Warm and cozy Thanksgiving getaway

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy house. We spent Thanksgiving away from home, and it was perfect! The house is beautifully decorated and well equipped. The fire pit family gathering area was not only a great feature but a great idea for our own house. The hosts (Ray and Sam) were super accommodating and responsive. We will be back!

Comfortable weekend

Very pleased with the weekend we just spent at the cottage. Very much as advertised - clean, comfortable, well cared for. Property was in great condition and well equipped for those wanting to cook. Beds comfortable, linens and towels new. WiFi strong. Would be happy to stay there again.

Exactly What it looks like - perfect getaway

100% clean. Like everything CLEAN. Carpet, sheets, fridge, freezer, no odor in washer dryer, no specks or spots on plates or cups, no dust ANYWHERE, gentle smell of CLEAN everywhere, truly clean all over in every nook and cranny. Really really good attention to detail: a little bit of food/treats if you need something quick, smores packs AND skewers, wood and starters AND a long lighter already set up at the fireplace, CLEAN sets and outdoor area, a few paper plates and utensils, extra toiletries if you’ve mistakenly forgotten them, toys / games for all ages - including the whole family, blackout shades OR curtains depending on your preference, set up for coffee/tea with sugar and cream, instructions for everything. The hosts were immediately responsive prior to and during our stay. The house felt private and but also not too far from civilization. We will be coming back every year after this. Truly a perfect rental.

Central to the Area, very clean, a real gem.

We wanted to stay centralized to everything in the area of Harpers Ferry, but not stay IN harpers ferry, and this property was perfect. We also looked for something quiet and clean. Also perfect. I would say the house rules are a bit over the top, but understand its probably necessary with some families. Was in a storm, lost power and the refrigerator, lost our food in there. Host was unresponsive for a day with no cell service, but quickly responded once communication was established again. All in all, a great clean home to stay in.

Why they chose this property

Our neighborhood is relatively quiet. We are close to a main road, which makes access to the fun stuff easy! The house sits on 1/2 acre of land which backs into the woods. Occasionally, you will see wildlife, such as deer and rabbits. There is a lake nearby and the house gives you that cozy mountain cabin feel.
