Starshine Cottage - Geneva on the Lake - Renovated and Ready to Rent

Starshine is a two-bedroom Sears and Roebuck cottage that was constructed in 1950. It was completely restored and renovated to better-than-new condition in 2013.

Bamboo floors, comfortable modern furnishings, ceiling fans, lots of windows, and the beautiful surrounding woods make this the perfect getaway cottage.

Starshine is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood on the east end of the Geneva-on-the-Lake strip (Ohio's oldest resort town). It is one block away from the beautiful waters of Lake Erie and the Township Park, and one block from the fun and excitement of the Geneva-on-the-Lake strip.

Starshine is a two-bedroom cottage with a queen bed in each room, and there is one bathroom with a shower. Bed linens and pillows are provided; bath towels, wash cloths, toiletries and beach towels are not provided. Full-size kitchen is equipped with all cookware and dishes. Maximum of four guests, please. Starshine is situated on two large private lots, with plenty of room for lawn sports. No smoking. No pets.

We enjoyed the quiet little cabin. The cabin was a little warm, could not adjust the air, but the bedrooms had window A/C's so that was nice. We did not take advantage of the grill or fire pit due to doing other activities, but it was nice to have it there. I loved sitting on the covered porch in the morning and evening. Would definately recommend.

Great little place for a girls weekend

It was in a great neighborhood and the host was great to work with. The beds were not the most comfortable but it was just fine for our weekend stay. We loved the front screened in porch for eating breakfast in the morning. Overall a great place to stay.

Perfect Location

Starshine was perfect for my husband and I. Close enough to the lake and the strip to walk but far enough away from all of the action to have a peaceful and private stay. The cottage was very clean and the kitchen was well equipped.

Making memories with friends

Spent the weekend with my husband and 2 of our best friends making more memories. We loved the house. It was small but nice and clean. We loved walking to the strip, enjoyed some adult beverages and live music at a few of the bars. Did some shopping and the guys enjoyed some golf. The only complaint is the pillows on the beds were not so comfortable, they were flat and hard. Thank you for allowing us to rent your home. We all had a great time!

Comfy little cottage

Very comfy. Everything you need in the kitchen is there to use. Bedrooms were small but we expected that. Bed was very comfortable. Window air conditioner was enough to cool the cottage. Loved the neighborhood. Very peaceful but within walking distance of everything

Fun in the Sunshine

It was a darling little cottage, very clean, neat , simple on a pretty lot, close enough to town, lake. Have to admit as hot as blazes the days we were there and we would have given our right arms to have a pool to get into. Just a little suggestion maybe a stackable washer, dryer . Otherwise really perfect! Thank you

Quaint Cottage Getaway!

My husband and I spent two days here and loved the location of this cottage. It is within walking distance of the lake to watch the sunset where they have live entertainment on Tuesdays. Also within walking distance of the Geneva strip. We had dinner at Firehouse Winery right down the street while listening to live music and watching the sunset. The cottage was in a quiet location and we enjoyed a fire outside one night. So much to see and do nearby. Short drive to many wineries. The cottage was stocked with everything we needed and the host let us know in advance what we would need to bring for our stay. The only thing we would have appreciated was a curtain on the bathroom window. It mostly faces the woods but still would have given us comfort to have some kind of covering.

Girls getaway

Property was clean. Interior is dated but kept. It seems to be a nice neighborhood on the outskirts of the main drag of the town. Manageable walking distance to the strip. Owner is nice and accommodating. Towels, washcloths, and hand soap are not included but would be a nice amenity. Overall, I would give it a thumbs up.
