boards were so nice to have right there! Our family created such special memories this past weekend! John was very responsive throughout it all! Already looking to book next year!
We needed a place to gather with 3 generations of family in central Michigan. This brand new house with plenty of room to roam provided everything we needed. We enjoyed kayaking and rented the pontoon for a day. Gathering around the fire pit allowed for special conversations, too. Loved the privacy with such a large lot.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at a house in Trufant for a weekend getaway, and I must say, it was an absolutely incredible experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality.
The house itself was nothing short of a dream. It was spacious, beautifully decorated, and had all the amenities one could ask for. The attention to detail was evident in every corner, from the cozy fireplace to the luxurious bedding. It truly felt like a home away from home.
The location of the house was also perfect. Situated in the charming town of Trufant, we were surrounded by picturesque scenery and peaceful serenity. It was the ideal escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.
One of the highlights of our stay was the outdoor area. The house had a stunning patio with comfortable seating and a breathtaking view. We spent hours enjoying the fresh air, sipping on our favorite drinks, and soaking in the beauty of nature. It was a truly magical experience.
The host of the house was incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was perfect. They provided us with helpful recommendations for local attractions and dining options, making our experience even more enjoyable.
Overall, I cannot recommend this house in Trufant enough. Whether you're looking for a romantic weekend getaway or a family vacation, this house is the perfect choice. It offers comfort, luxury, and tranquility all in one package. You won't be disappointed ❤️
This beautiful home / property has everything you need to have a beautiful relaxing vacation.
The use of the pontoon boat was perfect to take our grandkids fishing. We had a great family weekend getaway. Plenty of room for multiple families to stay together. You won’t be disappointed!!
