We had a great stay!

The house was great! It a perfect central location to base out while in AK. Geri was great and even gave us the heads up when Denali was visible, I’m not sure we would have saw it without her. Wonder house and I do recommend it.

Wonderful, a must see view and a beautiful rental. The perfect vacation rental!

We had an extended family vacation over Christmas in the Bear Den with family from out of state (we live off road out by Skwentna and the river was unsafe for travel, so we found ourselves needing a place to stay in town for their visit.) Canoe Lake Chalet was everything we hoped for; comfortable, well stocked, beautiful view, and close to everything. The owners were friendly, communicative, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to everyone! Great viewing for Northern lights!

First time to Alaska

We had a wonderful summer trip for our first time to Alaska. This home adding so much to our vacation. Our son lives in Fairbanks but he wanted to stay near Palmer because of the great location to so many sights. We were so excited to find a place on a lake with amazing mountain views. The home was very comfortable and amazingly stocked. Its so nice to have a place that feels like home so you can just enjoy your family. We cooked several meals there and even grilled steaks on the patio. Geri was wonderful to work with and made sure we had everything we needed. I would love to stay there again.

Beautiful house.

I didn’t realize the lake was such a climb to the house. Some of our family weren’t able to go to the lake. House was beautiful and kitchens were fully stocked.

Instant Relaxation

As soon as we walked into the house, we knew we had made a great choice. The owner Geri was so easy to work with to arrange the rental, as well as being ever so helpful with touring suggestions. The house is well outfitted with all the amenities one could want. The rooms are cozy and comfortable and well equipped. On our last night we built a fire in the backyard fire ring and toasted marshmallows. Easy access to the airport from here.

Trip of a lifetime!

Canoe Lake Chalet was a great place to stay for our Alaskan vacation. There were 7 of us and we had plenty of room. Everything was clean and well taken care of. Geri went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. We used this as our homebase while we explored Alaska. Geri gave us great advice on must see locations. We definitely enjoyed roasting marshmallows and sitting around your fire pit! If we ever do get to go back to Alaska, I'd definitely stay here again. Thanks Geri and Kevin, we had a great time!

Can't wait to visit again..

We arrived with our 4 kids to a little slice of home wrapped in woods and front row view of canoe lake. Geri the owner went over and beyond in hospitality with us and was always there if we needed anything, but gave us our privace to enjoy our stay. The description and pictures doesn't do the place justice, its gorgeous, clean and very well maintained. The best part of our stay at Canoe Lake Chalet is that it was VERY kid friendly, from sledding to ice fishing, we will definitely make it a MUST to visit in the summer. I would recommend this place to family and friends, Geri will always stick out in our mind as a true, giving Alaskan woman! t

Amazing stay at Canoe Lake Chalet

This house was perfect for our group of 7. Three adults, 2 teens, 2 kids. Everything was well stocked. The view is amazing. The lake was awesome with plenty of trout caught. Row boat, canoe, kayaks were wonderful. Kitchen has everything you need. Grilled on deck every night. Made it to Denali NP and back in one long day-worth it. Plenty of room in the house. We rode bikes that were there for us. We would love to return. Geri gave us tons of useful tips onnwhat to see and do. Wonderful rental experience—thanks Geri!

All of it

When I asked my grandchildren (and children) what was the best experience in Alaska, the answer was always ALL OF IT!! We had a nine day vacation for 12 people and we all agreed it was the best vacation ever. Geri was great in helping plan activities for all to enjoy, and sharing what were the must do activities and the weather cooperated perfectly. We rented the entire house and our grandchildren who do not live close to each other had a wonderful bonding time. I rent VRBO a lot and this was the most well-stocked house we have ever stayed. We all want to return to Alaska. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home.

Magical place:)

Beautiful home, exactly as described. Comfortable with everything you need. Grocery stores nearby. Close to Anchorage, Palmer and Wasilla. Great views of lake and mountains. Great time to visit Alaska is in the Spring in late March/ April weather is perfect, less tourists, winter sports, and best of all no bugs. Owner was very helpful with everything we needed. We were able to drive North to Talkeetna, did a Glacier tour, an experience of a lifetime. Drove south to Homer where we went fishing and caught three 30lb King Salmon, what a thrill! The owners will guide you and help you find great excursions. Skying is nearby as well as a Wildlife preserve where you can see Brown Bears feeding. This was one of our best vacations ever:)

Perfect home for a big family

We were so fortunate to have been able to spend 5 glorious nights in Canoe Lake Chalet. The house was fully stocked with such things as: pans, spices, and kitchen needs; an assortment of boats, hiking poles and bikes; games and videos; binoculars; and enough beds, futons and sofas to accommodate our group of 14. Our family was so thrilled with the location on the lake, that they went right down to fish as soon as we arrived from the airport (at 4 am). We had the entire house and felt it was best to put our mother on the first floor (in the beautiful suite) due to mobility issues and the steps. It was a great choice for her. We would 100% stay here again if we come to Alaska on a vacation. Geri and Kevin are gracious and caring hosts.

Spacious Home

The grandchildren really enjoyed the spacious home, the lake for ice fishing, and skating, and the hill for sledding. We caught lots of fish. They thought it was nice of the owner to decorate for the Holidays before we arrived. We were told to be aware of our noise level as there were renters in the lower level. We tried our best. We were never told we were too loud so we must have succeeded. It's hard to keep the noise level down when you have 5 children with you! Our host was always in contact with us during our stay but not obnoxious. I suppose she could have thanked us after our stay for renting from them. I think that would have been a nice gesture. Overall, everyone enjoyed the stay. Pretty much everything you would have at your own house or wish to have was available for us. The house has a lot of knickknacks so that is a little hard for children not to touch. Especially, for children who do not have those things in their own home. We gawked at the mountain views and the eagles. The home was easy to find. The grown children live in Anchorage and were delighted to find trails to use in the summer that were near to the property where we stayed. Thank you for the availability of this property.

Perfect Alaskan getaway!

Perfect Alaskan getaway! Our family stay could not have been better. Everything was exactly as advertised and we had the most comfortable and enjoyable stay at the chalet. Everything we could have needed was there and the place accommodated our large family wonderfully. We had so many rave reviews from our traveling family members about the chalet.
