Only a 5-minute drive to the happenings downtown! This unique apartment is situated in a quiet, pet-friendly neighborhood. The large, private patio (covered) with hot tub (not available between 11/15-4/15), overlooks a wooded backyard to the Asheville Municipal Golf Course's 15th fairway. Convenient location to the Biltmore Estate, Blue Ridge Parkway (Folk Art Center), Black Mountain, most attractions and major highways. The bedroom has a queen-size bed. The sofa sleeper in the den is a double. Even though people don't normally come to AVL to eat in, this eat-in kitchen has a full-size refrigerator, double sink and microwave plus 2-burner hot plate, crock pot, electric skillet, and toaster/oven. Washer & dryer (detergent provided.) All linens, kitchenware, paper goods, shower toiletries provided---basically, bring your toothbrush, clothes and groceries.

I grew up in southern Iowa in the wonderful little (5,000 pop.) town of Chariton. Ive mived around and tried different careers in my professional life. 1st--Moved to Santa Barbara, Calif where I worked as a travel agent/event planner. After getting married, we moved to Atlanta and had children, then we moved back to Iowa where I finished college and taught ESL (English as a Second Language). I moved to Asheville in 2012 to start a fresh, new chapter in my life. I LOVE IT HERE! Operating my wonderful vacation apartment is a huge blessing! It allows me ample time to follow another interest--real estate. I obtained my real estate license in 2019, associated with Weichert Realtors, and have been active in the market ever since.
I enjoy being outdoors walking in the forests and kayaking on the French Broad River. Going out to eat is another favorite pastime--so many restaurants to choose from; I want to try them all! I love being a Homeaway host and meeting new people from...everywhere! It's a special pleasure of mine to see that my guests are comfortable and happy. I plan to stay here in my 'forever' home and keep up the apartment until they cart me off. I hope you'll give it a try--I believe you'll enjoy staying here! I'm looking forward to meeting you.

Why they chose this property
This was the 3rd house I saw when house hunting and immediately felt it was for me. Ilove having the golf course next to my backyard. (Any a few are situated this way in the neighborhood) However, the idea of an apartment in the lower level came about a year later when Airbnb was started. This place is so special, I love sharing it!
What makes this property unique
I loved how the wooded lot backs up to the golf course and is situated so that it's close but visually separated from neighbors. The location is awesome-close to downtown and easy access to anywhere youre olanning to go!
